Recommended Customer Reviews

Just like every other review, this company was dispatched by American Home Shield to my house. It has been two weeks and AHS claims they are still waiting on the guy to submit his diagnosis. If there were a 0 star option I would be giving it.

Calvert's plumbing was sent to us by our home warranty. I did read the reviews before the guy came. Surely they couldn't be that bad. Well they were! The guy Robert was here less than 5 minutes saying he does only plumbing and our problem was faucets. I called my home warranty and they said he said it was seal problem. WTH!? Fix the damn thing. He was paid 75.00 for a less than 5 minute visit. He never even turned on the water.
This company should not be in business. The guy probably wasn't even a plumber

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have had the exact same experiences as everyone else. This company was dispatched from HSA. After 2 weeks of waiting and 2 no-shows, the tech finally showed up late, of course. He barely spoke and had horrible customer service.
He replaced a leaking pipe and instead of going out the garage door where he was, he decided to take the dripping pipe up my brand new carpeted stairs and outside staining our brand new carpet. So I had the pleasure of cleaning that up. When he left we went into the garage where there was a giant puddle of water standing on the floor with a roll of paper towels sitting on the work bench untouched. There was water everywhere. All over the work bench and tools and all over the floor. He then tracked this dirt and water up my stairs. Super professional clearly. I would NEVER recommend this company for anything.

So what I thought was a good repair on my water heater turned out to be a garbage job that voided ANY OF MY COVERED HOME WARRANTY REPAIRS. My water heater went out in April of 2019, I submitted a service request like I have done with any other issue. The technician came out and said the valve had leaked and caused something to rust so they just needed to weld it back together. Great! They never told me that they bypassed my high limit safety function of my water heater. So when my water heater went out again last week, I submitted another service request and just asked for things to be replaced so that we would maintain a working water heater. The new technician from a different company informed me of what the previous company had done. My service request was denied due to the job of Calvert Plumbing Heating and Cooling. This company is pure garbage. I have been calling them for 5 days now, with no return call. If I knew where they were located, I would be in their lobby until the remedied this situation.

I think 0 stars is appropriate for this review. I was assigned Calvert from the HSA Home Warranty company after I paid $75 to have them come look at my toilet. They came about two days later which was great however they left without fixing it and said they would come back to fix it. Well after two weeks passed I tried calling Calvert only to get ""mail box is full"" everytime I call. I did get someone on the phone eventually and she said they were swamped and she would look into it. Another week passes and I finally get a hold of HSA and they tell me Calvert says it's a ""pre-existing"" condition with our toilet and it would cost $150 for me to have them come out and fix it! Really??? I'm going to pay $225 to fix an old toilet when I can buy a new one for $100 bucks. HSA said I can get a second opinion if I want for another $75...What a racket. Weeks of frustration and having only two toilets for 5 people in the house. My regular plumber could've fixed it the next day.

Trash company. The plumber came to my home and he had no idea what he was doing. I needed my floor drain unstopped. He had to call someone for instructions and suggested jack hammering my floor up. He literally left and never returned after saying he would get back to me. No call or follow-up after 3 weeks. I called another plumber and he snaked the line. Problem solved.

I was assigned this company from HSA and they came out and did nothing and didn't do what they told us - which was to send the quote to HSA. They did nothing. Two weeks later I got in touch with them and they lied to me and said HSA denied the claim. HSA tried to dispatch them again to finish the very easy job of replacing a 6 gallon water heater. They lied to the HSA and told them it was a pool heater. I can't recommend you stay away from this company any more than I am right now.

Incredibly unprofessional. Continued excuses about why they missed appointments. Why they didn't call or email back. That they couldn't get ahold of their team. Went on for weeks. Also an AHS referral. The one time they did come out they left the kitchen faucet leaking and damaging the hardwood floors and subfloors.
They even told us that we should cut them slack because they work full time jobs in addition to this job and they are busy. I am not interested in excuses. I am interested in results.

I, too, had a horrible experience. First, the technician was late and didn't call to let me know. Then, when he arrived, he was a kid who didn't appear very confident. That suspicion was confirmed when he looked at my problem (shower faucet) and completely misdiagnosed it (after I explained what the problem was, contrary to his initial thought that the plumbing had to be accessed through the wall and replaced, whereas all that was needed was a new valve in the existing plumbing). Then he submitted a ticket to American Home Shield with his diagnosis, including that some parts were missing (which they were not, yet which voided my contract). But that turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because I would have hated to have him come back and do any more work on the faucet. No telling how much damage he would have done!
When I tried to call the company to complain, the call went right to the kid's cell phone. I expressed my disappointment in his/his company's service, but to no avail. He either didn't understand what I was saying, or didn't care (probably both).
So PLEASE DO NOT use this company! (I've also cancelled my contract with AHS, because apparently they think it is OK to contract with a company like this!

I had and still have an issue that I'm dealing with. My plumbing started to back up and when I contacted Ameican Home Shield they sent this joke of a company Calvery plumbing. They sent a young kid that first off tried to come into my home without an invite and I had to tell him to wait. I then let him in a he stood there with no greeting or what he was there to do. Didn't check the problem when I told him what was wrong and immediately just walked around my house for a clean out and after 5 minutes of looking. He told me he didn't know what to do. Spent no more than 10 minutes in my house and then told me he had no clue what to do and he had two more appointments to go to and he would have to come back. In the time he was there he used my personal ladder, told me his machine was broke and would take two people anyways, had no diagnosis as to what was going on or how to resolve any of it. Then went outside and sat there picking his finger nails for 10 minutes. I called the number online and it forwarded straight to him, the next two times another voicemail. The next call I got was that he had appointments to go to and would call me back. I never heard from the company again.
SAVE YOURSELF AND DO NOT USE CALVERT PLUMBING OR AMERICAN HOME SHIELD!!
