This is the second time I've used Cal's Plumbing, and he'll be my first call next time I need fast, friendly and fair service. Cal knows his stuff and does excellent quality work. (He also used safer Covid-19 practices in our home, which is much appreciated!)

We called Cal's Plumbing based on his Yelp reviews and we were intrigued by his moniker, ""Cal, Master Plumber of the Universe."" Turns out, it is spot on! Cal is a sincere, helpful, honest guy who does great work, reasonably priced. He calls back and shows up as promised, not always the norm in the service industry. We had a leaky toilet, which presented as a gasket issue. Cal suggested we try tightening the bolts and making sure it was seated properly. We did. No luck. Cal came out first thing in the morning to do the work at the quoted price. He is now our go-to guy! Thanks Cal!

My son was house sitting in Encinitas and a sprinkler head by the front door broke and was gushing water. He had no idea where the shut off valve was so he called me. I'm not a plumber!

The good news is I knew Cal Campbell, who is also affectionately known by his clients as ""The Master Plumber of the Universe."" I called him and he must have had his jet-pack on because he was on the scene in no time. Fortunately there was no real damage but that's because Cal was so efficient. For al your plumbing needs (not just those pesky emergencies) I can totally recommend Cal of Cal's Plumbing.

Cal has been our plumber for many years. He's reliable, very very competent, honest and leaves every thing clean. We had a pressure regulator and three bathroom faucets replaced. Cal did this while we were back east. The day before I left, while emptying the bathroom vanity we realized the sink would most likely need to be replaced. I texted Cal and let him know the situation. Authorized him to pick out a durable easy to clean sink. He did. Everything was installed and ready to go. I trust Cal so much I didn't worry about plumbing problems while we were gone.

I paid for most of the work upfront since we weren't going to be here. Cal left a bill for the sink and installation. I was pleased with the $225 bill for both. It's great to have someone so trustworthy to call on.

Quality of the work was good and he appeared to be quite knowledgeable. We called ahead and he was pretty straightforward about the labor charge and how long he thought it would take to fix the issue. However, I was really disappointed in the amount he charged for parts and materials. Basically charging a 500% markup. Perhaps I should have asked beforehand but I wasn't expecting such a significant charge for parts that I know the retail cost. I think he would have been honest if asked beforehand so just make sure you do so as the work was done well, but just felt that he took advantage of us not asking. Oh well!

Had a tenant call the other day, said his shower was clogged. Called Cal to see when he could get out there and said he happened to be in that neighborhood. Called my tenant that he would be over in a few. Cal swung by and unclogged the shower in a jiffy. Tenant happy, I'm happy, all is good. Can always count on Cal to take care of my tenants. Knows what he is doing and gets the job done. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good plumber.

When you come home and see water running out your garage you want to know who to call. I immediately called Cal and within 45 minutes he was there ready to do whatever it took to help out. The next day a new water heater was installed with a new set up, drain pan and water line to avoid any future problems. I am recommending him to most all of clients because he is responsive and professional.
