We discovered that our copper pipes were deteriorating after two leaks in a 24 hour period. We had several plumbers come give us an estimate to replumb our entire house. Calix had very competitive pricing. After not having water for over a week, we were ecstatic when we made the decision to use them on Saturday, that they were able to come on Tuesday and be done by Thursday. He also ensured that we had one full working bathroom before they left on Tuesday. The whole crew was professional and did quality work. There was a hiccup after they left (not caused by the crew) and Elmer came back and fixed it for us. He is a good, honest businessman. Highly recommend.

Elmer and his brother replaced my main water line, about 50 feet from the house to the curb water meter, under the Home Serve insurance (Dominion Energy) program. They did an exceptionally fine job, did not have to tear up concrete in my basement as one plumbing company thought would have to be done, replaced my ancient main shut off valve with a new ball valve, chose the best solution for the material and layout of the new water line, explained what they intended to do and then did a great job. They have up to date equipment and are careful with the digging. They arrived when they promised and have years of experience with main water lines. Very happy with this master plumber's work.
(Note that my policy with Home Serve, excludes replacement of drywall removed to access the water line in the basement or whereever. That said, they made a neat cut and it can be patched fairly easily.)

Extremely pleased with the service we received from Calix today. Replaced our water heater in record time. Done professionally, tested and working perfectly. We were given good information about what to do to maintain it in good working order for years to come. They specified a timeframe for arrival and were here when they said they'd be. Elmer and Dennis were called by Homeserve, which is the insurance company that works with Dominion power to replace water lines. I can't speak more highly to the work they did and the courtesy they displayed while here. Instead of the less expensive, but more intrusive repair that the insurance company initially wanted to do, Elmer convinced them to replace the entire water line from the meter into the house. We were without water for about four hours but the job was done in one day (Other than coming back early the next morning to fill in the trench they had to dig from the water meter past where the utilities were buried.) their cleanup exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend Calix.

Skilled professionals originally from Honduras did very good job for my home. Had water line leak due to factory defective copper line inside the black pvc pipe. Difficult situation with roots/layout and the way home was originally built 40 years ago. They took time and made sure things are done properly. Good friendly church going people that I recommend for your plumbing needs.

I have come to learn following damage to my home that plumbing work Elmer Calix and Calix Plumbing did in the master bathroom of my home that could not be seen was substandard and caused leaking that did damage. Basically he did not properly fasten fixtures in my
Master shower - that caused leaking. There were also other problems with the rainfall attachment and one of the drains. I COULD NOT HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THE ISSUES UNTIL A VERY BAD LEAK AND DRYWALL BEING CUT TO FULLY EXAMINE HIS WORK.

When I invited him or his insurance to come and inspect the situation that has led to leaking into a lower level I was ignored or hung on.

Unfortunately - I will have no choice but to pay for the repairs out of pocket and file suit against Calix Plumbing in Court.

Wow, if I could add more stars, Calix would get them all. Today's total was 1/2+ less than what I paid 3 years ago for the same job. Elmer explained everything, he knows what he is doing and I was certain things will be fixed right. It's been a long time since I have been able to say with confidence I had a plumber to recommend.

We had a leaking yard a month ago and out of all the calls we made Calix came through the soonest and with the most fair price of all the bids. They finished replacing our water line quickly and the grass is already growing back in the areas that needed to be dug up. I highly recommend Calix to anyone who needs a plumber and will use them again when needed.
