We just received maybe the worst customer service and treatment here ever. My husband & I got here 5 mins before the close of this store today, but we had no idea they closed at 3 pm until we were already on our way. Not wanting to be rude, we called first & asked if it was ok that we come because we would be getting there so late & explaining we only had a quick question. The gentleman on the phone was nice & accommodating stating that it wouldn't be a issue & they would even wait for us if need be. That was a great start that quickly disintegrated upon entering the store. First off when we entered the store we couldn't find anyone to help us, they were there but in the back office of the store. We waited about 5 mins until we decided maybe we should call.. That part was weird.. But we thought they must be busy with something & didn't mind waiting. Right when I was about to call a dark haired middle aged lady came out & refused to answer the few questions we had. I understand if the answer may not be simple, but at least take a min to explain what the variables are regarding cost & why you can't answer. We certainly were not being demanding, we were simply trying to give them our business. We've never bought this sort of thing before & we were looking for mere guidance. The worst part was that her voice was angry & she was extremely short with us from the get go. She was honestly Origin of the name Joan:

Contracted form of the French Johanne, which is a feminine form of John (God is gracious). The name's most famous bearer is perhaps Joan of Ark (1412 - 31), the young French saint and heroine claimed to be a soldier of God. Under her leadership, the French Army defeated the English at Orleans in 1429. She was eventually captured and sold to the English who burned her at the stake for witchcraft in 1431. She was canonized in 1920.reacting to us as if we came to her home & trying to sell her something she didn't want at her door and she couldn't wait for us to leave. It was the weirdest experience ever & we will never go back because if this woman.

California Countertops did an excellent job on my kitchen counters. From start to installation everything was handled professionally. Robin in the showroom was friendly and very helpful. The removal of my countertops took place just two days after I made a decision about the counters (it was hard to decide because they carry so many styles). The installation took place in under two weeks, and I couldn't be happier with the result. I visited Home Depot, Lowes, Ikea (extremely unfriendly) and a company called Integrity who came and measured and then disappeared. I made the right decision in choosing California Countertops.

I visited California countertops on Friday, January 31 and met with Christina. Christina emailed me her quote on Saturday. I responded on Monday to ask if there was any way we could discuss the quote as my husband and I are retired and were working with a budget. Not only did she NOT respond to my email even to say no change in quote possible she didn't even have the courtesy to respond at all. Even if we could find the entire amount I would not deal with this company due to their lack of response.

Great experience from beginning to end. I purchased a solid surface countertop after checking prices at Home Depot and Cosco. California countertop had best prices. Installation was perfect. Installers were professional and easy to work with. I would recommend them.

We were interested in Corian and Quartz for our kitchen countertop. After making some choices in the showroom with Christine, she said she would email us the two quotes by lunch the next day. By 3pm, I popped in and she hadn't even started the quotes and asked me which one I was leaning towards. I said we liked both, so it might come down to price. She said corian would probably by cheaper, but she would get me the quotes in about an hour.

At the end of the day, we got an email quote for Quartz only and it was over $5,000. This is compared to 2 other quotes for quartz that we got for about $3,500 from Lowes and Best Granite in Chula vista. We never did get the Corian quote from Christine, and we ended up going with Best Granite.

She continually told us how busy they were, so I believe she was pricing us out.

As a first time buyer I was not sure about the process of all the measuring and how the cabinets had to be prepared for the granite, but this company made it so easy. When measuring guy came by he explained everything, apparently my stove opening was too big so he measured how it supposed to be and advised how to fix the problem.
Installation day was just a week later, all pieces were cut perfect, stove and farm house sink fit perfectly. Great people doing great job. Thank You.

The other day I noticed that my stainless steel sink had about a 1 centimeter gap from the granite. This is a kitchen that is about 5 years old and really should not be happening. (for the geeks or people who need more information, It was a double basin sink and was not supported at all in the center and the sink started 'sinking' leaving a gap in the granite- the silicone was useless)

So I called handymen, plumbers, granite people...Many people were clueless on how to properly fix the problem ; one handyman declined the work because he had tried before and failed. I apparently needed to call a countertop fabricator and one recommended was California Countertop.

The first time I called ,a guy answered and said that they would charge 150 to come out and look at the sink and they would fix it right then and there and they could come that afternoon... but he thought that it was an easy fix, that a handy man should be able to do the job. I needed to think about it more so I didn't agree to it at the time. I got a couple of other quotes from people willing to do the job and they were willing to do it for 150 as well, but they seemed to be band-aid fixes and had never seen such a problem with a sink before... So I thought if I was going to spend 150$ I might as will do it right.

I called today at 11:30 and the lady that answered the phone asked a lot of questions, trying to understand what I needed, then I left a message to an employee there. An hour and a half later I get a phone call saying that someone could come out but it would be $150. I was prepared for that so I agreed. They came 30 minutes later, saw my sink, was familiar with the problem, went back to their truck to get supplies and began work immediately. An hour later the job was completed! It was so quick and easy and I feel really confident that this was fixed appropriately and that it wont happen again.

So If anyone else has a similar problem as I did, look here! They will do good work and quick!

I want to add that the 2 handymen that were willing to try and fix it, each had a different method to correct the problem than what was done with California countertop. While I am sure there would be more than one way to fix this, I think CC posed the least number of potential problems in the future.

Friendly staff and great selection of materials. We went with a quartz piece for a bathroom vanity and are very happy with fabrication-- beautifully polished and clean edges. CC was able to meet our tight scheduling needing a quick turnaround time.
Just be sure to double check your required dimensions/measurements before ordering to avoid issues: Remember templates that come with your sink don't always match exactly and it's probably better to go with a smaller than bigger hole cutout.
Also, if you're doing a three-hole lavatory faucet-- note if you want widespread or not.

Great selection of materials, but one of the Customer Service personnel was unable unable to answer my questions in regards to the pricing of the various stones and told me maybe I should go elsewhere. Also they dropped the ball when it came time to cut the piece. Left waiting for days only to find out they did not even have the material. If I had not called they would have not even know.

Would I use them again? Probably not.
