Hi there, my name is Sam.
I’m a co-founder of California Coast Plumbing, and I enjoy assisting others while establishing trust with my clients.
Before I hit 40, I aspired to run my own business, a goal aligned with the American dream, and I was blessed to connect with my partner last year. His name is Nick. He was servicing a water heater at my sister's place, and his honesty and integrity impressed me. I realized he was the right fit.
And now, I’m proud to be running my own company and fulfilling my vision of the American dream.

We recently had a slab leak in our 29 year old house. Luckily for us, the leak was right at the main inlet where the pipe went into the foundation, so no damage was done other than some wasted water. Slab leaks have been common in my neighborhood over the last few years, so I asked my neighbors who they used and if they liked them. I called a few of these plumbers too, but I really had a pushing salesy feeling. One of the vendors was even bad mouthing others, which is very negative in my opinion.

California Coast Plumbing was one of the vendors that came onsite to quote out and take a look at the leak. Nick took him time to really listen to me before giving his opinions on how to solve the leak. His recommendations resulted in more questions that he was very happy to answer. I had another vendor come onsite to look at the issue and they immediately started to tell me that they are going to cap the pipe on both ends, do a leak detection, etc etc. They didn't even let me ask my questions on options. Knowing that many neighbors have had slab leaks, I was more interested in re-piping the house than fixing the leak, and this second vendor immediately started down the ""let's fix it"" route. And they wanted to charge nearly $500 for this leak detection test.

From the second vendors visit, I had more questions for Nick and again, he took the time to explain why they were telling me what they were. I really appreciated his transparency and honesty. Nick's quote was more than HALF less than the previous vendor, and after a quick Google on each of their products, Nick's material was much better. At this point I decided to move forward with California Coast Plumbing and I couldn't be any happier. Nick's crew was amazing. Literally 1 day to re-pipe the house and a second day to patch the drywall. I also had a water softener installed at the same time. Nick did this himself and was super professional. Keeping everything very clean looking.

I was beyond impressed with Nick and his crews. I *HIGHLY* recommend him for any of your plumbing needs. They also do HVAC too. Thank you Nick for everything you did. You, and your team, went above and beyond.

We needed to change out our daughters bathroom faucet at her condo. I've done this before but this was a pedestal sink. Quickly got into trouble and called my plumber late on a Friday afternoon. He's busy and going to be gone all weekend but he recommended California Coast Plumbing. We called Nick around 4:30 he was there at 6 and done by 7. I'm impressed and he saved my ........ Nick and his helper did a great job and cleaned up everything. Thank you Nick

AVOID - AVOID - AVOID
we had a leak issue for a new house and he had given us an estimate of $1700 to fix. This job and few other additions ( changing shower heads, adding bidet and fixing toilet bowl running water as well as fixing another leak, which he determined was not a leak and all he needed to do was to remove a cabinet and do a patch work was assigned to him to fix. The process was done ( after delays and delays) but it was not satisfactory and after few back and forth to redo the terrible patch job which he blamed for not being able to detect the awful roof texture finish, due to being finished late at night , which he fixed after our complaint. Then, The owner (NICK) out of thin air, found a new problem ( his diagnosis- clogged pipe in courtyard) and advised he can fix it for $600 more , but it turned out he didn't fix it, and said he will have to have another person come to help and bring a bigger machine. Took 4 days to give an estimate, left muddy water and refuse in our courtyard for the duration and after we pressed him to finalize, came up with a $5900 estimate to get the problem fixed. We told him we will get a second estimate as this was much higher that he had initially indicated and when we got the second estimate for $1900, he said , don't worry, he will BEAT THAT? how could you drop$4000 on your estimate in 10 minutes??? and how honorable was that initial estimate???
We told him not interested anymore and his original diagnosis appeared to be bogus as well, but he insisted that he wanted to get paid for what he didn't fix!

Nick (the owner) needs customer service training. Basically, we opened a claim with AHS for plumbing service for a water heater and toilet and AHS assigned us a plumber (California Coast Plumbing). Nick's office manager (wife I think?) called to schedule an appointment for Nick to come out to diagnose our issues. Nick came out and found the problem and said they would call to schedule us for a follow-up appointment. That call never came. I called them 5 TIMES just to make a follow-up appointment and they kept saying they will call back later in the week. I called them on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and finally they decided to book an appointment for Thursday afternoon after I repeatedly called over and over. They gave me a 1-3pm window for Nick to show up. 1:05pm Nick's office calls and says the office made a mistake and they will need to push back the appointment until the next day. At this point, after waiting for days and days to make an appointment, and after taking time off work to go home early and wait I said NO. I made it clear to them I was no longer interested and I would find someone else, and that was it. But Nick decided that he needed to get involved and call even after I told them ""no thanks"". Nick calls a few minutes later and starts arguing with me and going back and forth and talking over me and saying things like ""I am the only plumber who can do this"" lol, yea right there are thousands of plumbers in california, and Nick just did not want to listen to reason about how I wasted time out of my day to wait for him but his office decided to screw up the scheduling. Basically, extremely rude owner who doesn't want to accept blame for what his staff (wife?) did. Nick could have been the world's best plumber but I would not want him to come fix our issues after this, it's a matter of principle. 1 star for RUDENESS, ARROGANCE, SERVICE, and for SCHEDULING MISTAKES

The kitchen sink drain appeared to be blocked up. The first place I called was too busy. The receptonist, Karen, told me to try California Coast Plumbing, and call Rosie. She responded quickly, took down my information and said a man, Nick, could be there late afternoon to look at it, & bring truck with tools to be able to fix it. He came and assessed the situation, made some recommendations, and ended up sending a 30 foot snake down the drain line. Fast service. Highly experienced and knowledgeable with reasonable prices & good communication. Recommended.

It's a pretty special day....So I never have to look on Yelp for a plumber ever again!

I found my guy! Nick

The most amazing plumber I have ever dealt with -- literally puts all other companies I have dealt with so far to shame .... and is on the pedestal as the best plumbing company in Orange County

Used my home warranty so initially they sent another company out who said it couldn't be done without approvals ... typical negative Nancy business...they will be getting a review later today

Not satisfied having not had water in the house for 36 hours ...I reached out to these guys and Nick took charge being a problem solver !

The best ever....

Thank u good sir if u get to read this message.

So I have to preface this by saying, I have been using California Coast Plumbing for nearly 8 years. Are used to manage a large portfolio properties... So last evening when my mainline backed up and my bathroom flooded I knew exactly who to call! Mike P and Leslee (the dispatch) Took all of the worry off of my shoulders! I have a disabled teenage son and only one bathroom! I was really panicked and didn't know what to do. Leslee got Mike out straight away, and he and Jesus left my house cleaner than when they got there! I am most impressed because they were already on another job and it was late in the evening and they could've just refused the job and gone home to sleep... So I am ever grateful that they showed up fixed the problem And we're nice, polite and as expedient as ever!! Thanks Gores family for having such wonderful teammates

I was over visiting my son & daughter in law in Laguna Niguel, Ca. My son said that his hot water heater was not heating the water. We both tried multiple times to relight the pilot light & get the hot water heater to heat. I had used California Coast Plumbing last year and was very happy with their service. I talked my daughter in law to let me call ""Nick"" at California Coast Plumbing. Nick was out within the hour. He spent about 20 mins. working to get the hot water heater to light. Finally it was working perfectly. He said to wait on the payment as he wanted to see if it would stay working. I texted him today to let him know that all was well with the water heater. I asked what we owed him & he replied no charge for the service call. Wow, that's awesome. That's how he treats repeat customers. I told him that his company will be our first call for our plumbing needs in the future. Great Customer Service.
