I've returned to Calibet for my plumbing needs 3 times now. Once to adjust our water pressure going into the house, once to repair our garbage disposal, and once when our kitchen sink was backed up. Each time they were kind, patient, fast, reasonably priced, and a pleasure to do business with.

Take note all business owners. This is how you run a business. I doubt anyone would give them fewer than 5 stars.

Had an underground leaking pipe - called at 11:00, they were here and done by 12:30. Quick, friendly, professional, and a very fair price, especially considering the quick turnaround. Will definitely call on again.

I called Calibet Plumbing to fix a clog in my toilet & bath tub as a result of a back-up in my main line. I was desperate after I was told by another technician from another company who will remain nameless, (hint: it was a ""Neighborhood"" Plumbing company that may have the word ""Neighborhood"" in its name & may also have ""Plumbing & Rooter"" in its name in Van Nuys) that it would be a $4,800 plumbing problem after he looked for a whole minute into the clean-out (without tools or a camera).. Having experienced other dishonest plumbers sent by my warranty company who typically give you bogus high quotes just so they can take the $75 service fee and run, I decided to contact Calibet & pay out of pocket. I'm glad I did.

As other reviewers have stated, these guys are very honest. Oliver, the owner of the company & a very nice guy, came out as scheduled on a Saturday and, after snaking one section of the pipe & seeing no result, proceeded to snake another section of the pipe, which took a lot longer because it was only accessible from the roof. Yes, he actually climbed my roof to access the pipe & run the snake through it! He was very patient & methodical & was determined to get the job done. Most plumbers would have given up & said they would need to dig up your yard to access the pipes & charge you thousand more. After another 30 minutes, he was able to clear the clog. It cost me a little over $200, not $4,800 as those other crooks in the Neighborhood quoted me. I will only use Caibet for all my plumbing needs & will never use my warranty company again. . They are very professional & knowledgeable & will get the job done at a reasonable price.

Wonderful company! Will be working with Oliver from now on. I am a real estate agent and have had a difficult time finding a plumber who would do small to large jobs, be professional, reasonable prices and do the work when they said they would. Oliver exceeded all of my expectations.

I found the seemingly only honest plumber in LA! I cannot rave enough about Oliver and Calibet Plumbing. He came with Conner, who was also great. Let me tell you why Oliver gets a 5-star review (I think he deserves 10 stars!). The plumber who ""fixed"" my shower 3 months ago did not actually fix it. He ""rebuilt"" the stems but Oliver explained that it's a $20 part and not worth rebuilding them. Boy, was he right! The plumbing company who ""fixed"" it 3 months ago did not stand by their work. I will never used them again but they did me a favor since I now have a capable, kind and honest plumber instead! I called Oliver about an unrelated problem yesterday and he told me I could fix it easily and I did. The shower was another and larger problem.

Last night, the shower leaked a lot and this morning I made an appt. for next week with Oliver. He was kind and courteous on both calls. I took a shower in the afternoon and the hot water would not shut off at all. I spent 90 minutes carrying buckets of the running water to water my yard in this drought-afflicted area and called Oliver about halfway through. He kindly came today, he arrived quickly and actually replaced the parts with new parts this time. He also showed me how easily they can break and how to avoid that. I was being very careful before but I will be extra careful going forward. By the way, he knew I was in a bind, came on a Saturday, did not charge more since I was unlucky enough to have it break on a weekend and stuck to the same price it would have been next week. He was courteous, patient, amazing and just a delight! And he charged a reasonable price.

Wow! I no longer have to worry about being soaked by plumbers who don't do the job right the first time and then don't take your call since they don't want to stand by their work. By contrast, Oliver was fast, professional, did a great job and had a wonderful attitude.

If you are reading this, I would suggest calling Oliver first to save the time, trouble, cost and aggravation of dealing with a less honorable plumber. It was an expensive lesson to learn but I am very happy with the results.

These guys really are awesome. This whole homeownership thing is new to me so when the plumbing started going nuts at my condo and I realized I couldn't just call a landlord to fix it, I was at a loss as to what plumbing company to call. In the past, the reviews of my fellow Yelpers have helped me find both a great cleaning company and a fantastic garage door repair company. That said, I decided to take a chance on Calibet Plumbing because of the Yelp reviews, but also because of the conversations I had with the owner Oliver. I spoke live with him about the plumbing problems at my home and I got a great vibe from him right away. He gave me his recommendations on what probably needed to be done, provided me with a quote and we set a date and time for the plumbing repairs to be done. On the day of the appointment, Oliver and Todd showed up on time, fixed a leaking sink and a toilet that was running and also replaced a food disposal that crapped out on me. Both Oliver and Todd were super friendly and very transparent when answering my questions about some other repairs and replacements I might be looking to do in the future. They are now my go to for any plumbing repairs and I will have them back in a few months to replace an old toilet and fix some loose plumbing fixtures.

They are all deserved. Here is the short summary: I wish that _every_ professional interaction I had was on the level provided by Calibet Plumbing. For me, the best thing I can say is that when I have a problem I know that I can make a single phone call and forget about it. It will be resolved and resolved well and quickly.

Personally (home) and professionally (restaurant) I have used Calibet Plumbing. The prices have always been reasonable (I'm a diy'er fyi -- so, everything is gauged against the time/cost of doing the work myself) and the service has been fast and professional and competant.

Looking back, I have been using their services for about 5 years now in various capacities (inspections, drainage issues, repiping, leak repair, etc etc) and have always been impressed by their knowledge and service.

A homeowners worst nightmare, a backed-up main sewer line! After getting an outrageous quote from one of the chain plumbing outlets I was referred to Oliver by a friend. He came out promptly did what had to be done quite efficiently at a much more reasonable price (less than 1/2 the original quote). He took the time to explain what needed to be done without any attitude.
I will definitely use him again!

Have used these guys twice, once to repair a sink and the other to clear a pipe that was backed up in our laundry room. Excellent company! Very honest, affordable. Always quick to respond to my call and they show up when they say they will. Have tried a few plumbers around the Valley and Calibet will always get my business.
