We used them for a couple projects when we first purchased the home. Added electric outlets to our garage, outdoor security lighting, repair of a bathroom fan. The project started soon after accepting bid and materials ordered. The owner and 2 of his workers did the jobs over 2 days. However at the end of the 2nd day, the owner left the site earlier and his 2 workers stayed behind. The problem was his employees spoke little English, and I don't speak any Armenian. So, when they said they were done, one light switch panel didn't work and our communication was an issue. I called the owner and he said he would come back himself at a later date, and fix it. The owner never came back. I called and left message, no return call. I eventually had another electrician troubleshoot and repair the light panel issue. The real problem I have is that one of the security lights stopped working 6 months later. Tried calling again, and left 2 messages, he never called back. Tried texting, and the owner replied he was busy and would get back to us soon, but never responded, even with follow up texting and pics. Owner stopped acknowledging messages and texts. Bad business practices when you don't call your customers back, to repair to your existing work and materials. Leaving a 2 Star, simply because the work that was done initially was satisfactory. The lack of follow up and communication, and bad business practices is why 2 stars is all CalGreen will receive for this review.

I totally agree with Randy B., Jerry who is the owner of Calgreen is fantastic. I've used Jerry's company twice now, once to replace a water heater in our kitchen, and the second time to install a wall unit AC. He is thorough and reliable and in my experience very honest and gives fair prices. Which is in stark contrast to another electrical company I used before coming across Calgreen. They took advantage of my ignorance and ripped me off. I'm just thankful that I now know a good plumber and electrician that I can trust. I highly recommend Jerry and Calgreen.

I need to update this review because we have used Calgreen for years now and Jerry is STILL THE BEST!! How do you update a 5 star review? Well you don't but as my last review was in 2013.. I thought I would do something more current. He has been my go-to electrical guy for over 8 years... and he is always helpful. I felt bad as I called him to come out today for an outlet that had stopped working outside, only to find out the extension cord we were using for our holiday light display was tripping the ground circuit. It was a matter of changing extension cords. He figured it out quickly and went on his way asking only for a bottle of water. I mean, that is the kind of service that keeps us as repeat customers!

Jerry was fantastic! We sprung a lot of last minute questions/requests at him the first day he came in to start a re-wire on our whole house. He took it all in stride, still met the original schedule despite all the extra requests, and had great recommendations and insight on the questions we had about the additions we wanted to make.

After moving into my first home, I had a number of plumbing and electrical problems. Jerry was able to come out quickly and get everything and more repaired with excellent service
I had a leaky toilet, leaky kitchen sink, a new electrical outlet installed for a microwave, an outdoor faucet bib replaced, and new shower fixtures installed.
I will be recommending calgreen to everyone.

I am extremely disappointed. After reading the positive reviews, I decided to call Calgreen as first choice, and Mr Electric second. This is Monday morning Sept. 26. Talked to a guy name Jerry. Told him of a small repair job needed but, most importantly, an electrical inspection of my home is what I really need the most because of the age of the structure. I further explain that it is a residential care home for the elderly and I am concern about safety of my residents.

An appointment was set for Thursday Sept 29 between 8:30 to 9:30 AM. After 15 minutes, I called Jerry again to ask how could he quote me $150.00 for a complete home electrical inspection when he never asked how big my home is. There must be a difference in charges for a home with 1500. sq ft as opposed to 3000 sq ft. I also asked him what the inspection points are wanting to know how thorough it is going to be. He said he is at a job and busy at the time. He promised to call me back in the afternoon. I reminded him that we have an appointment Thursday, and offered my name and phone number to make sure he knows who he is talking to. ""I remember and your phone number is showing on my cell"", he said. Well, this bozo never called in the afternoon and never showed up on the day of the appointment. NOT even a phone call to cancel the appointment.

EXCEEDINGLY UNPROFESSIONAL. NOT DEPENDABLE. DID NOT HONOR HIS PROMISE NOR HIS APPOINTMENT. NOT RECOMMENDED

Went with Jerry and Calgreen to do a 200 amp panel upgrade and a copper repipe on an old house I just bought. I went with Jerry because I was able to get it all done ""in one shop"" so to speak and the bid was very competitive. But really it came down to Jerry being super nice, super honest, and making me feel at ease about the work that was going to be done.

They were able to schedule right when I needed them, his crew worked super hard in the hot weather, crawling around underneath in my crawlspace, and Jerry put up with all my annoying first time homeowner questions. They said it would take 4-5 days and they got done in 3 and a half! Even fixed a bad light switch that wasn't part of the original job. The work was done on budget and I have no complaints.

We've used calgreen in the past, about 4 years ago and was very pleased. An we are in the process of purchasing a new home, we needed some electrical and plumbing work done. It works out great when 1 vendor does both. They showed up fully equipped and ready to do the work.
Jerry and his team are very professional, on time (which is a rare find in the construction industry)

I moved into my house 5 yrs ago now and the house needed some work and many updates. As luck would have it I came across this company as I searched for a Plumber and for an electrician. I've been using them ever since. The pricing is very reasonable, the work is very professional,and the job is done in the amount of time quoted. Overall great work and fair pricing, it's just an extra bonus Jerry has a friendly personality. I was very lucky to have found them, and my parents use them now too. My parents were very impressed with Jerry and the work he did for them!
