We create and set up our own ventilation systems (sheet metal ductwork) when putting in a new system to ensure compliance with codes and when working on HVAC in new constructions. This ensures that the job is completed correctly and may save you money.
We install hot water heaters, including the latest tankless models, set up new water and sewer services when required and resolve any plumbing challenges you have, from leaky pipes to running toilets. We handle the replacement of any needed fixtures.
In the month of May, 1967, Augustine ""Augie"" Calfo and Donald ""Slim"" Haight started Calfo & Haight, Inc. At that time, there were three team members: Augie, Slim, and Gerry Calfo (Augie's wife). Gerry managed the phones and bookkeeping. As business increased, so did the staff count. In due course, Augie's children became part of the business, with two of them, Nick and Dawn, contributing to the company. Augie's oldest grandson also became a plumber and joined the team.
We are known for our trustworthiness and warmth with our patrons. We feel honored that we still have long-standing relationships with some of our original customers.
While Augie and Slim are no longer with us, Nick, Gerry, and Dawn continue the legacy. We employ long-time plumbing and HVAC technicians performing the on-site work. Every team member is regarded as family, which is why they remain with us for so long.

Kenneth L.This is the first time I have EVER written such a negative scathing review of a contractor, but I am doing it because 1) they are supposedly a 5-star plumber and 2) they totally diss'ed me this morning. I contacted them almost two weeks ago, but they could not respond before I went away, so we scheduled their visit to my property for today. They contacted me yesterday to confirm the appointment that we made about 10 days ago. I was impressed, and I thought I had finally found a reliable plumber to take care of my 18 rental units around north Wilmington, DE. We discussed the appointment and I was told that they would be there at 7:30 AM. That's a little early for me but since I was the first call for the day, I set the alarm for 6:00 A. I arrived at the location at 7:20 AM and proceeded to prepare the work site (i.e. Open basement Bilco doors, hook up garden hose to wash off their equipment after clearing the sewer line, etc). I then sat in my car and waited, and waited. Finally, at 8:00 AM I called their office and after being told maybe they stopped for coffee, I reminded the lady that it doesn't take 1/2 hour to get coffee. She put me on hold for about 1 minute then came back on to tell me that one of their plumbers didn't show up for work today and could we reschedule the appointment for tomorrow... Needless to say I cancelled the service call and told them that I need a company that's more reliable than them. Fortunately, it wasn't an emergency problem, but be forewarned that this plumbing company is totally unreliable and must fall apart when JUST one plumber doesn't show up for work. Since it's impossible to give negative stars, I had to give it one which is 5 times better than they deserve.....

Their representatives professionalism gave me confidence in the organization as a whole and I chose them. Their crew was incredibly professional and work quickly and respectfully. The job was done perfectly, quickly and on schedule. I've since used them again and received the same level of service. They know customer service and quality. These guys are reals pro's and they ""get it"". In fact, a friend of mine who is in the HVAC business referred me to these guys... That says a lot.
