I cannot recommend Calabrese Plumbing too highly: if you have to have a plumbing problem, at least you know who to call! Their response time is excellent, work is done expeditiously and professionally. George answered the phone himself, Ben did the work on our small but important (pressure release valve) problem, George called afterward to make sure that we were happy with their work. Which we definitely were.

I usually hate reading the reviews that start with ""i didn't use him but....""
yet, here I am writing that exact review!

When we woke up Sunday morning to about 50 gallons of water in our basement do to the sudden failure of our 23 year old water heater we didn't know who to call. We tried some of those big name chain companies and quickly new that was the wrong idea. So we checked consumers checkbook and found great ratings and reviews for Calabrese plumbing and gave Mr. Calabrese a call. First things first he answered! which we found was a rarity on Sunday mornings. He was booked till Wed but facetimed with us to be sure we had stopped the leaking for the moment and then gave us the name of a plumber he highly recommended who he thought could get out to us sooner. He wasn't interested in just making money from a job- he actually wanted to help fix the problem even if it meant giving our business to someone else! So I can't speak about his work only his honesty, helpfulness and integrity! If we ever need a plumber again we will definitely call him again! Also, the plumber he reccomended seems equally as helpful and honest-

George Calabrese was outstanding! He came faster than any others could promise, on New Years Eve even though it wasn't an emergency. He only uses the highest quality valves. He insisted on wearing shoe covers even though I invited him not to. He charged significantly less than other plumbers were quoting me. Most important, he did good work. He even stayed for a few minutes longer at no charge and coached me through some other plumbing repairs that I wanted to do myself. An all-around nice guy. Would definitely recommend to others.

I had a hot water heater blow out on me yesterday and I panicked because today is a holiday and water was covering my basement floor. I check some reviews online and came across Calabrese Plumbing. I gave him a call and he came out and replaced it. The service I received was way beyond my expectations. George was very friendly and clean. He did not leave foot prints every where or make a mess. He was very well spoken and answered all my questions. He did not try to up sell me on anything and took great care of me. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that has a plumbing issue. He left my house cleaner then when he came. You are truly a great worker and person. He also gave me suggestions on how often to flush the heater so that it doesn't build up stuff on the inside. Thanks for the superior workman ship!!!!!!

I emailed George Calabrese at 6am after discovering a leak in my dehumidifier valve. After a couple of back and forths on email, he called to discuss the problem I was having and suggested a fix I could do myself before spending money on it as he was booked a week out. The fix worked and I was done by 7:30 and could go to work as normal. You can't ask for a more honest person - refreshing these days. Thanks, George!

Several months ago George helped me to solve a problem over the phone even though I was not a past/present customer! George provided the best estimate for a water softener removal and re-piping. Ben did a great job with removal and George came back today to assist with disposal of the unit. Pleasant and professional. Great experience. George is my go to plumber now!

I called Calabrese Plumbing on a Saturday after having a pipe burst under my sink. George answered my call. Unfortunately for me, he was on vacation. However, he asked if he could FaceTime me to look at the problem. He looked at problem, diagnosed it and then proceeded to give me 3 recommendations of other plumbers he recommended in the area since he was not able to do the work himself. Even though I ended up not using him, you can bet if I have ever have another need for plumbing, he will be the first person I call. Thanks again!

I would like to add my positive opinion to all the others on Yelp. George Calabrese answered the phone himself, when I called. He listened to my description of the problem: hot water coming out of cold water taps. He diagnosed the problem as a worn out mixer valve in the shower and came and fixed it very promptly. He is tidy, efficient, reliable, and friendly and his prices are reasonable. Alleluia!

I had George replace my water heater after he was able to diagnose the issue over the phone on our initial call. I had replaced the cartridge in our shower faucet a couple of times due to a drippy spout and it was only a matter of a few months where the issue returned both times. With the second time, I noticed my hot water pressure had declined significantly so I gave George a call. He suspected that something must be clogging the hot water line and proceeded to ask some questions about my water heater. As it turns out my older Rheem water heater had known issues with the dip tube disintegrating over time and pieces of it would get sucked into the hot water line to cause the issues I was having with the shower faucet. He gave me some instructions to confirm this was the issue, since he could tell I was fairly handy and sure enough I removed the cartridge and could see some white plastic substance stuck in the hot water line of the shower faucet. I sent him a picture and described the material over email. He confirmed that it was dip tube. He did all of this over the phone and via email, talk about great service! Due to the age of the water heater it was only a matter of time, so I had him replace it. No issues since. George is very knowledgeable and wonderful to work with, and he truly provides top notch service. He got the job done right and at a fair price. Thanks George!
