Our galvanized pipes were rotten and had cracked and it released a really bad odor into our home everytime toilets were flushed. It was gross. I called CAL-TECH and spoke to Albert and he showed up that same day to provide a estimate. He was hired and showed up the very next day to take care if that bad odor due to the rotten galvanized pipes. He is extremely knowledgeable, took the time to thoroughly explain the process and the work that he was going to do. I felt confident with his explanation and extremely satisfied after the work that he did. Just like he was recommended to me , I would definitely recommend his services to all my friends and family. Albert came to help my mom replace a valve in her house that a previous plumber installed wrong. I called him for an estimate and he came to the house the same day! He was recommended by my brother in law who he helped before at his house too. Super respectful and professional! He made sure we won't have any more problems... Loved that he's Bilingual and explained everything to my mom that the previous person did wrong without me having to translate. He also went ahead and checked the water pressure and made sure to clear the lines before he left so we don't get random stuff stuck in sinks and stuff. My Gf clogged the shower drain from all her hair so I had to call a Plumber ASAP because I couldn't take a shower.. I called several places and Cal-Tech Plumbing were the only ones who would come the same day and within a couple hours. Albert showed up and was very professional. I've been hiring plumbing contractors for nearly 45 years, in major construction projects, both residential and commercial, as well as for my own home projects over the decades. I've seen quality work that was far too expensive, and substandard work that wasn't worth the time it took to write the check or run my credit card.

Rarely do I come across an individual contractor who possesses that rare quality of knowing his value: more commonly understood as the quality of his work, measured against the price he expects to be paid for that work. Often, average folks expect to be paid more than they're worth, and top notch pros are simply unaffordable.

Albert Sandoval, DBA Cal Tech Plumbing is that one in 10,000 pros who charges less than he's worth. Don't expect him to come plumb your new home in exchange for a Costco roasted chicken, but on the other hand, if that was all you had to offer, he might accept it, do the job, and never tell anyone that you did him wrong. He's one of those rare stand up guys who will take one on the chin and never utter a word about how he got stiffed. Don't get me wrong, or think that you could rip him off, and he'd be back next week for more- he's not stupid. Albert is one of the most dedicated professionals I have ever hired in a trade that can at times be simply crap- literally. He knows his trade well and practices it with dignity, professionalism, and determination. His prices are fair and reasonable in a trade that has become more expensive than seeing a doctor. And if for some reason you need to be cut a little slack, he's the rare contractor who would do a job with little profit, simply because he believed it was the right thing to do, considering all the circumstances. If these qualities weren't sufficient to make you want to call him right now, imagine this: I live in Seattle, Washington and I needed a plumber in Whittier, California, and I needed him immediately- I had a genuine emergency, and was at the mercy of any plumber who said,""Well sir, I've got a lot on my plate this week,and I'm a little backed up, but let me see what we can do."" I had to be willing to pay a serious premium (more commonly called getting over charged, fleeced, gouged, any any number of other things). I called him repeatedly while he was in the middle of a ditch working on a burst sewer line, and not once did he ignore my call and let it go to voice mail. I was shocked. No doubt he knew I was desperate, but he never took advantage of that knowledge. He took my calls, hour after hour, simply because he is one of those professionals who does not have an over inflated view of his own importance. He's like a doctor who does house calls, or a service station attendant who checks your tire pressure, washes your windows, and checks your oil and is quick about it to boot. He reminds me a little bit of the kind of guy my 90 year old dad was back in the 1950's when he'd come home from the fire station after fighting fires all night, throw on his overalls and go pour cement or lay a block wall for a neighbor. Don't get me wrong. Cal Tech is not in business to go out of business because of poor management. Simply put, these guys are top notch in every way, and you'll never walk away wondering, ""Did I pay too much?"" On the contrary: Albert and his guys will leave after you've paid him, and the next day you'll pinch yourself an say, ""Wow, what great work, and what an amazing price."" So what's the catch: Am I his cousin, or his brother-in-law, and this review is a ringer? Not at all. I've never met the man. In fact, three day ago I'd never heard of him- I had no reason to. As I said, I live in Seattle and needed some emergency plumbing done in Whittier, and I got more than I bargained for. I got top notch work, of the highest quality, and paid a very reasonable price- in 2019! Unheard of! Call Albert at Cal Tech. You won't be disappointed. On the contrary- you'll be glad.

I had issues with my toilets and kitchen sink i was referred to Cal-Tech by a friend so I thought I'd give them a try. They were on time and fixed my drain issues by snaking out the main drain and also they recommended a camera of my pipes which I did and to my surprise they found roots! None of the other plumbers offered to check my pipes and we are happy with the service. Conclusion They dug out the pipes and replaced a section and installed a bigger access in case the line needs to be snaked out again in the future. Very professional service and friendly technicians.
