Terrible customer service. Veronica, the receptionist/coordinator, was very unprofessional and never called on time. We were left waiting for several appointments with the technician never showing up (and us taking time off of work). We had to call them after several weeks to learn that the part had come in weeks before...they just forgot to let us know. Veronica seemed upset at us when we pointed out these issues, rather than being apologetic.

The technician, Max, was helpful and nice, but unfortunately that was overshadowed by the issues above. We are only using them because our home warranty company requires us to.

Horrible service. Few simple things to fix is taking more than a week and they have not even finished yet. going back and forth and promising me to come back the second day to finish and never hear from anyone. I have to always call and ask where is the service guy. It is taking over a week for a hose bib, shower divert. I would stay away from this company.

I have a home warranty and the company sent Cal Home Plumbing for the service. It was a drain blocked in the shower. With the right tools and service, it would have been a 15 minute job. The plumber was a young guy, came on time but was really unprofessional. He came to inspect the shower, and stated ""oh this is easy"" so he got a small ""snake"" machine, ran it from outside the shower unit. Said that this machine did not work, and then went to get a bigger machine. He stood outside the shower unit again, and did not want to get inside the shower unit.It appeared he did not want to get his clothes, hands and shoes wet. He proceed to state that the snake does not work, and this will require a high power water jet drain cleaner to unblock the drain. He took his payment of $60, provided an unclear and untimely report of the diagnosis to the home warranty company. With a family of 4, we did not shower for 4 days, only sponge bathing. What an inconvenience. However, it took 4 days to resolve the problem and the service was provided by another Plumbing company that the home warranty assigned. The other company, was professional, friendly and knew their stuff. quickly assessed the situation, and used the snake machine, and within 15 minutes completed the job. Do not use Cal Home Plumbing under any circumstances even if the home warranty recommends them.

This company was to come between 11-3 and I altered my whole schedule to wait for them. No call, nothing. Very unprofessional.

I manage several properties in San Mateo County and I had use Cal-Home Plumbing on several occasions and I always have good experience whenever they sent plumber to fix the issues. They sent Patrick Harrington and Ken Moore and they always resolved the plumbing issues on properties that I managed. Patrick is always on time and he calls me ahead of time before he drives to the property. I'm very happy with the service that I'm getting from the company.

I have a home warranty and the company sent Cal Home for my plumbing issues. I had experiences working with other plumbing companies/plumbers who have done less than satisfactory jobs so I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and professional work done by Patrick Harrington and Kenneth Moore. They took care of the many slow drain issues from sink, to shower and toilets, and importantly properly assessed, diagnosed and fixed several leaks I had coming from my second story master bathroom-leaking down to one of my downstairs/office bedrooms that was not being used. They did not take any short cuts and even evaluated their work to make sure everything was OK. I really appreciated how they wanted to make sure my home full of young kids was safe and that all my plumbing issues was taken care of properly! Patrick and Kenneth are true professionals!

I have called these people out twice before and my bathroom pipe is still dripping. I just bought this house, explained for plumber to call realtor an hour before so he can meet him. He called me instead at 8:05 to say be there in 15 minutes. I called my realtor and he dropped everything to meet him there, 8:45 still no plumber. Plumber finally came, claimed he fixed then left, came home and the problem still exist. I called them back and he came out and said its old pipes so it will drip for about 2 hours after use. Its 5 days later, still dripping, so guess not 2 hours....plus that is why I called a plumber....figure out how to not make it drip old or not....newsflash it may mean getting a new part!!!! About to call them now again!!

We had an issue getting hot water in the master bath shower. Patrick and Ken came over promptly on the promised time. They did an excellent job fixing the problem while taking care of not making the place messy. They also did a good job explaining what the issue was and what was required to fix it. Very nice guys and thorough professionals with a great attitude. If you ever want to get work done from Cal-Home Plumbing, ask for Patrick and Ken by name. You will be satisfied.

We had a busted motor on our garbage disposal, so the home warranty company sent Cal Home Plumbing out to fix it. They replaced the unit, and we were happy, at first.

But then we started noticing a bad smell and poor drainage every time we ran the dishwasher. An educated guess from the home warranty rep suggested the plug that connects the dishwasher to the disposal may not have been removed, and was causing the smell and pooling water. I called CHP to ask if someone could come by and fix the error, and she said they only warranty their service for 30 days. Since we were a couple weeks beyond that window, we would have to pay a $60 fee to have them come out to fix their own error. Absurd.

How could we have known that a problem with the disposal was causing a smell in our dishwasher? I asked her to please make an exception to the 30 day policy, and they flatly refused. Very poor customer service, especially since their poor workmanship caused a NEW problem for us. I'm guess its a quick fix, but I just don't know how to do it. Very disappointing.

I can't speak highly enough about patrick harrington and his apprentice vick lal. They are extremely professional and thorough. They have been to my house twice now for a variety of plumbling challenges including broken faucets, poor water pressure and sub pumps. You never feel like they are rushing through a job. They take their time, double check all their work and go the extra mile by explaining to you what caused the issue and how you can prevent it from happening in the future.
