My toilet backflowed black water into my bathtub and on my floor. I have a 1 bathroom home. My home Warranty Company dispatched Cal Home based out of Oakley. I melted down on the phone crying with dispatch. I have alot of bad things happening right now and I broke--I ugly cried... The dispatch operator was amazing, she contacted Joe and let me know he would be here within 30 mins. Joe arrived immediately. Upon arrival, he addressed the problem quickly. He was so professional and kind even when I ugly cried again....Joe offered kind calming words.
My problem was fixed ASAP and I am back to being able to use my toilet and washing machine.
DO NOT HESITATE to call this company and definitely ask for Joe!

Had a leak in one of the pipes in the wall for the water heater. We live in a town home so it was leaking into our neighbors unit. I got ahold of AHS and they set me up with Cal-Home Construction. I called and they were able to come within 4 hours to take care of this issue. Tony was great! He definitely knew what he was doing and wasted no time fixing the leak. He was able to cut only a small portion of our dry wall and repair the leak. He also ran the water to and waited to ensure there was no more leaks. Tony's professionalism and dependability is why I strongly recommend Cal-Home construction! Great work!

I was referred to Cal-Home Construction by American Home Shield after they gave me a horrible plumber. Tony came out and looked at the issue with my toilet, did a thorough evaluation, and recommended replacing it. He did an outstanding job - efficient, knowledgeable, and personable. He even recommended a less expensive place for me to purchase the replacement. I would definitely use them again, though I would not recommend American Home Shield. It took my realtor getting involved to get this better quality plumber than the one they originally gave me.

We scheduled a service through our home warranty (AHS); the scheduling with Cal Home was prompt and easy. They came out within 2 days. Joe was prompt within the given time window. Super easy to talk to. He and my husband had their ""sports talk"". The issue we had wasn't an issue at all, but he did identify our main problem... our faucet SUCKED! But he took care of that. Would definitely recommend them.

Tony was professional, honest, thoughtful, and meticulous about his work. Didn't cut any corners, did a clean honest job with every task, explained everything, and didn't up-sell. Without my prompting, he even put all the old parts in the box of their replacement parts so I could see when I got home what was changed. Wow! This man deserves a raise and a bonus, seriously

If I could I would give these guys a big fat ZERO stars! My Home Warranty AHS(another joke of a comapny) assigned these guys for a pipe leak in my upstairs bathroom that was leaking through my kitchen ceiling. After 3-4 attempts I was able to set up an appointment for a 12 to 4 time window. Day of appointment they came at around 630pm.
The guy makes a hole in my Kitchen ceiling and says that I have to make another appointment because he doesnt have the part and Ill have to call again to set up another appointment to have it fixed. I was told not to use the bathroom where the drain was coming from. To make this a little shorter story, in the course of 3 weeks I had attempted to call and make an appointment it went straight to voice-mail, left messages and did not recieve one call back. After a couple calls to the warranty company after some back and forth(another frustrating story) I was assured I was going to get a call from the plumbers in a couple of days because the part was ""coming"". The day came and went and no call.
So I called another company Rooter Hero Plumbing. They came the next day(today1-19-2021) and the part they needed was easily bought at home depot. An hour or so later the leak was fixed.
So be forwarned DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY and if you looking at home warranty do not get AHS(American Home Shield) warranty. Trying to talk to an associate is at least a 30min wait and I believe outsourced to some call center out of the US.

This is the worst company I ever worked with. If I could I would give them 0 stars. They said that there's a lot of water in our basement (there were, but the water drained by itself to the soil) and we need to drain it with a restoration company, before they start working on our leak. We stopped using water and when restoration company came, they said there's nothing to drain. They can only do some sanitization to prevent molt, which will cost $700 and it's not covered by home warranty. So they tried to force us using this restoration company. At the end the plumber from this company Joe told us do not use water for 3 days and after that he'll come and fix the leak. But he never showed up, however he promised and even asked us to by a shield for him, so he can lie not on the ground. I recommend all who reads this review to avoid this company! Our problem is still not resolved and no one even cares that we have at home 2 newborn babies. They just ignore us!!!
