One of their techs came by to check out a hissing pipe in my kitchen, turned out it was attached to my dishwasher. I was told they needed to order a nylon part and it would only take a few days... but here we are 2 weeks later and no response to multiple voicemails and I'm out $100 fee.

Used this service through our home warranty. The company had good communication from the scheduler to the service person. Tony arrived in a mask, diagnosed the problem quickly, and had our kitchen and island sinks up and running quickly. Tony was very professional and respectful. Overall, a great experience with Cal-Home Construction. Thanks Tony! We appreciate how quickly our main line clog was resolved.

Stay away from these clowns. They were sent by my home warranty company to check a simple leak from a kitchen drain pipe in my crawlspace.

Even with GPS, ""Tony"", could not find my house and I saw him pull into some other driveway down the street. Once he did arrive at my address, I showed him pictures of the damage that I took earlier that day and quickly put up excuse after excuse of how he couldn't perform the repair. He said that the kitchen drain water that had leaked was unhealthy and he couldn't even get near it. He claimed that I needed to bring in a restoration company to basically clean what amounted a 3'x3' section of food waste and mud before he could even touch the pipes. What a joker. What I didn't tell him is that I had already contacted two other local plumbing outfits and none cared about the food waste and provided me an estimate on the spot.

I don't know what BS he then fed my home warranty company afterwards, but my claim was denied because ""it is not responsible for providing access"" to the broken pipe. Uh, hello!? How did I take the pictures??!!

Anyways, one trip to Lowe's and one to Harbor Freight and I was able to perform the repair myself for less than the $75 I paid to get these clowns to show up to look at cell phone pictures on my driveway.

Our tub wasn't draining. I put in a request for service from AHS. They assigned Cal-Home Construction. They gave us a window of 1-5 PM but the plumber never showed. The guys calls me at 7 PM and leaves a vm that he's in the area and will be heading over to our house. I didn't answer nor did I give the go ahead to come over this late at night. He shows up randomly and knocks on my door (after 8 PM.) We need the tub fixed so we let the guy in to do his thing. He's not able to fix the problem and says he'll be back the next day. Next day, he now shows- again. No call, nothing. Super frustrating experience with CHC and also with AHS. Would def not recommend CHC- very unprofessional. AHS customer service is not much better. They make you jump through hoops to get a appointment rescheduled or to get a refund. Not happy with either company.

Poor customer service. Lack of response time and did not properly measure my current unit before removal. Upon bringing the new unit, this unit was too big. The whole experience was horrible. I had to work with another company to fix the problem this company started and never completed. DO NOT SELECT THIS PLACE!!!! Read these reviews they are honest.

Nice people, but the plumber was ill-equipped multiple times. He did not have standard pieces of pipe that anyone can pick up from a hardware store. The drain pipe was left disconnected without notifying me, and a small leak that was manageable became 100x worse overnight. I only noticed because I heard the water from upstairs dripping out of the pipe. Now we have water all over the frame and floor and we just finished restoration work. In hindsight, I should have avoided the home warranty I thought was protecting our property and paid for plumbing. You really do get what you pay for.

Referred to this firm via American Home Shield (A TERRIBLE COMPANY). This company is one of the single worst I've ever dealt with. They have dispatched their technicians to our home without equipment/parts and their management has blatantly lied to me. Stay far away from these guys!

Put in request with warranty company. Received a phone call the same day scheduling appointment for the following day. Joe showed up on time, not only fixed the problem but also pointed out another issue I had and fixed that as well. Very personable and truly enjoys his job.

Awful service. Required to use them under warranty with AHS and Cal Home never tried to book the appointment. They posted that they tried to contact me but never left a messages nor did their number come up as a missed call on any of our phones. After I had left multiple messages with no response I had AHS make my appointment with Cal Home Construction. I waited 5 hours on the day of their appointment and they were a NO show. No call or anything. They just waisted my day. Sad the AHS even associates with such a poorly managed company. Even worse is to think so many need and want to work and they won't even show up.
Read the other reviews and find another company to get your project done with. Cal Home Construction is AWFUL!!!

I wish I read all the review before.

I have some leaking faucet, since I have a coverage with AHS, I ordered their service through AHS. They did show up once, checked the faucet, and said they need to order some part. However 2 months later, I got no follow-up, and no updates. I tried to call them so many times, and left many messages, they simply just ignored me. I even complained to AHS, but apparently neither AHS nor this company cared about their customers, or can fix a leaking faucet. I still got no response.
So I was upset, I called AHS to cancel this request and send some other contractor, you know what, I have to pay Cal-Home to cancel the service they promised to do, but never did.
Stay away from this company, and stay away from AHS if you have to.
