I will say after my last review the last serviceman deeply apologized and he fixed everything and the other guy was fired. He was timely and efficient.

I am deeply disappointed with the service provided by Cactus Plumbing and Air. On April 18th, Junior visited our home to perform a water heater and AC tune-up. Unfortunately, I was not present, and my wife was left alone with our baby. Upon my return, I found water leaking from the water heater, causing significant damage. Junior claimed the unit needed immediate replacement, which surprised us as we had never experienced issues before.

We reluctantly agreed to the replacement, but the situation worsened when Nick arrived. He insisted on unnecessary replacements, doubling the initial estimate to an exorbitant $4,000. Despite expressing dissatisfaction, we felt coerced into paying with company in town, a new baby, and a water heater which was now leaking.

Moreover, we learned from Nick that Junior was not specialized in water heater replacements, revealing a lack of transparency and professionalism. The process left our laundry room in disarray with a hole in the drywall.

This ordeal has left us feeling exploited and deeply dissatisfied. I have now reached out to three different employees within the business in an attempt to get a better breakdown as to why we were charged what we were. I have yet to receive a response back from anyone. Stay far away from this business...

4/26/2023 Bobby and I miscommunicated on where the new Ruud Water Heater would end up.

1. He told me that it would cost me another $485 to move the WH to where I expected it to be.
2. He accused me of lying, and tried to get me to immediately sign the invoice on his phone, without showing me any part of the invoice. It turned out to be $1875, the max of his quoted range which started at $1675.
3. He started calling me a scammer. Repeatedly. WTF?
4. Started yelling at me to pay. I said no. He threatened to put a lien on my house. Accused me of never intending to pay.
5. Then he asked (yelled at) me to pay $1500. I said no, I'm not trying to rip you off. I'll pay $1875, just promise that someone will come back to move it.
No.
More yelling & threats to take the newly installed WH away. He's in a big rush to get to his next job, he's thirsty, etc, etc.
6. Finally, he said pay $1700, and I agreed. I just wanted the verbal abuse to end.
7. I was going into the house the get my checkbook, but didn't trust him to be in my garage by himself anymore. So I asked him to step outside. He would not leave, and put this on the invoice, ""Customer tried to lock me out and not pay"".
8. He also put these on the invoice.
""Customer refused to sign""
""A scam attempt""
""Do not service notice put out to all""
9. The last quote is the MAIN reason that I'm writing this review. I didn't want him to get in trouble and was planning to bite my tongue. But now it seems that I basically have no warranty (service) if anything goes wrong with the WH.

Why did I give a 2* rating instead of 1* ?
- So far, it Seems that his work was good. (I just noticed that the hot water has a chemical smell)
- I'll assume he was having a bad day.
- And my curiosity, questions, 'looking over his shoulder', and 'trying to help' annoyed TF out of him. Me being a bit on the spectrum, I'll take responsibility for that part. And I apologize.

4/27/2023 Update: Changed to 1* rating after I read a few reviews on Yelp from various locations in the valley. There appears to be a pattern of terrible service.
How TF is this company still in business?

PS - There's NO way that Cactus Plumbing And Air should have a 5* rating with 77 reviews!
Google Reviews appears to be compromised.
I NO LONGER TRUST Google Reviews ! :-(

ZERO STARS!!! RUDEST PLUMBER EVER!!
the rudest man showed up at our house today when i called about getting someone out to help us with a bust in our main water pipe. i had called about 20 different plumbers trying to see who could get out to us the quickest since we have water gushing out of the pipe in our back yard which was flooding our yard. i had called and actually spoke to a lady and she gave me an estimate of 6-8PM for services telling me the plumber is running behind. i said okay please go ahead and put my name down but i'm going to continue to call others to see if they can get to me faster so please have the plumber call me before he heads over so i can let him know if we still need him or not so we don't waste his time. the lady said okay i will thank you for that asked me for my phone number and collected all my info. so now its around 5 pm and this man in a cactus plumbing can shows up to our house and we are standing in the yard with the gate wide open in front of it, this man continues to sit in his van for 10 min sites not saying anything or getting out well another plumber i had called who showed up in 15 mins with a different company also showed up and actually came in our yard and talked to us and once this nice man goes out to grab the part we need and come back in NOW the guy in the cactus plumbing van gets out and wants to talk. he walks up to us in the RUDEST way. notices there is another plumber here and very rudely goes alright so it's a $25 service fee and stairs at us and then goes but i'll waive it this one time. then he tells me i'm wrong about what the lady told ME who I spoke to over the phone. and doesn't want to accept that i'm right so calls her right in front of my face. he then goes on to fight with me about what was talked about on MY phone call and goes don't call 20 plumbers at once it's rude and disrespectful we'll guess what buddy if you have water spewing out of a pipe in your back yard flooding it i'm sure you'd call around everywhere till you got an answer because out of those 20 places i called only 2 answered. i hope you found a better attitude after you finished your dinner JACK ASS!
