Usama K. Was awesome. I highly recommend C Williams Plumbing. They were responsive, great communications and got the job done quickly.

I needed help removing a stubborn toilet seat from a Toto Washlet (side note -- don't ever get these Toto toilets if you want to be able to replace the seat easily, the design is terrible). Usama responded quickly and was able to get the toilet seat off. Unfortunately, given the difficult design of the Toto, he was unable to install the replacement seat I had bought, so he only charged me the service fee, which was reasonable. Usama and his partner were very courteous and efficient, and left the bathroom as clean as they found it.

I highly recommend Usama from C Williams Plumbing. I had to get my 16 year old water heater replaced and up to code and Usama got back to me right away and gave me a very reasonable quote. He's based in Hayward, but had no problem coming to San Carlos for the job. He and his team member showed up with masks, worked efficiently, and finished the project neatly and professionally. I really appreciated how responsive and quick his communications were. And compared to other estimates and quotes we received, I felt that he was the most honest and straightforward - didn't try to ""sell"" anything extra or unnecessary. I'll definitely call him again in the future and will be recommending him to my friends and contacts.

Usama was great. Very friendly and helpful. Fixed our immediate problem (broken valve) no problem, and gave me ideas for longer term solutions. Will be my go-to service for all future plumbing needs.

Usama did a great job changing out my pipes for a new single handle faucet. He was on time, finished the job quickly and cleaned up well afterward. His price was fair. I will have him bid on future projects in my home.

oh man, today was a swell day to be retired (since 12 years ago and counting, back then at age 56 and onwards) --
with nothing to do asap on a late monday afternoon, except wait for the next day's A's game on TV --
(Q: ""what made today different from the last 60 days or umpteen years of doing nothing (after the proper daily diet / sleep / exercise / and never forget cable Ch32's and its endless full-dozen daily hours of sometimes-beyond-awesome 'kpop videos and tunes and guest-artist TV shows plus endless pre-c/y MV videos back from 2007 - 2019' that runs every day of the year. every day, 24/7!"")
well, i'll tell what. i've lived here on Smalley Ave (hayward, two blocks west of the BART track and one block up from A St) in this house (same one that's in the picture) for 24 years -- 24 years! -- (and owned it outright since november 2015) --
and never once had there ever been a drainage backup** out into the front flower-garden's ""front yard drain cleanout"" (gurgling up and out, and onto the garden walkway. (**coming from the one toilet, at the back of the house, in particular). (Q: ""say wot?"" poop and toilet paper, kids, poop and TP).
anyway -- a year ago i had put in umpteen hours into ""due diligence in advance,"" grinding (reading) through all of the Yelp reviews/comments for all FIFTY plumbers that're in the phone book / Yellow Pages (that service our tri-city area) --
and there were only TWO that were, hands-down, the best of the whole lot (for all services, from piping to etc, or over to the other categories) --

SO ANYWAY
about two hours ago,
Usama (who bought the business from Jeff when he retired, about a year ago) and his assistant showed up with their ""big machine"" that can attempt to unclog a ""main sewer line backup / clog,"" set it running (with me turning on the bathroom sink, shower, plus a toilet flush to set the water drainage moving towards them and the front cleanout), and in about the same time as a five-minute drum solo (or the weird famous one called ""Moby Dick"" on the second led zeppelin album that showed up around christmas time my freshman year at fayetteville AR, age 17) -- DONE.
plenty of other reviews in this business's review cue (here) cite or reference (in total) the full set of professional skills/experience that Usama brings to a repair job (back in the spring 1976 setting of the superfamous Dazed and Confused movie, they might say ""whoa, dude can fix anything."" or maybe that was asheton kutchenbergensteiner in Dude Where's My Car). so let me instead just run down a short-list of other A+ user-grade qualities:
Cheerfulness and Attitude: off the boards
User Friendly, Answers any Questions (from noobs or know nothings): also awesome
Several Other Categories falling in the same area as those two (60's retro doobie hesher hippies might call it, ""vibes, man. how are the vibes?""): again, awesome
double bonus: Usama's assistant had on a black ""City"" (golden state warriors blue-and-gold ""city logo"") cap. MADE. MY. DAY.
which was pretty great anyway. (from anyone who knows me, the standard generic question always runs like this) -- (Q: ""so how are you doing this year / last year / next year?"" A: ""some days are awesome, others are awesomer."")
=================
a footnote that is actually relevant:
whenever you have a drain ""clog"" or ""backup"" or ""other similar drainage problems,"" esp if it seems like a 24/7, get it looked at right now ---
NEVER EVER EVER (like the taylor swift type of never ever ever x repeat repeat)
call any of the ones that have those big ads in the phone book --
Roto-Rooter (the ""hayward"" area) or
Rescue Rooter, Rooter Hero, Star Rooter --
if you just scan through their Yelp reviews (the bad ones, and there's lots of them) --
it is a HORROR SHOW h o r r o r / s h o w
call C. Williams (above), and if they're booked up tight,
try the other one (named above) that has equal, voluminous 5-star user feedback
thank you and have a good day, and go A's!

Was looking to relocate washer and dryer to garage and add a mop sink..reached out to few plumbers..Usama was super responsive and quote was very reasonable for nature of work...very polite..Started and completed on time and also referred some other trades for our overall project .
Crew always wore mask in our interactions and maintains social distance ..very clean job everything was sealed ..also gave a great deal on a leak that was happening on the main joint and fixed promptly. I will always use him going forward for all plumbing services.

Usama and his partner did an amazing job installating a whole house water filter and softener system for me for half the price compared to any other plumber I got quotes from. During the installation they had to go to the stores for additional plumbing supplies and they didn't even charge me for the extra time and effort. They were super knowledge and professional and wore face masks the whole time which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend them to my friends!

So I tried the plumbers that took over Jeff's business and I would recommend Usama. He did a good job fixing what was messed up by someone else. I will use him again should I need a plumber.

It was the second day with clogged toilets and backed up showers, all three of them and with little ones in the home its the worst. Of course I was being loyal to a local handyman who always helped us but he just never showed up. With the virus going on and being without a job the least I wanted to do is go on yelp to find a plumber. With all the frustration and the kids crying I gave it a shot knowing the price was going to be extremely high. Called one company and was on hold forever only to tell me i was going to get a call back. Dialed the second number, answered on the first ring, told him the rundown and told him my experience with the issue since it happened often. He quoted me a reasonable price but with my income it was high so I explained my whole situation and he gave me a better deal. I swear i sat on my sink just talking to him like I knew him forever. So easy to talk to. And he never pressured me into going forward with his service he told me I could look around if I found something cheaper. Called him after 8pm and was able to come within the hour he estimated. He explained everything he was doing, made his suggestions and we chatted after he was done. Hey, he even talked to the baby, which is so nice because other people I've interacted with would be irritated with my screaming baby while trying to have a professional conversation. It so nice to see that there is people out there who understand this situation we are all living some worst than others. He was polite and did the job quick. He insisted in cleaning up but i told him I would take care of it. This shows how dedicated and focused he is to achieve a customers expectations. Usama, thank you. I trully appreciate you coming late at night to help a mother in need. I have never left a yelp review but he deserves to be recognized. Will definently reccomend to my family and friends.
