2021-02 We called on Monday and left a message about 3 small plumbing issues. We were called on Tuesday morning and Aaron told us he had an opening that afternoon or otherwise it would be at least a week. We discussed the issues with him and agreed to an afternoon time. He arrived at the scheduled time and both he and his assistant had on masks which we really appreciated. He replaced out leaking kitchen faucet, reset our master bathroom toilet, and installed a filter on our ice maker. We have used C&S or 15 years and they have always arrived on time, or given us a call to say they would be 15 or 30 minutes late. They have always cleaned up the work area. They purchased and replaced our hot water heater almost 9 years ago and it is still giving us plenty of hot water.

I *tried* to use C&S plumbing...I really did. But some attitudes, behaviors and comments just render a company not worthy of business, and unfortunately this was the case for C&S. I called on a Friday afternoon, and didn't expect an immediate appointment, but did leave a message and explained the problem and asked for a call-back. Monday afternoon, when I still hadn't gotten one, I called again and was treated rather rudely by the woman who answered the phone. Evidently, they see renters as a sub-class of humanity, because even though my out-of-state landlady said they'd done work for her before, they claimed not to have a record of it...and they don't deal with renters. Geez, seriously? I'm a cash-in-hand customer with a sewage spilling problem in my yard--obviously not a frivolous or cosmetic repair--and this woman doesn't want to deal with me?? Forget that she didn't call back if you want to...forget that she claimed not to have had my landlady for a client before...this was like a Jim Crow era attempt to sit at the lunch counter. She doesn't *deal* with renters. Wow. So I'm not unhappy that the company she represents won't be getting hundreds of dollars from me, I'm really not. I can't imagine paying someone like that for service.
