Boy do I wish there was an option to give zero stars - or at least half, because they did eventually get their job done. At least half the employees are incompetent with time management and finding the correct address, or they're outright liars. And the owner is possibly the least professional customer service representative I've ever dealt with - rude, defensive, and aggressive even though I kept a kind tone and offered to give her the benefit of the doubt multiple times during our half hour call. I called about an appointment that never happened and she insisted that her log book that says someone came to the house made it ""fact,"" and my telling her I was waiting by the door must be a lie because there's ""no way possible"" her people made a mistake. I told her how I respect her standing behind her employees, but she must be willing to give some concessions on the basis of innocent mistakes. She told me how her employees said they went to the house 3 times - including two visits during which I was in kitchen (right next to front door), hosting with 4 other people sitting there with me.
So I took my inquiry a step further, and I called her employee who spent the first few minutes of our call saying:
""Oh yeah, I didn't make it over there that day. ""
Then halfway through our call, (probably realizing what that meant), he suddenly switched to say they came ""5 or more"" times to our door that day.
I found it very interesting he switched his story 180, but just as interesting that even when he switched his story he said he did more visits than they had on record... Hmmm....
Even with that information, and my phone records which show all the call I made to her employees that day, she wouldn't admit any fault! But she still gave a 15% discount that she said was ""generous"" considering that ""none of this their fault."" Just disgustingly low levels of ethics, professionalism, and just general politeness. Unless I get an apology. I will Definitely suggest to our HOA that they use a different company for our entire complex from now on because the lack of ethics is appalling.

Friendly, quick and reasonable! Neat work and cleaned up without a trace of being under the sink.

I got a free home inspection with the installation of a my new garbage disposal. The emergency shuts off under my sink was in terrible condition. I had them replaced, the one under my sink was leaking and I didn't know it. Also, note that areas they worked on were cleaner than they have been since I moved in.

Called on Friday night at about 9pm, because that's when the bad things happen in our house. Left a message and got a call back in less than 10 min. Appointment set up for 11-1 the next day, Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Two guys came about 11:30 and they were done in about 30 min. Problem wasn't too bad I guess just snaking the drain. Reasonable price for the holiday weekend too, around $275. Rest of the weekend saved!

Vince came out...he made up a quote, 2 hours later... Done, every goofy plumbing issue was taken care of...two leaky hose bibs, two running toilets...clogged sink... Clean quick and fair! G

This company is unorganized and has terrible customer service. My HOA bills us $100 if we don't make an appointment by a certain date to have our drains cleaned. I called and made an appointment but, C&R Drains lost any record of it. And is now billing us $100 for their mistake. Even after I told the very rude receptionist that their company had a guy come out and snake our drain, and described the experience in detail. She wouldn't budge an inch. In my opinion, a good company that wants repeat business would believe the customer and wave the fee and not think twice about it. Not C&R Drains. Lastly, I could hear people arguing in the background while I was on the phone with the incompetent receptionist. I would not recommend using this company.

My landlord usually has a handyman come out and fix my kitchen drain when it backs up, but this time he had C & R Drains come out, and I am so grateful. The technician introduced himself, handed me his business card and got right to work....after he put booties on his shoes that is. He then laid a plastic tarp down on my kitchen floor to collect any mess. This is already far more than the usual handyman does. I was more than thrilled to have my drain cleared, but to wear booties, and lay down a tarp in my kitchen really was really great service. But then, he even cleaned my sinks before leaving, taking any last residue of that backed up plumbing smell with him. The were prompt in coming out to my home, cleared my drain, and cleaned up the mess too. I really hope my landlord hires them again next time!

We live in a condo in Irvine , our HOA use this company only. The plumber sent by the Home Owners Association from C & R Drains. Everything from his dress to his manners were unprofessional and his approach to analyzing the problem was suspect. He refused to listen to us about the source of the problem. Luckily, we were able to demonstrate that he missed the problem when he was testing his so called repairs. We agreed with our neighbor below to not use the shower, asked him to leave, and refused to pay the $250.00 he demanded for less than 1 hour job.
never use them !!
It doesn't deserve even one star !

I had an awful experience with this company. Unfortunately, they are contracted with my homeowner's association (lord knows why) and I have little choice on who I choose because they know how to shut off our boiler system.
To make it a short story, I was charged $260 for less than an hours actual work. I did sign the estimate but only after I was informed that the work was estimated to be a longer job. I was mortified. The owner, Kim, actually hung up on me when I complained about her business practice and threatened to put a lien on my property if I put a stop payment on my check. I am so sick and tired of these plumbing companies gauging consumers. I don't even pay my ATTORNEY that much an hour.
With that being said, however, the technician I dealt with very courteous and professional. He clearly had no say in the matter. He thought the job was going to take longer but he took care of it more quickly than he figured. Does that mean I should have had to pay for an extra hour of work with parts? Their policy stinks and I implore all of you to ""buyer beware"" before contacting them for work on your property.

My sink disposal broke and I didn't know how to find a good plumber since i don't live in this area full time. I called at 930pm and she said that they would call me back in morning between 8a-9am (which they did! one point). They were able to come out within 1 hr of our morning phone call (second point) and Juan (?) came with little booties to protect our floors (third point). He saw the problem with the disposal, gave me an estimate that guaranteed his work to be under 1 hr ($132/hr) which I really appreciated (fourth point). I cannot stand open ended laborers who work by the hour and can work as slow as they want on your dollar. He finished the job in about 30 minutes, took his booties and stuck them in his pocket (which I thought was thoughtful instead of using our trashcan) and disappeared into the distance. It was a great experience and I don't think I've ever had a great experience with a plumber. Highly recommend them!!!! And to top it off, they accept cash, checks, AND credit cards, even AMEX!!!!
