A bunch of crooks. They provide one quote but charge another. Plumber comes late to the job. Customer servicr is very aggressive and unfriendly. This will be my first and last time working with them

Very responsive and polite, although I am unsure if they even specialize in backflow repair as they quoted me over $1,000 to replace an entire unit when all I needed was a broken pin to be extracted and replaced. I called another backflow repair guy who got the job done for $68 including parts, labor, and certification.

I manage some apartments in Costa Mesa and have tried various plumbing companies thru the years. Last year i had some drains that were clogged and called C and R. They were fast to come out, friendly, reasonable and highly capable. On another occasion a more serious problem that involved a slab leak. The came out on a Sunday with in one hour. Due to there expertise they were able to take care of the leak without our tenant spending a night in a hotel. This plumbing company is the best i have ever dealt with. C and R will be our choice for all our plumbing needs. I forgot to mention another time at 11Pm we had a plumbing issue, They were out within in 30 minutes . C and R Plumbing are 24 hour hero's!!! I called C & R Drains in Costa Mesa to fix a blocked drain plumbing problem. I was impressed. They arrived on time and acted very professionally. The plumber located the blocked location and removed it cause in short order. He then checked to insure the problem was fixed, not once, but three times. Then he thoroughly cleaned the work area before he stated that problem was resolved. However, he was not finished. He proceeded to inspect each water valve in the house for rust or leakage.
I informed him that one toilet refilled very slowly. He inspected it, made a few minor adjustments and fixed the problem without having to replace and toilet running gear. Thus, saving me the replacement cost.

Honest and helpful. Available 24 hours!!! And they come pretty fast! It's pricey but when the whole house plumbing is stopped, it's worth it! We have called them twice for main line stoppage at 8 pm

I have been using C & R Drains for more than 15 years. During that time they have unblocked sinks, replaced faucets, snaked toilets, installed new water heater and fixed outside drains. They have always been responsive, easy to deal with and reasonably priced. My neighbors now use them too which tells me they must be doing something right!

It's not a call you want to make, cause a backup sucks, but if you need to make the call, call C&R. You'll get results!

Boy do I wish there was an option to give zero stars - or at least half, because they did eventually get their job done. At least half the employees are incompetent with time management and finding the correct address, or they're outright liars. And the owner is possibly the least professional customer service representative I've ever dealt with - rude, defensive, and aggressive even though I kept a kind tone and offered to give her the benefit of the doubt multiple times during our half hour call. I called about an appointment that never happened and she insisted that her log book that says someone came to the house made it ""fact,"" and my telling her I was waiting by the door must be a lie because there's ""no way possible"" her people made a mistake. I told her how I respect her standing behind her employees, but she must be willing to give some concessions on the basis of innocent mistakes. She told me how her employees said they went to the house 3 times - including two visits during which I was in kitchen (right next to front door), hosting with 4 other people sitting there with me.

So I took my inquiry a step further, and I called her employee who spent the first few minutes of our call saying:
""Oh yeah, I didn't make it over there that day. ""
Then halfway through our call, (probably realizing what that meant), he suddenly switched to say they came ""5 or more"" times to our door that day.

I found it very interesting he switched his story 180, but just as interesting that even when he switched his story he said he did more visits than they had on record... Hmmm....

Even with that information, and my phone records which show all the call I made to her employees that day, she wouldn't admit any fault! But she still gave a 15% discount that she said was ""generous"" considering that ""none of this their fault."" Just disgustingly low levels of ethics, professionalism, and just general politeness. Unless I get an apology. I will Definitely suggest to our HOA that they use a different company for our entire complex from now on because the lack of ethics is appalling.
