UPDATE: my first experience with C & R drains was great! However they have had to come out twice since my last review to fix the same issue. I will not be calling them out again.

Got referred by my appliance guy. Called and spoke to a pleasant service order tech. Quoted fees and explained their process. Same day response window of two hrs and the guy came right away. Handed me a card first thing and restated the fees etc. Worked to locate a ground level large clean out for the drain so I would not have to pay for him to go on the roof. Snaked drains and repaired a pipe for less than my former plumber would charge for one drain. A nice, honest, reasonable company. Recommended!

Wow. The plumber they sent couldn't find our place despite using GPS AND me giving directions so he spent a good half hour lost-he was right across the street. Did the plumbing work and left all sorts of stuff scattered around - had to gather up his stuff and chase him down to give him back his equipment. Then called a couple of days later to say HE LOST OUR CHECK. Did this company hire Mr. Magoo? So now, we have a personal check with our banking information floating around somewhere. No apologies from the company, just calls for a new check. I'm very angry. I won't be calling this place again.

A bunch of crooks. They provide one quote but charge another. Plumber comes late to the job. Customer servicr is very aggressive and unfriendly. This will be my first and last time working with them

Very responsive and polite, although I am unsure if they even specialize in backflow repair as they quoted me over $1,000 to replace an entire unit when all I needed was a broken pin to be extracted and replaced. I called another backflow repair guy who got the job done for $68 including parts, labor, and certification.

I manage some apartments in Costa Mesa and have tried various plumbing companies thru the years. Last year i had some drains that were clogged and called C and R. They were fast to come out, friendly, reasonable and highly capable. On another occasion a more serious problem that involved a slab leak. The came out on a Sunday with in one hour. Due to there expertise they were able to take care of the leak without our tenant spending a night in a hotel. This plumbing company is the best i have ever dealt with. C and R will be our choice for all our plumbing needs. I forgot to mention another time at 11Pm we had a plumbing issue, They were out within in 30 minutes . C and R Plumbing are 24 hour hero's!!! I called C & R Drains in Costa Mesa to fix a blocked drain plumbing problem. I was impressed. They arrived on time and acted very professionally. The plumber located the blocked location and removed it cause in short order. He then checked to insure the problem was fixed, not once, but three times. Then he thoroughly cleaned the work area before he stated that problem was resolved. However, he was not finished. He proceeded to inspect each water valve in the house for rust or leakage.
I informed him that one toilet refilled very slowly. He inspected it, made a few minor adjustments and fixed the problem without having to replace and toilet running gear. Thus, saving me the replacement cost.

Honest and helpful. Available 24 hours!!! And they come pretty fast! It's pricey but when the whole house plumbing is stopped, it's worth it! We have called them twice for main line stoppage at 8 pm

I have been using C & R Drains for more than 15 years. During that time they have unblocked sinks, replaced faucets, snaked toilets, installed new water heater and fixed outside drains. They have always been responsive, easy to deal with and reasonably priced. My neighbors now use them too which tells me they must be doing something right!
