I can attest to C & H being the best Plumbing and Boiler Repair company in DeKalb County. I called another company and had the unfortunate experience of them misdiagnosing the problem. Called C & H one day and got scheduled for service within three days. The professionals cleaned and serviced my heating system and then explained to me, in detail what the problem was. They engineered a way to take care of the old boiler, and did it in short order. Their fee was exceptionally reasonable given their skill level and ""stick-to-it"" attitude. If you have an old boiler that needs repair, do yourself a favor and call C & H. p.s. I have a phone with a Tennessee area code, that is why it says Nashville for my location-but C&H fixed my boiler located at my house in Sycamore.

I used these guys again to replace a couple of outdoor spigots and replace a kitchen faucet. The plumber was efficient, no-nonsense, and did a nice job for a reasonable price. I was again very satisfied.

C & H are the best plumbers and just a wonderful company! My two kitchen drains were really bad and needed to be replaced ( I have had buckets under the sinks for the last few years) , my toilet had been jury rigged by my landlord 2 years ago but never really fixed, and my shower faucet was dripping . I contacted my landlord who was out of town and he said to call a plumber. Knowing how good C & H were when they replaced the furnace and the sump pump at my building - I called them. The receptionist was very kind and friendly when I made the appointment. The gentleman that came out arrived exactly on time, and did all the repairs within an hour! He was clean, polite, worked non-stop and showed me what he did and was wonderful at fixing/replacing everything that needed to be fixed. I would recommend them to everyone. They are the best! I live in Genoa now and so i was so happy to be able to use such a great company

I don't like to write a review after only one interaction, so I was glad to have this second visit from C/H be just as good as the first. The first issue was some very twisty plumbing under our kitchen sink. They came out in a couple days (it was not an emergency) and simplified everything, plus gave us some helpful suggestions. Very efficient trip, and very fair price.

This week, I called on Tuesday, and got an appointment for Thursday over my lunch break to have them look at our outside spigot. Water would shoot out of the handle when you twisted it, and the screw holding on the handle was corroded. I didn't want to take a chance and have to turn off water to the house, so I had a professional look at it. Complicating factor - the spigot goes into the house 10 inches, then makes a hard right turn, and all of this is somewhat hidden behind floor joists. Even if I could get to it, I don't know how to sweat copper pipes. The inspection turned into a replacement, and without cutting any beams, he was done before my lunch hour was over. Very impressive efficiency. Nice guy, too.

In the past 14 months, CH Plumbing made repairs at my home 4 times, which I thought made me a good customer. Apparently, being a ""good"" customer is of no value to CH Plumbing. Two nights ago when I had an emergency because my sump pump failed and I had standing water and more of it backing up into my basement, I phoned CH Plumbing for help. I didn't get a call back for a WHOPPING 90 minutes. By then, of course, I'd gotten hold of another plumber who was almost done cleaning up the mess. My guess is that was CH Plumbing's plan all along: Delay returning emergency calls long enough so the client gets another plumber to take care of the problem. That way, they can sit on the butt and not have to do anything. For this reason, I DO NOT RECOMMEND CH Plumbing, who only provides service when it's convenient for them, i.e., 9-5 Monday-Friday. They don't care if you lose your furnace, washer, dryer, etc. as a result of water in your basement. If I could give them less than a one star rating, I WOULD.

I think we've found our plumber!
We called C & H Plumbing to install a new kitchen faucet. The woman who answered the phone was very friendly and knowledgeable. She even suggested which store at which to buy our faucet, and which brands to look for.The plumber who arrived was professional, personable, and respectful of our home and our kids.
He was efficient and explained what he was doing and why. When he finished, he asked if there were any other things we wanted him to do. I told him about a different issue that we had already had Ben Franklin come to look at, and had decided not to do it because it was such a big job, and would cost us $500. He took a quick look and gave an estimate that was much more doable. He also said it would save us money to have him do the job right then, since C&H has a one hour minimum labor charge, and he'd only been there a half hour at that time. He finished the job in less than an hour, and the cost was much lower than what Ben Franklin had told us: about $100.
He completed the job expertly and quickly, and we're very happy with his work.
