I am writing this review because I hope to prevent another new homeowner from making the same mistake we did. My husband and I needed a faucet fixture to be changed in our upstairs bathroom. Keep in mind, we had already purchased the fixture from Home Depot prior to installation. We hired Chaim Cohen Plumbing after looking on google for plumbers in the area. Two men arrived and incidentally found that we had a ""rotten trap"" which needed to be replaced. I approved of this repair and the whole job took two plumbers 2.5 hours to complete.The next day we received a bill in the mail for $532.58. I did not expect such a minor job to require two plumbers and cost over $500. To inquire about the charges, I called the company and the secretary put Mr. Cohen, the owner, on the phone. I felt like he behaved extremely unprofessionally. Prior to making him aware that I was hanging up the phone due to the increasingly bizarre tone of the conversation, arguing and interruptions, he called me an ""aggressive woman"". Not much later I looked in my inbox to find that I had received a very long email from him. This email also stated that if I wrote a poor review he would consider legal action. My husband and I mailed out payment for our bill and I am not responding to any further correspondence from this man. Please do not make the same mistake we did by using this company.

CHAIM was having a bad day, because he came over and was very overbearing, smug, and rude. Yes, he did the work but I will not be recommending or using him again. High prices, bad attitude

These guys are great, We had a new heating system installed last week. The cost was thousands of dollars less than an estimate we had gotten from Robison Oil. They were prompt, responsive, and neat, and the system is working flawlessly and will save us money forever on our heating bills, along with increasing the resale value of our home. We have used Mr. Cohen and his staff for all our plumbing needs for the past few years and have always found them highly competent, easy to deal with, and responsive. A terrific, professional operation, highly recommended.

Irresponsible, horribly, unprofessional and totally a rip off.
i payed over 30000 for a job that at the end had to hire another plumber to refile
and finish the job.
there was never a money dispute, i payed Mr Cohen all the money that he requested.
he removed his name from the permits 5 years after the job was completed.

Not sure if he was having a bad day or what, but owner who came over was a bit overbearing and rude. Yes, he did the work but I will not be recommending or using him again. And yes, he did charge more than usual.

I changed one toilet, they charged the material fee over $300 and labor over $400. The toilet was installed far from the back of the wall. I believe the charge is just unthinkable.
