After going through several unprofessional and unreliable plumbers, it was a welcoming and refreshing experience to find BZ Dependable. I had water damage in my basement and needed to replace rusted water and gas values. After giving me a free estimate and thoughtful options, Brian and his team promptly arrived to address the problem to my utmost satisfaction. They were all extremely professional, paid very close attention to detail and efficient without compromising on quality. I was totally satisfied and pleased with the final results that the following week, I called them back to reposition my washer and dryer to the utility room. When you have trouble with your oil service boiler and there is nothing to do to fix it in the cold snap of winter with no heat for over a week it is very scary to find someone to help without taking advantage of the situation. Bryan from BZ Dependable and his team were punctual from the time of the estimate to the installation. Every point he went over was addressed and taken cared of. I was very impressed with the professionalism and the way they kept communication through their smart phone app and emails instantly letting you know when they were arriving and when the service call was completed they would immediately send all service details and pricing. I am very happy and warm with my new boiler and the service we received.

Professional, prompt, efficient & courteous service is what you'll get when you contact BZ Dependable Plumbing & Heating! Over the past few years, BZ Dependable provided a Heat Start-up service for our natural gas steam boiler, including instruction on how to maintain it throughout the heating season, that effectively extended the life of our aging system. This year however, we found it had begun to leak water and upon further inspection, discovered our boiler had ""rusted out"" and needed to be replaced. Within less than a 48 hour turn around, they returned a day later at 9 AM to install a steam boiler and offered a great discount on a natural gas water heater, also long overdue for replacement, that we could not pass up!. Brian & his team, yes a team, while taking all precautions to advert the possibility of our family Maine Coon accidentally escaping the premises, completed the job within the day, again leaving time for instruction on maintaining our new system, and were gone by 4 PM, taking all ""garbage"" with them, leaving a spotless work area behind. We're very satisfied with the quality of their work and highly recommend BZ Dependable for your plumbing needs. The name certainly does speak for itself!

The good: very responsive and courteous. Called about a faucet leak and was able to get someone to come the next morning. Arrived on time and guy was very courteous and professional. Fixed the problem quickly and was very polite throughout.

The bad: very very expensive. Quoted $400 to fix a relatively simple problem. But what made it worse was he kept trying to sell me on the need to replace the hot water heater and furnace. Granted they are not new but they are working fine. Don't like service guys that act like sales guy.

We are residents of Ridgewood for almost 30 years - Bryan and his staff (plumbers and office) are by far the best contractors we have ever had in our home. They do excellent plumbing work, are prompt, clean and their pricing is very fair. They have done all sorts of work in my home both big and small jobs - from replacing a water line to fixing a running toilet and we couldn't be more satisfied. We highly recommend them.

Great quick service! I had an issue with my kitchen sink not draining. Called several companies in the area, but BZ Dependable was able to send someone right away to fix the problem! Vartan was our plumber and he did a great job! We will use them again for any other issues.

SCAM ARTISTS - STAY AWAY!!!!
I had a flood in my basement trap. When they cleaned it out - they used a 1 inch snake to clear the roots. the pipes were 4 inches. the flooding sewage came back. they told me I need to replace all of my pipes to street bc there must be a crack and showed me sitting water with a camera - a $10,000 job NOT COVERED by insurance!!! thank god I got a second opinion. This was all a scam- the reason the water came back was because they didn't use the appropriate size snake!! They should have used a 4inch snake. Thanks for ruining my finished basement and leaving toxic sewage and causing mold damage to my basement you rip off scam artists!!!!!!!!

I would give this experience 0 stars if I could, but Yelp won't let me. I don't normally write reviews, but these guys were so infuriating, I had to say something so others don't get pulled into this expensive situation! BZ Dependable is so awfully overpriced, it's almost silly. Firstly, they charge a fee just to come by and give the quote. I forget, but I believe it was $70. That should have been a red flag, already!
We had a couple of small things that we wanted to get fixed - our major thing was that our radiator valve was broken and sputtered when we turned the heat on. We called these guys in, thinking we'll save some time and get a professional to fix these. The first thing they did was stick their BZ Dependable stickers all over our plumbing appliances - things that they never installed. Weird, no?
They quoted us $1300, and were rather snippy and untruthful when I asked what the materials and labor breakdown was! What the heck?
So I sent them off and my husband - who has never done any plumbing work - decided he will do it himself. He got the materials at Home Depot ($24) and watched a 3 minute Youtube video on how to fix it (here's the video for those interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0VQOZqiw7U) and then he fixed it. It took him less than 20 minutes.

So, um. Yeah. These guys just charge whatever they want, and they make stuff up. They're truly unreasonable, and we still had to pay them that $75 fee just to get this treatment.

Don't trust them.
