I live in a 6yr old house. These guys came to deliver and install a water heater. After arrival, they told me that the can't replace my old water heater because they have to walk through a bathroom. On top of that, one of the guys had dirty shoes and stained up my carpet. Called GA Natural Gas and they told me that what they told me was not a thing. Should have been no issues. Do not use this business!!!

Bynum plumbing was contracted in preparation for flooring installation by Home Depot. They were to disconnect & reinstall my half bath toilet and pedestal sink. The technicians who came to complete the reconnect were as my mother stated """"clueless"""", and for whatever reason REPLACED the water supply line to my toilet. Shortly afterwards the toilet started draining slowly and bubbling. In addition, the extremely long water supply line made it difficult to reinstall my over the toilet storage rack. NEVER, did Bynum return to fix the problem they'd created. At first I was told, they don't """"warranty old systems""""... I'm not sure what the age of the system has to do with Bynum's incompetent tech installing a different (much longer) supply line. Nonetheless after tiring of going back and forth and then finally being told that they wouldn't come back until six days later, I called my father to fix Bynum's mess. Luckily, my father, not a plumber by trade, was able to fix the problem. My experience, this company's employees are Incompetent and Dishonest! READ THE REVIEWS!!!

I am a 100% disabled veteran on a fixed income and shop with Home Depot often. I normally trust them to do good business with customers. But this time was very different. I am completely shocked honestly and saddened. I wanted and needed to purchase a new water heater, so I shopped on the Home Depot website. After I saw a water heater I wanted, there was an option to have Home Depot Home Services install it for me. I selected that option and was notified that I would be contacted to set up an appointment for installation. I was then contacted by a local plumber (Bynum & Sons Atlanta GA area) about the water heater install through the Home Depot network. Once agreeing upon the water heater and particular price for install, we set up the appointment. LONG STORY SHORT, I was charged almost $600 MORE IN MARK-UPS on top of the price originally agreed upon when the install crew arrived. I was charged crazy prices ($95) for very inexpensive things like a new aluminum drip pan for example etc. Where was I supposed to get this additional money on a fixed income?? And I could tell it was their system to do things like that, using the Home Depot network to prey upon customers. Definitely not the first time that particular plumbing company has done that i'm sure. Just coming up with ANY REASONS to charge customers to make additional money. I honestly feel HUSTLED, PRICE GOUGED, & TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. I called Home Depot to speak with them about my experience, and they told me THEY COULD DO NOTHING ABOUT IT which made it all the worse for me. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!

Despite some bad older reviews, I found them to be very professional. They were on time. The price quoted was what the charged. They even gave me a $25 discount. They hauled the old water heater off at no extra cost and cleaned up the work site. All that's left is the inspection in a month. They changed nothing since the last inspection, plumbing wise, so I do not anticipate any problems.

I wish I had of looked them up before calling them. They came out two days ago because I was having problems with the toilet flushing. They said it was my septic tank so they pumped it out and said it was ok to use. Today we have sewage coming up in the tub which smells really bad. I called them. They said call a plumber after they charge me over $600 to fix this problem. They said that's new problem we caused... it's only two of us here right now... they said they would have to charge me again to fixed it. So now I have a legal problem.

Plumbing work Average, but they are outstanding at price gouging and padding the invoice. Charged me $450 for a pressure regulator valve (one was already on the line) the plumber told me that Home Depot charges them $450 for this valve. Apollo pressure regulator valve listed at $55.04 on Home Depot web site. I have photos that it is the same part number. The Plumber outright lied. I Was Charged $2413 to install a $559 water heater. They added a fee of $50 for a permit, (none required or ever seen), $45 for Admin. Fee. The plumbers left trash, the old pressure tank which weighs about 50 pounds, A nice rust stain that runs about 20 feet down the middle of my driveway where they drained the old tank. Called Bynum & Sons the next day to get explanation, Lady who answered the phone listened for a minute then said """"Too Bad you signed for it"""" and hung up on me. Complaint sent to Home Depot about 818% markup by their designated plumber, asked for price adjustment since the credit card bill went to Home Depot. It was DENIED !. Is Home Depot complicit with Bynum & Sons in price gouging customers? Not a lot of integrity shown between the two of them. Letter sent to Georgia Dept. of Law Consumer Protection Division. One of their criteria for filing a complaint is repeatable evidence of consumer fraud. Looked at other reviews mentioning similar pricing issues, it fits.

So I set an appointment two weeks in advance through home depot. They were to come at 1-4, but I received a text at 8 the morning of saying the appointment was at 9-12. They refused to change the time to the original appointment. They also hung up on me when I asked why the time changed. I rushed home to be insulted by worker, who refused to install the toilet or to even wait for me to make a phone call to home depot to fix the situation.

I wish I would have read all of these comments before going to Home Depot. The home Depot associate told me a new water heater and install would run about $1k. When Bynum called they quoted $1368. I figured it was ok since it included the haul away. When tech arrived he found that we needed an additional part that would cost $350. When it was time to pay the total cost was almost $1900. Almost double what the Home Depot associate told me was the ball park. I will never work with Bynum or Home Depot again. The water heater price was about $600 so they take away $1300 for installation which is whaT Lowe's quoted for everything. Oh and beware if you have stairs they charge $125 to carry the water heater up the stairs.

I'm a little surprised at the reviews on here, but then again since they seem to be mostly related to home depot contracted services I'm not. I contacted Bynum directly on NYE to schedule a septic pump out. They offered me a morning or afternoon option. I was told what the cost would be up front for a basic pump out and dig out to get to my tank lid. Derek and Zach showed up within the time scheduled. They were friendly and informative along the way. They discovered some other issues with my system but since it's from the 80's I wasn't at all surprised that I might have more that needed to be done. Their prices are reasonable compared to their chain competitors. I appreciate that they are local and family owned and will be using them going forward.

This company is the absolute worst!! Customer service is the worst. First of all, there is a lack of communication between the disconnect guy and the connect guy. When the first guy came I explained to him that there was a clog in the kitchen sink and he stated it could be addressed during the connect, however the connect guy explained to meet that there was a clog and I was thinking.. yeah I was expecting you to help. He told me that the clog was in the wall and he did not have the tools for that and I would need to call another department within his company. When the connect guy left he charged 150.00 and did not provide a receipt with my neighbor. What business charges kind of money and do not provide evidence. I called the company the next morning to request a receipt and was told I would receive one from a young lady and I have yet to receive one. The connect guy also left a bucket (that does not belong) to me full of water in the middle of the floor when he left. he made such a mess as if he just tore everything out of the box, placed it in and left. I truly regret having to give my hard earned money to this company, however I trusted home depot to be aware of shoddy companies. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! #veryunhappy
