I had a large kitchen sink emergency on a Saturday evening in late July. Our plumber recently retired and did not respond to my desperate requests. My 4 year old granddaughter was a day away from a week's stay while her parents vacationed. I telephoned the after-hours numbers of every plumber whose trucks I'd ever seen in my neighborhood. The only one to return the call and follow up was Burnside!!!

I don't have a regular plumber as I have never needed one, had a pipe with a leak in the basement so wanted to use a local plumber so I called Burnside & asked if someone could come out as it was an emergency. I was asked if I was a regular customer & I said no, the woman on the phone said then No they could not come out today.

I have been using Burnside Plumbing and heating for many years now and have been extremely happy with their work.

I have tried many other plumbing contractors in the area and while they did get the job done, none of them have been as detailed as Burnside.

One thing I like about Burnside is that they are forward thinkers. When Burnside installs a heating and ac system, they make sure all components can be easily accessed which reduces overall maintenance costs to the customer when parts need to be replaced.


Burnside is always looking out for their customers. I wouldn't go any where else.

Hands down the most attentive, knowledgeable Plumbing and HVAC repair around. They work tirelessly to find and solve the problem, for example our AC fan this summer. It wasn't an obvious fix, so they had to dig deep, but found the issue and got us back to comfort.

Andy responded quickly and went above and beyond to make sure we had heat and hot water working before he left. Especially having a newborn baby at home in the winter it was extremely concerning. We can't thank Andy and Melissa enough for responding to our emergency call! We weren't customers but found ourselves in a bind at 9:30 the night before a nor'easter due to a burst pipe on our heating system. We tried several local plumbers hoping that being close, someone could come out since we had no heat or hot water with the pipe leak. While Burnside didn't get the message until the next morning due to a phone glitch, Melissa called at 7:00 am when she got into the office to follow up. Now it's the morning of a huge snowstorm that had shut down pretty much every other local business. But Andy called to assess the situation and came right on out and got us totally fixed up. He was so nice and helpful and actually made some much needed improvements to our system, not just the repair. Again, all this during a terrible snowstorm! We'll be making Burnside our go-to plumbing experts from now on!

Our hot water heater went and we called Burnside not only did they call us right back they came the next morning and replaced it with a new one! 3 weeks later the thermostat went it was defected not of there fault at all but we called them again and they came right out and fixed the problem right away and told us to have our circuit break checked just in case so we call an electrician and they were correct! Not only are they reliable and dependable but also very knowledgable... I would recommend to all who seek a great plumbing company!!

Andrew Burnside was wonderfully responsive in repairing a leaking waste line in our home in Mystic. He identified the problem, made the repair, and left the area clean as if he'd never been there. And he did this while we were traveling and relying on a neighbor to let him in the house. Very professional, and reassuring to work with in making this happen over the phone.
