The biggest disappointment was calling Burkell in the first place it took them three different parts and two weeks to fix the problem it ran for 40 minutes and won't come back on do not use this company they can't fix anything

No stars. Their service has seriously deteriorated. They left us without help on a cooling issue during last year's heat wave, which was after doing preventative heating service and leaving a unit not working, shame on me for using them again. No apologies or follow-up.

Plumbing used to be better than HVAC but this week they just want to take the most expensive possible route without good diagnostics.

I've used them for years but never again for anything. They've never been the cheapest so definitely avoid.

We recently had a shower with a bad leak, and initially chose a local Mill Valley plumbing service (which will remain nameless) based on the very high reviews on Yelp. Boy, was that a mistake! The man who came out brought a condescending attitude, couldn't figure out how to remove the shower handle faceplate, and he said he'd have to knock a hole in the wall to get at the shower cutoff valves, if there even was cutoff valves. Alternatively, he offered to cut and cap the shower water lines in the basement for $250, leaving us with a non-functional shower -- but at least the leak would be fixed (eyeball roll). Lastly, he estimated a $3000, all-day repair job to replace the shower fixtures, which is daylight robbery. For that kind of money, we should get a remodeled bathroom!

So we called out Burkell Plumbing instead, on a neighbor's recommendation. What a difference! Jeff from Burkell came out that same morning. He arrived early and got straight to it, popped the faceplate off, diagnosed the problem and had the leak fixed and the shower fully operational in a little over an hour! Total cost $285, less than a tenth of what that MV-based company wanted.

Henceforth, we will call Burkell Plumbing every time. Jeff, thanks very much for your honest and competent work!

I now always use Burkell for plumbing. I've never found anyone better. Chris has come out, analyzed the various projects, and constantly figured out the best and most reasonably priced solutions. He's terrific. Rolf has been out several times for various jobs and is always 100% professional, careful, meticulous, efficient and helpful. I have tried other plumbers, but after quite a few experiences with Burkell, I can't imagine now that I will go to anyone other than Burkell.

More than ever, excellence must be acknowledged. For years, my family has relieved upon Burkell Plumbing to repair our 105 year-old house's leaks and stoppages. And again today, mopping up from a broken faucet, we called upon Burkell.

Within minutes Cody arrived, and not long after the leak was stopped and a new faucet in place. As with other Burkell repairmen we have come to know, Cody was prompt, polite and professional. His fee was fair and he was more than kind in pointing out ways we can continue to reduce our water use.

I rarely write reviews and most of the time when I do, it is always to support small businesses. I am appalled by how unprofessional burkell's front desk person is. They sent an invoice randomly about 3 months after they came out to do an estimate on our heating system printed on a pink paper with past due on it. We never received an invoice or a note saying they charge for estimates. We went with their competitor and I am so happy we did. When I called to clear up the issue and inquire about what it was for, she literally yelled back ""well that's fine if you don't pay it, but lose our number bc we will never do work for you ever again"" and literally hung up the phone. Mind you, my only question was, ""I don't understand what this invoice is for because you didn't do any work for us, can you clarify?"" I'm not sure if the person was just having a really bad day and needed to throw a tantrum, but Burkell's management should take a look at how they handle customer service. This review is only for their front desk and billing dept. I called back to speak to management and she picked up and hung up on me. I am completely appalled by how they treat their customers. It is surprising bc when their technician came out, he was very nice and professional. Save yourself some heartache and go with Peter Levi, his staff is extremely on point and as the owner he'll go out of his way to make sure everything is done right.

Had a drippy bathroom sink faucet and sink lever handles that were off. Jeff analyzed the problem swiftly; new parts were ordered. Once they were in, repairs were made. I now have 2 bathroom sinks that function like they are new.
