Said they'd come in afternoon and call before arriving. They showed up at 745 AM, with no call. I wasn't home. Called them twice before I got a return call. That tech did not have my job on his list, he didn't know anything about it. He said he'd call his boss, who never did call. No one came to my house in the afternoon as they said they would. Totally and completely unprofessional. End result, we haven't had AC during two of the hottest day's of the year.

Jim called me right away after I put my info into Home Advisor. He then arrive to my house at least 45 mins later (impressed). On what is going to be a very hot weekend I was panicking that I may not have cool air. He found the problem quickly and fixed it! Now I can breathe easily. I would definitely use again if needed! Thank you.

Very professional service, same day for me because I just had to hook up town water to outside line. Good value and friendly staff would recommend to my friends.

4am on one of the coldest mornings this year, our furnace refused to start. First company we had out gave us a song & dance about how our furnace was in SUCH bad shape, with a ""dangerous crack"" and they refused to repair it, but tried to sell us a $13k+ replacement system. We threw him out.
Then Jim from Burke came in. He calmly took a look, replaced 2 parts, and got our heat working again! He also pointed out all the ways in which that first company tried to 'take' us, gave us some tips about maintenance and safety checks, AND also talked to us about Burke's other services. He's even going to arrange to have a quote for future replacement sent to us.
Burke just went to the top of my call-list.

Terrible....DO NOT USE.

Furnace died...Burke came by...two days later died again...Burke came by. Both visits I was told accurately that my furnace needed cleaning, but AGAIN the furnace died. The third time came by and it died two hours after he left. Was banged out 325 and 165 for two visits. I'd actually be okay with that if they ACTUALLY fixed my furnace.... Called Niccolli Bros out of Brockton. They came, told me what I wanted to hear, started my furnace, said it needed to be cleaned but it won't die again. It didn't. Niccolli did in 1 visit what Burke could not do in three. DO NOT USE BURKE. I have a cleaning scheduled but it never died again. This is the first time I've ever written a review of anything but it's been bothering me for months and this was garbage. good company versus putrid company. Go with Niccoli

Having a pellet stove I have not been using my furnace except for ,hot water but with the oil prices dropping getting less expensive using the furnance . Well seems the hot felt hotter than what my thermostat was set at . I replaced my living area thermostat but didn't seem to do much good. Last weekend my son went upstairs to the bedrooms that's are zoned separately and on a separate thermostat we set this one always at 40 degrees ( we have antifreeze in our pipes ). It was 80 up there. So we needed someone smarter than changing a thermostat . Called home advisor and was given the name of Burke heating out of Raynard ma I was quote about $79 diagnostic fee which if I did the work with them I would not be charged. I was impressed a little after 6 am got an email saying service guy was on the way . When he got there and looked at my furnace he often mentioned how it wasn't installed properly . I believe he said it wasn't zoned correct there were 2 pipes coming out of system and 3 going in . He said it made no sense he actually took a picture of 2 valve type things on top of the pipe and said those could be stuck. Eventually he said the thermostat I installed I had messed up and probably blew out the thermostat upstairs and he should replace the 2 thermostats. I asked how much. And he said about $30 each but he had to run to Attleboro to pick up. Once he got back and installed I was uneasy because the pipes were still very hot . He said it would take a couple of hours for pipes not to be hot. He said if that didn't work they would have to drain the system and change those valves on the pipes in cellar I asked how much he said probably about $70 for the valves but draining system could be expensive . Then he went to the truck and came back with a bill for $543.00. 2 thermo's at $232 each and the $79 diagnostic at this point I felt screwed but uncertain what to do I guess they use flat rates ( for a $30 quoted thermostat. ). So I called around and no one will just run down I called Burke and the office was surpose to call me back I complained about the bill and the diagnostic fee when to mentioned he said $30 for the thermostat she said he should not of said that . To make the story a little shorty a wonderful service man (John R Bileau ) Woon ri on the way to a job quickly stopped in as soon as he went into the cellar said someone left the valves open and turned the handles on top of those valves the other guy said were probably stuck and he told me I was all set . To be fair Burke had nothing to do with opening those valves , I had the antifreeze in my pipes changed this summer and that company no longer does service but I DID NOT NEED THOSE THERMOSTATS AND IT DID NOTHING FORBMY PROBLEM . I had to beg for a discount tahat in not even sure they actually mailed yet but they hurried to bring my check to Bank of America last wend to be sure I didn't stop payment on it. Still one week later have not received the check I was promised , I can actually be patient at times but I don't trust them . Home advisers have now called them 2 times we shall see still no check on wend 1 week later but home advisor call Burke and Kim the office girl cAlled me and said check was mailed on Friday if I don't get them by Friday she will put a stop payment and issue a ew one . She seems nice enough but I would never recommend that company to anyone . Definantly a waste of money . Service guy was no smarter than me . Jan 21 received refund check for $232 . Seems like not much else I can do except to pass this along. I still spent $232 on another thermostat I didn't need and paid $79 for a diagnostic fee that I was told I would not pay should I have them do the work . Truly a company to avoid

My Grandmother lives in Raynham, Mass. We live very far away, We contacted Burke Plumbing & heating for her. This company was so amazing to her! I'm not sure of the name of the technician but he came back the next day to check if the heating system was still working correct. In this day an age no one does that! If I could give 10 stars I would!!!!

We were having problems with our 2 year old furnace shutting off at random times. If we shut power off to the furnace and turn it back on, it would work again but would shut off again a few days later. We hired Burke Plumbing to come and check out the problem. James (the owner) came promptly and looked at the furnace. He said that he just needed to clean one of the lines. He was at our house for about 30-40 minutes and charged us $365 to ""cleaned the furnace. It was backfeed due to condensate clogged"". We paid it because he came promptly and we had heat....until a few days later. It shut off again. We had to keep switching the power to the furnace off and on to get the heat to come back on. The furnace is still under warranty for parts, not for labor. So we called Burke Plumbing again to tell him that we are still having the same problem and we think it is the ignitor (electrical part that lights the gas) and asked if he could waive his labor charge since he charged us so much for the first visit which did not solve the problem. James kept insisting that it WAS the problem when he came the first time. We told him that the furnace is behaving exactly the same as it did before he cleaned the lines. He insisted that this was a different problem and he would have to charge us again. When we told him that we thought it was unfair, he said ""F*** You"" and hung up on my wife.

We ended up calling a local plumber who checked the ignitor and found that it was loose and one of the wires had some corrosion. He fixed it, charged us $89 which is his hourly rate. We just think that James Burke was very unprofessional and rude.
