OMG I can't believe Alan is still working! 30 years ago he replumbed a 4 story mansion in S.E. for me. He did many other projects for mw around that time. I haven't needed a plumber in a long time so I haven't called him.
Alan is amazing. The house he replumbed had a huge bathtub with expensive chromed hardware that was compromised and some parts he had to make from scratch himself. Anyone can install PEX but it takes a real artist to do what he did. Enough said...call him.

This review is long overdue. Like another person said, Alan was able to do things that others couldn't. He put in the rough plumbing for a new bathroom in our 1905 house in a way that worked far better than those proposed by a couple of other plumbers we got quotes from. Not only is he a very good plumber, but he's also personable and easy to work with. And his rates are quite reasonable. We would definitely use him again.

So we have a 1932 house with the original plumbing, and one of the original bathroom sinks leaked. Our previous plumber told us that it couldn't be fixed without ripping the bathroom apart, so for about 15 years we would just get it patched up but it would soon start leaking again, and so every couple of years we would have to get him out here for $150 a pop. We were going to do it again, but the plumber was getting ready to retire and didn't want the work, so a friend referred me to Burfitt. I texted him photos of the sink, he said we just needed a new faucet, knobs, and drainpipe, he ordered them for us without even coming over, then came over today with his assistant and fixed this and another problem. Good as new. We should have gotten him in years ago. ""And they said it couldn't be done!""

Finding a plumber that crawls under apartment buildings to fix a main sewer line is a challenge these days! Many plumbers I contacted for this repair said they strickly work on new construction projects. Except Burfitt! They do it all, and were very responsive and reliable, and did a great job. Alan was great to work with.

I came home from work yesterday to a plugged kitchen sink that I made much worse by ""fixing it"" myself. I left a message for Burfitt around 8 pm and they responded first thing in the morning. Even better, they were able to get Alan there in just a few hours. He fixed the sink, the price was right, and he was super pleasant to work with. I'm so grateful it was such an easy process. Will definitely keep them as my go to when I need a plumber.

5 stars for Alan! I called them about 8:15 this morning. I was told they would arrive between 10 & 12, which they did. Alan diagnosed the issue with a tub drain, gave me an estimate, cleared drain, was friendly, explained things well and cleaned up thoroughly. Also replaced toilet flapper. I'd hired this company in the 70's to replace our service to the street. It is wonderful after all these years to find a company with the same honest & capable services.

I can't say enough great things about Burfitt Plumbing! I had multiple plumbing issues that I had been putting off - nervous about what the cost would be. One of the issues was my water heater, not generating enough hot water anymore. My neighbor had the same issue around the same time, and his plumber replaced the whole water heater. Burfitt was able to just replace the bottom heating unit - saving me hundreds of dollars. The technician also took care of a leaky pipe that was attached to the garbage disposal and my broken bathroom drain plug. All this taken care of quickly, professionally and inexpensively and on a Saturday to boot! I wish I would have called sooner!
