Bullseye Leak Detection

Colin visited my home last Friday to help figure out a leak problem that has plagued me for several years. I simply kept pouring more water into my into ground spa but finally decided I needed to get it fixed.

Colin came in an after talking thru all the symptoms he was pretty confident that he knew exactly what the problem was. The fix was going to actually be pretty easy but he wanted to go ahead and check the entire system just to make sure there wasn't any other issues.

He walked me thru everything he was going to do and explained how he would test each part of the system. This is basically an in ground concrete poll that has a gas fired heater to get the water up to 104 degrees. It also has a waterfall along with jets and the regular pump. Pretty complex.

Colin drained a majority of the pool so he could work thru all of the inlets and outlets and tested each part of the system. His suspicion about the problem was correct and there was a seal between the pool and the skimmer that had failed. Colin was able to patch it using epoxy so that I could test the fix over the next few days. He also recommended that the entire pool be resurfaced since there was fine sand material suggesting the concrete was slowly degrading.

I've now been watching the water level stay high for many days so I am confident that Colin's diagnosis of the problem was correct.

It was great to work with someone who knew his business very well and was happy to take the time to walk thru each part of the system and explain what he was doing.

Great work and I will certainly use Bullseye again if I have any other leak issues.

My first conversation was with American Leak Detection. Their business model is similar to Bullseye Leak Detection, but their service left a lot to be desired over the phone. I may have paid a bit more (just $25 more) for the initial leak detection than with American Leak Detection, but I am so glad we went with Bullseye instead. All of the comments made here about how thorough and clear they were about the entire process left my wife and I feeling that we weren't being ripped off. This is a lot more than I can say about the current work we are needing on our roof. Bullseye is a stand up company deserving of your business. I'll stop there, as I feel like I am being quoted in one of those obnoxious TV ads.

There are better options out there cause this guys are so incompetent and unprofessional that won't even admit their error. Don't want to go over what happpened because it was a long chain of inaccuracies. From sending unprepared workers to pinpointing the wrong leak location (making the most awful excuse to justify their incompetence) this is not a company you should rely on and let alone be allowed to do any work in your house. It was my mistake for not searching better before contacting them. Lesson learned.

Had leak and needed to find out where it was coming from. The insurance company called Bullseye and they were great. Very thorough and found that the leak was coming from the roof flashing from the Heat Pump. I would definitely use them again if needed!

Adrian from Bullseye came out to assist us with multiple potential leaks. He checked the windows and patio area, in addition to checking the plumbing system. He was thorough, friendly, and professional, taking his time to ensure we understood what the problem was and how we could address. 11/9/2016: They came out for a suspected leak and discovered that a pipe under my decking was leaking. I scheduled them to come out last Friday and called them Friday morning to discover they had neglected to put me on their schedule. They came 2 days ago and did an OK job - so I thought everything was great. This morning I happened to be outside when the pump was on, and water was gushing out of the filter. Called Bullseye, the tech just left. Even though they had disconnected and reconnected that pipe more than once while they were here, the leak was just a ""coincidence"" not their responsibility. I should have known when I had to sign a bunch of disclaimers that this was not going to end well. Lesson learned.

Update 11/10: The original tech who diagnosed and found the leak called me. He heard there was a problem, asked me some questions and wanted to come over, take a look and make it right. He arrived with a repair guy this afternoon. They were here over two hours and repaired the new leak. He apologized profusely for the problem and said it could have been the result of something done during the original repair. I was ecstatic that I was not on the hook for more repair costs on top of what I originally paid them. This technician - Colin - was awesome and very thorough both with the diagnosis and repair. This being said, the second leak should have been taken care of when I reported it -- this is called customer service. I have a feeling that if I had not posted a Yelp review, it would not have been resolved. I would now consider using Bullseye in the future, but only if Colin was available. He was the consummate professional. Bullseye should be proud to have him as part of their team.

Was referred to Bullseye by Yolo County Plumbing who zeroed in on the exact spot of our cold water line leak under the concrete, very professional, I'd recommend them for slab leak repair..done in one day!
