Competent installation crew, but left the place a little trashed, but overall ok. Products were standard. Business practices (billing, customer engagement, explanation of work, etc) leave a lot to be desired. Won't use them again.

It always happens - hottest days on record and your AC fails. I needed someone to come out and get us going again in short order. Building Inspectors and Contractors had been referred to us by our previous guy (Oreland Mechanical), so I used them to install a water heater under a similar situation and they did a great job - quick turnaround, good equipment, competent staff - very happy customer.

However, I should have shopped this one around and been less panicky about getting a replacement.

They were prompt and got a replacement unit installed within 24 hours. HOWEVER, I didn't receive the contract until after they had finished the work. We never seemed to have a chance to discuss options, so I really had no idea what I was getting (that's on me). They ended charging $1,400 more than a second estimate I finally recieved (that's also on me).

But here's where it went sideways. I was concerned that the airflow downstairs didn't seem to be working. The service tech got an attitude, told me nothing they did would have caused the problem and must have assumed that I wasn't going to pay them. Then Randy was threatening to file a police report alleging that I wasn 't going to pay him, but he never spoke with me before he made that threat - WTF. The check was written and in my hand. I was simply waiting for the guys to complete the work. They got paid but I will be very reluctant to use them again because of their business practices.

PROs: Good work, the products are standard but good enough, and they left the job site fairly clean (I did have to vacuum the carpets to pick up all the insullation they tracked out of the attic). CONs: Their business practices including how they engage with customers, advance explanation of work to be done, contract paperwork, weird attitudes about payments, post-install service, etc. leave a lot to be desired.

Perhaps I should have read the ""Recent"" YELP reviews first (doh) ...

Originally they were very responsive and worked with Roofers on job at my home. Thought they would be worth a try on a couple side jobs, in spite of some bad reviews mostly because Mike that worked the job was great. Very positive when I asked for two estimates for two jobs. Never got estimates. Then the office advised a Date, time they would be here. Turns out it was to look not replace part on new storm door and still no estimate. Got another date and time to do the job. Okay. Please send estimate before the scheduled date and time, their reply was that the carpenter advised to replace in lieu of fixing. Huh? If the guy that was here was carpenter I wouldn't want him working on my house anyway. The other repair he advised was just cosmetic? Huh? So I am happy it didn't work put. Beware and be advised you have 50-50 chance.

Randy gave us an estimate to replace our sewer line that turned out to be too low for what the job required. But instead of asking for more money to cover his costs, he cut corners on our agreed upon services.
Our yard was left a mess - not at all graded and level and filled with rocks and roots, he did not seed which was in our estimate, our front tree was butchered- not cut- but large branches ripped and mangled, he dug out many plants in my front garden that we must replace, and broke our brand new retaining wall cracking off a large chunk. When I called him to discuss the mess he left, he was hostile and rude explaining that the job was bigger than anticipated so he wouldn't fix a single thing for us leaving us to foot the bill for all the unfinished work and ruined wall.
His error in estimating our job turned out to be our problem in every way. Instead of just paying more for a job well done (which we would have preferred!), we're left with a huge mess to clean up, many expenses to cover, and his hostile attitude to top it off. I'd steer clear of this company. We're beyond disappointed.

I hired this company in June 2020....Unfortunately, couldn't even give one star for my rating. (Yelp asked me to give a rating, so ONE STAR all I can give) I had a leak from my faucet in my shower. Called and had someone come out to look at the problem. (which I thought the guys name was Randy and I even called him Randy and he responded to that name, his name was Bob and he didn't even correct me). SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! There was also a leak coming from under the tub in my basement and the guy (Bob) tighten the knob and what that did was turn off my hot water to get from the shower. It took several times to come back to fix the problem. Charged me to fix the leak from the faucet. Crazy prices!!! Then the leak from the basement wasn't even from the knob, it was the pipe that was leaking behind the tub that provides you hot water. So then I was charged for that visit... were very rude and very unprofessional.

End result the water is still leaking from my faucet in the tub. I refuse to have them come back into my home. It frustrates me that I paid a lot of money for these services and wasn't even done properly.

I hired this company on June 9th 2010 to install a New 3.5 ton air conditioning unit, for $ 2,500 they didn't bring a warranty with them they told me they would mail it to me I never did get one. Today I had someone check it, they told me the a.c. unit was manufactured in 2004, I was in disbelief he said it was a used unit. No wonder they never gave me a warranty. I still have my receipt. I guess it's too late to do anything about it. But I hope if someone is thinking about hiring this company they read this first.
