This is one of the worst plumbing service you can find. They came to my house to do a leak detection. They fail to do a correct analysis and say that I possibly has a slab leak. To fix the leak would cost more than $2000. The fix will open up several big holes on the footing and the wall.
When I talked to the owner, I told them that they did not identify the problem so I should not be charged. The owner gets very angry and asks me not to call again.
I had another company, Bulleye Leak detection to check again. They fail to detect the leak for the first time, but they correctly identified the problem when they came again. My shower cartridge is worn out, so the hot water bleeds into the cold water. After I replace all shower cartridges, my natural gas bill went from more than $150 to around $25 in the summer. Bulleye is really professional and polite.

I have used Buds Plumbing Service in the past & was very impressed with their service. Not anymore. I called them regarding a plumbing issue & was told that someone would come out to evaluate it & give me an estimate. They came out, looked at it & said they would send the estimate. A few days later, I got the estimate via email, I called them & they made an appt with me to come out to fix it. They called me the day of the appt to tell me that they wouldnt be able to make the appt due to several burst pipes people had due to weather.....well ok, but I did have an appt! They advised me they would call back to reschedule. I finally called them back the next week to reschedule. They told me they wouldnt be able to come out til the next week, that they would call me back & make the appt. Never heard from them again....finally ended up finding someone else. I wont recommend this company to anyone.

The price was very reasonable (especially for plumbing!). The service person arrived within the time window promised and was friendly and efficient. My drain was cleared quickly and I'm very happy with the experience. I will definitely use them again if I have drain problems.

Same day service. Called prior to arrival. Quick, efficient, friendly service. Had parts on hand. Drain problem solved! Fabulous!

Terrible customer service.
We schedule to replace water heater for Tuesday morning.
Around noon I called and ask where is the plumber. After waiting for a long time finally I've got answer, he can come around 4pm. That didn't work for me, I have plans for afternoon.
We reschedule everything for the next day. Plumber came on time, left once to get some pipes...Really? He came to do plumbing without pipes. He was done by noon. Left mess around water heater and in my garage. He didn't test if everything was working, he just left. I turn on the water and see that pipes behind my water heater is leaking. I called back. Somebody came to confirm that, yes it is leaking and then third guy finally fix what was done wrong in the first place.
Nobody apologize to me instead they send a bill.
Please save yourself time and money. I do not recommend them to anyone.

I haven't had to use Bud's for years thanks to the great quality of work they use to provide. The shop was run by a guy named Jim. He was awesome and had things working like clockwork. Now I get poor customer service and a rude stinky plumber at my door. It's too bad they couldn't keep the quality.

Buds Plumbing Service overcharged us for 10 minutes of work! they came out -- spent 10 minutes capping off 2 pipes -- told me there was no charge -- after me insisting to pay for their work, they spent 30 minutes in their van talking & on the phone trying to determine how much to charge for the work -- after waiting for over half hour, I walked out to their van and asked how much, they told me the charge was $165! I was shocked! I have contacted the owner and have requested a refund on a portion of their overcharge!
also, we have been trying to get an estimate from them for doing the plumbing in our bathroom remodel and they never respond back with any estimate -- so
because of these problems we won't be using Bud's Plumbing Service for any plumbing work in our home!

When your sewer is plugged up, you need help quickly. I yelled for Yelp and found Bud's Plumbing Service and gave them a call. A very polite receptionist guided me through the drill and said help will be on the way. Within a couple of hours their crackerjack guy was out to my house and on the roof. I have no clean out access on my old house. Within minutes he had all drains open and free flowing - and gave it a couple of more passes just to be sure. Their price was moderate, and as a senior on limited income, I appreciated that. I will call them back to install a permanent clean out access so he won't have to get on the roof, if this should happen again. I'm convinced. I wouldn't call anyone else. Most big box rooter companies will not get on the roof. Bud's will. Thanks for the friendly and courteous guy you sent out to get me moving again. TOM

I have had Bud's come out at least four different times in the 7 years I have owned my home. Twice to snake the old main sewage line and twice to repair an old failing main water line.
They always show up when they say the will.
They always do the work for the price they quoted.
They didn't charge me an arm and a leg when I had to call them at 2am.
They never pressure me on a whole new system when we both know I really do need it. They are more than willing to do the ""patch jobs"" until I can afford it.
Being in the contracting business myself, we all get a bad wrap. I give their name to everyone I know personally and professionally when someone needs a plumber because I know that no one is going to come back and say they were disappointed.

One lousy experience with Buds Plumbing. I didn't hire them, the apartment managers did. The plumber who repaired my water heater left huge splashes of muddy water all over my walls, on my tv, the dvd player, and on the carpet. Also splashes and puddles of muddy dirty water on my solid wood coffee table. Damage to some of my books. Stains on the walls in two places. Dirt all over the bottom of the bathtub/shower. I had placed sheets down to protect the carpet and he wadded them up on the floor instead of using them as protection. I would never recommend this service to anyone. May 8, 2010
