The one star is for the great work that Steven did. The rest of this company are nothing but thieves!
They up charged me so much and lied about being Roseville code requirements that had I known what was going on, I would have turned them away.
Run as fast as you can, stay away from these guys.
Charged me $250 for a Water Heater drip pan that he slipped under the heater when installing, how is that $250.
Charged me $145 for Earthquake straps that were exactly the same as the ones that were already there. Also said that Roseville code required them to be on same wall(heater is in a corner), when city came out for permit final inspection, inspector said original was good, did not need to be changed.
Charged me $260 for the flue that was already there, just had to attach to new heater.
Charged me $140 for the T&P drain that was already there, just had to sweat the new one on.
Charged me $110 for the sediment trap that could have been reused.
Tech told me ""Well a plumber is $300 an hour"" Well then just charge me the hourly rate, he was here less than 2 1/2 hours.
Bottom line, just run an honest business and then you get referrals and repeat customers!

Had an issue, contacted AHS and they set up Budget Rooter to come out.
Derek came out, did a quick overview of what was needed and got to work.
All work was completed pretty quickly, showed me what he had done, gave me some info on what he had found.
Derek was great, professional, polite, and did a great job.

Worse company ever! scammed me out of $500 and then tried again for $700. said there was modifications done to the pipe, the tech said No modifications needed. then wanted to rebuild my toilet! what! and it's all the owner Randy. I wrote a bad review because the lady on the phone is so rude and doesn't like her job, HE SHOWS UP AT MY HOUSE! asking why I gave a bad review. are you serious right now. So here I am weeks later fighting with AHS because I don't want them back and finally got another company to come out. hope they're honest. so a fair warning dont use Budget Rooter! their just out to scam you.

Don't always trust the reviews on Yelp! My home insurance company contracts through this company and I was hesitant at first because of the poor reviews. However, what I have learned is people mainly leave reviews when they are unhappy.

This company came out less than 48 hours after contact. They communicated through email and text. This morning, they let me know through text they were on their way, who would be showing up, and approximate time.

Technician Darek arrived and was professional and knowledgeable. He knew what the problem was and replaced the part. Then found another small leak and replaced that part also. He did an outstanding job!

I used them through American Home Shield. They called me 2 days before the visit thinking i had a hot water leak. I explained to them i needed one warer heater routine maintenance. The second one did not have hot water coming out.

Guy comes out. Tell me that his company doesnt do routine maintenance. So the first one is out. The second one. He says he can't touch it but i should see if i have a warranty on it. He can't touch it. WTF.

Budget rooter failed to install a shut off switch for our water heater they installed and now we are not passing inspection for a city permit. And they refused to come out and install one and hides behind our home warranty saying ""u have to go through them"" and home warranty says u have to go through budget rooter.so I am in limbo I want this fixed

Respectfully the next time we reach out to this company HIGHLY doubt we ever do again, we will make sure to ask for someone OTHER than Steven Y. I bet if we got someone other than Steven Y we would get a completely different experience. 0 STARS for Steven

Well I have home owner insurance with American Home Sheild. We knew our water heater was having problems with leaking water. I called AHS paid 100.00 and Budget Rooter came out took 1 minute and said you need a new water heater.. duh we knew that but that's why we pay monthly for AHS to get things fixed when broken. We'll I didn't hear back from AHS, they stated that budget stated they needed to get permits, do some adjustments blah blah... they needed to get permits and all kinds of other shit. 9 fees that total 1750.00. well they stated it would cost 1750.00 for our part. I said that's ridiculous, my water heater is supposed to be covered. But do to Budget telling AHS they need to do upgrades and crap. Now AHS will not cover the water heater. What a bunch of bullshit. We purchased our own water heater and had it installed all for under 900.00. Guess what no damn permit needed and nothing cut out in my house. Watch out for shady businesses trying to jack up pricing and trying to over charge people. Beware of this place! They try to sell you a Cadillac when that's not what you want or need.. SMH

Company was dispatched by AHS, they contacted me to schedule an appointment right away, and then Darek came to replace the disposal. He was fantastic and I had an overall great experience with the company. Hope this helps any AHS customers with concerns over the other ratings!
