Being a native of Napa, Rick is well-connected to the community in various capacities. He began his career as a law enforcement officer and advanced to the Public Defender role, and later upon reaching retirement age at the age of 50, he devoted his efforts on guiding young people in Napa as a softball coach at Napa's high schools.
