We had Buddy King do an AC installation in our home and overall we had a great experience with them! They got the job done in a very timely fashion and were very efficient in coming in with a full team to get everything done within a week instead of drawing it out with 1-2 people for weeks which we have had other contractors do which is not ideal at all. Buddy King was great, they quoted us a reasonable price and were honest and up front with everything so that there were no surprises during our installation. Brian was great to work with and experienced as well so that really put us at ease. They also returned phone calls within the same day and we just had a good customer experience with them overall.

I just used Buddy King Plumbing yesterday for the second time. They are really good plumbers and very nice people. They fixed the problem and made sure I understood what was fixed and how it was fixed. They also showed how to avoid having the problem happened again. Really helpful, courteous, clean, and friendly. Just wanted to follow up with another buddy King Plumbing Heating review. For some reason the thermostat for my HVAC was not responding. Brian came out to take a look quickly replaced the fuse...at no charge. In other words, they don't just install and run. They follow up their work. Impressed and grateful. Highly recommend!

We were experiencing a leaking wall unit in our server room (our company is all tech so this is BAD) and the AC repair company that we have a contract with was being AWFUL. Ex: they told us they'd arrive at 8:30am and then continually delayed their ETA until around 12:30pm which is when we decided to call Buddy King. Kelsey answered the phone, communicated our service options and prices really efficiently and then immediately started contacting their techs to see who was available. Two ended up being free to come in at around 1pm. There is such an obvious stark contrast between Buddy King and our former repair company - we'll definitely be calling Buddy King for any repair needs in the future and ya'll should too.

I really can't say enough good things about Buddy King. Kelcie was so helpful during this whole process; from multiple quotes, scheduling, coordination, to getting us information on multiple units. Brian and Cody did a great job installing everything and navigating some tricky house-quirks we have as well. Brian is so personable, down-to-earth, and just a likable dude. I would highly recommend using Buddy King in a heartbeat.

I had a leak under my sink ... and it was flooding my cabinets. Called Buddy King Plumbing and the guys came that same day found the leak (at a joint or something?) and BOOM no more water! But the best part was that my super snobby, shy dog who likes NOBODY, LOVED Brian the plumber. She is a good judge of character, so I will be calling them if i ever need another fix!

My heater stopped working during the recent cold spell and my regular heat and ac repair serviceman didn't get back to me the day before. I called Buddy King and and they said they could come by the same afternoon. Great! They did disclose there was an $80 fee to take a look and troubleshoot and that would go towards any repairs, fair enough i suppose.

About then I got a call from my regular repairman who overlooked my call b/c of my Chicago area code. Oops! I already had Buddy's guy coming over so let him know i was all set. Got a call later that day and the tech was running about 30 min late. No big deal... He showed up around 4pm. Not trying to judge, but the tech looked maybe in his early 20s. Shrugged that off too. He took a look and banged around a bit. I heard him on the phone with his tech and they were talking. He let me know his supervisor said it could be spiderwebs or a bad gas valve. Hoping for the former i started looking at costs of valves on my phone in case. Not knowing exactly what i was looking for, I was seeing between 150-200 dollars for the valve.

Unfortunately the tech didnt have any luck and said he'd have to get the part. He'd have to come by the next day and would get back to me with a cost. I asked him for a ballpark he said about 4 or 500 maybe. He called me back about a half hour later and said he got a quote from his boss and it'd be $650! Are you kidding me?! Told him that seemed really high and he apologized saying he didn't make the price. Great....

Immediately hopped on the phone with my other repairman. He came by the following morning, got the replacement valve (which he found for $170, so I was close in my guess) and had the heat back on without being on the phone with his HQ the whole time. Total cost... $385.

Im out the wasted 80 bucks from these guys but still saved about a hundred dollars not using Buddy King. They showed up the same day so thats a plus, but I'd look elsewhere. Would much rather not overpay for subpar service.

Applying a troubleshooting fee to repairs doesn't seem very fair when they grossly over charge.

Our 7-year-old air conditioner decided to lose its will to live during one of the hottest weeks of the year. We called Buddy King because we liked what we saw in the reviews from other customers. Kelcie, the office manager, was extremely helpful and professional! She called us back immediately, took down all our information - our condo building has very specific criteria on appliances - and said they could install it a few days later. The three-person team arrived when they said they would, and very carefully removed the old unit, very carefully installed the new one, made sure it worked, and hauled away the old one, the box and all the bits and pieces - they didn't just jam the unit in the wall and they didn't leave a big mess! They were fast, friendly and professional.

So far they've been excellent! I called them and they had someone over within a day or two. When Brian came over he was more than helpful and courteous! First impressions mean a lot, and Brian certainly did a good job representing his company! When I figure out what unit to install I will definitely use them!
