Buckeye Plumbing is a family-owned business that is committed to providing exceptional service to the Akron and Canton regions. As time has passed, we have developed a deep understanding into the plumbing needs of this area and the wonderful people that make this part of Ohio a great place to reside.

The Miller brothers, Elton and Perry established our company, Buckeye Plumbing in 1973. Starting out, they operated from a small garage focusing on building new homes, but soon saw the growing demand for plumbing assistance, with their partners answering phones and relaying messages.

As time went on, the business location has moved several times until we found our current location in 1989, when we established our retail space in the town of Hartville. Since 2002, Shawn Miller has been the owner of our company. He plans to continue the commitment to hard work and ethical standards that have formed the foundation of our business.

I recommend Buckeye Plumbing. They solved a plumbing problem no one else could. They do not have rock bottom prices, however, you could employ highly trained staff if you did. The owner is steadfast on ensuring excellent customer satisfaction. I highly recommend Buckeye Plumbing. They trenched and replaced our downspouts, installed a water softener and much more. They are dedicated to solving your plumbing issues,

Can't say enough about this company. Been using them for years and always very satisfied. Most recently for a bad sump pump. They were here with an hour and fixed in 15 minutes. Even helped with clean up.

Two service calls by Alex.
This is condescending young man will track dirt through your home while rudely remarking on your fixture of choice should he find it wanting.
If I could, I would leave negative stars.
The second time he was over, he was training someone to act just like him.
Waste of time.
Terrible customer service.
I do not recommend.

I had a list of plumbing projects to do, including dealing with low water pressure in the upstairs restroom. Alex came out and handled everything like a boss. We had a larger job with the basement sink next to the washer and dryer that the former owner had the piping jerry-rigged as cheap as possible, and Alex came out the next week and replaced it all, priced very reasonably.

Hopefully, I won't need to call a plumber again but if I do, I'd call Buckeye Plumbing again.

Ive had them come out before and they will be the first I call if a situation arises.

I called buckeye plumbing to have some repairs on my toilet, and have them install new fixtures. I was told they won't install anything that you didn't purchase from them. If they do install it, they won't guarantee the work.

I notified Buckeye Plumbing of a failed sump pump at 10:41 pm. By 10:59 they were on their way to fix it. Their emergency service is outstanding. I won't use anyone else again.

I had an issue with my hot water tank. They were out the next day and explained what they were doing. Ended up replacing my hot water tank.

Had some issues with an old dishwasher and was not sure if it was plumbing related or if it was just the age of the dishwasher. Buckeye plumbing sent Patrick out within hours of opening on a Monday morning. He thoroughly checked the plumbing around the dishwasher and determined it was not plumbing related. He was very kind. Although there was not a plumbing issue, I still had to pay a service call. I understood, because it is the cost of doing business. Patrick was apologetic bc he was at house for 5 minutes, but he still has to follow protocol as an employee of company. Again, I completely understood as I would want my employees doing the same thing. Ten minutes after Patrick had left, I got a call saying they were voiding the service call charge. As a homeowner who uses plumbing services quite a bit, I will definitely be calling them again. Service was great on front and back end!!

I hired Buckeye plumbing to install a kitchen sink and faucet set I bought from Costco (whose quality of products I find to be excellent) for my 83 year old mother in her home in Akron. Because of poor communication on their part, I thought I would let others know their policies
(1) they charge a $75 fee for coming out, and if you accept their bid to do the work, it is not credited to the job. Based on this lack of information up front, they agreed to refund us $37.50 of that ""show up"" fee.
(2) Although when my 4'10"" 95 lb mother found a week later that when she turned on the hot water it leaked - she made the normal assumption that it was a problem from the previous week installation. However, Buckeye plumbing insists on charging $75 to come back out regardless of what the origin of the problem is.
(3) Even though they agreed to do the installation - which in our case they charged $350 for installing the sink/faucet we supplied- they only guarantee the complete job if you buy the materials from them. Hence they assume that anything that goes wrong is the materials and not their plumbing work unless you can prove to them otherwise.

In summary, they answer the phone promptly, they show up when they say they will, and the owner called me back to explain all of the above -after the fact. I gave a 2 star rating because they should explain everything up front, I think over $450 in the end to install a sink/faucet is too expensive, and they charge extra for basic customer service.
