I would give zero stars if that was an option. I called because I had a leak in my upstairs water heater closet. Without even a look twice the engineer looked down, saw the water and said right away I needed a new hot water heater. I was skeptical right away and asked how long he had been working for Buckeye (6 yrs) and how he knew without any diagnosing. He said that he has been a plumber long enough to know what was wrong. He wrote me up an estimate of 1,500$ for a 60 gal. heater and 1,650$ for an 80 gallon heater. Said he'd need an extra helper for 2 hours as well and added on labor to the estimate. Charged me $55 for the svc. call and left me to decide. On womens intuition I called a builder friend of mine and he had another company call me and come that afternoon. He dried the area, told me to put a red dixie cup under a pipe that was open and said use your shower and if the cup fills call me. Well the cup filled w/water and no water leaked onto the floor. He said it was a $300 part called Expiration tank and T & P valve!!! Needless to say, I called the manager at Buckeye and she told me that she would rip up my check and did not even apologize or make excuses for the tech. I told her she needs to inform her boss or the owner and it was unethical. Being a business owner and in HR for many years I personally would have aplogized and either written warning or fired the engineer. Probabally fired him personally!!!

I wrote a review for Buckeye in the past, but I really have to update with another 5-star review. Based on the great experience I've had with Buckeye in the past, I asked the same plumber, Olvid, to please help me with a project in my office down in Boca. We planned it all out and when the time came to actually do the installation, Olvid had to shut the water off to my office. He found an old shutoff valve near a main just before my office which was great so that we wouldn't have to shut the water off for the whole building. But the valve had to be 50 yrs old and 1/2-way thru him shutting the valve, it broke...something that these v. old style """"gate"""" valves are notorious for...this would leave the office with only 1/2 water pressure, which was not good, so he now had to look at replacing THAT valve, in addition to the original project...all in all, it turned into a real """"Pandora's Box"""" due to the age of the building's infrastructure. But Olvid and Buckeye hung in there every step of the way, adjusting his schedule so that he could continue for the hours it took to tackle the problem step by step and not leave me stranded. It was really inspiring to watch and very reassuring. This is really a company that values doing the job right and not cutting corners.

Buckeye plumbing replaced our polybutylene plumbing in our house for us, not to mention other items (bathtub drain, fixtures, laundry, etc.) and they were phenomenal! Jack and Andrew were the plumbers who replaced the polybutylene, and were so efficient and professional at their job, and also worked so well together. Because of their incredible team effort we requested either of them to return for the remaining items. Jack returned and got everything done for us. If you want a good plumber request either of these two, and for polybutylene, buckeye definitely know their stuff!

(Unlike some of the other contractors that don't return calls) Marie, was very pleasant on the phone.
