I am my own handyman and pride myself with being able to fix many things. This was true until I could not muscle out my very heavy vinyl patio sliding door to put on replacement wheels. I called Bubba's in the morning and they showed up in the afternoon. It was quite the struggle for two men, but they fought with the door to get it out, replaced the wheels, and fought with the door again to put it back. I am quite impressed and pleased that they were able to do it. The door now works great and I dont have to buy a new one. Thanks Bubbas!

Bubba's made up reviews and rating didn't make onto Yelp. This proves yelp works. Still amazes me someone has the balls to do this write fake reviews not a good sign!

I wish I could give less than one star. Their pricing is predatory and they were derogatory to me when I complained. I had a very simple punch list they couldn't handle. Things like changing a doorknob took two hours! Changing out two faucets this and hanging a chandelier cost 1000. Oh and changing a hinge. Outrageous. Plus they told me they were coming out to my house for free to finally fix the doorknob and charged me. For the record I paid them for good riddance

They gave me a 300 bid to fix some exterior stair treads. Actual cost was 571 and they said they did you a Broom so they could not clean up?

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY TO DO WORK ON YOUR HOUSE!!!

YOU WILL WASTE YOUR MONEY, THEY WILL DO A VERY BAD JOB AND THE OWNER WILL NOT STAND BEHIND HIS WORK. When I complained, I was told the company was now out of business and they would not stand behind their work.

One of the things they were to do was to install a laminate kitchen counter and sink. They couldn't figure out how to miter the corner of the counter so they filled in the gap with a 1/2 inch wide caulking from the wall to the front counter corner.

They did not cut the sink correctly so it did not lay flat on the counter but set up 1/2 inch above the counter and filled in the gap again with caulk.

Also rather than tell me that they did not know how to install a ceiling fan, they told me that I should not put one in the kitchen.

In the bathroom , I wanted the new vanity light moved 8 inches so that it would be centered above the new vanity. Instead , they installed a new light in the same old place and claimed that he could not be moved. Can you imagine how awful that looked to see the vanity light 8 inches off center of the vanity itself?

This wonderful work cost me over $1,000. I have had to hire another company to do the work over so now I have paid twice for the work period no please do not hire these people!!!

The company was fast to answer call. Service man was on time. I asked them to hang a door. Worker finished and left. I noticed the next day the door would not close correctly- I didn't call right away because we have a baby and 2 year-old so it's hard enough to schedule time for anything- the door problem got worse and worse so I called finally and the woman on the phone said ""it's been more than 30 days, so there would be a charge to come out"". I told her it didn't work right from beginning- she said it's been more than 30 days"". Well, I expect work to be done right the first time--The rep was here for 45 mins and we spent 150.00 to hang the door- this is the last time I use this company. What happened to standing behind your work? Or customer service?

Honest HVAC company! Good people.
I can't believe I've finally found an honest and capable HVAC. What an ordeal we had. In the coldest part of the ""Polar Vortex"" -of course- our downstairs furnace quit. Panic ensues. We call one of the big companies (I won't say who, but it rhymes with 'Sheverheady Slevrvice Hexperts'). I'll refer to them as LEC (large evil company) in this review. So, LEC comes out, pokes around, takes our $100 'diagnosis fee' and tells us our fan is out and needs to be replaced. They wanted an additional nearly $700 to replace it. So I looked online and found the part for less than $150, and several videos on what the work entailed. I quickly realized we were going to be paying hundreds of dollars for less than an hours work and started calling around.

These big companies are all in collusion with each other. Despite the fact that I had a written estimate with all the relevant equipment info, everyone I called wanted their $100 to come tell me the same thing. I will also mention that LEC initially refused to even tell us what kind of furnace we had (even though it was written on the estimate we later found). LEC was also simultaneously trying to sell us a new furnace for a whopping crazy huge amount of money.

Enter Bubbas. They were so nice on the phone. They were willing to come right out and get the part to make sure it was the right one and replace it for nearly half what LEC wanted. And no 'diagnosis fee' since we already had a diagnosis. So they came out, and when they pulled the fan they discovered our furnace had rusted thru and was dangerous. Now we really were in the market for a new furnace.

Instead of shafting us the way LEC did, Bubba's quoted a fair and reasonable price for the replacement, and we scheduled the work. They were fantastic about staying in touch, showing up exactly when they said they would, and were able to quickly get our heat back on for us.

I will never call anyone else for HVAC. Until you've been in a bad situation, you have no idea how important it is to have an honest, capable company to help you. They were not out to take advantage of us or try to sell us anything we didn't need. They were fair, fast, they did quality work, and they went out of their way to help us when we were in a bad spot.

I am so grateful we found this company, now I never have to deal with these horrible shady ""Big"" HVAC companies again. I'd rather support a small business that cares about its customers.

No call, no show.

I called Bubbas on Wednesday night, and the phone was immediately answered. I set up an appt to fix a window Thursday from 11-12pm with Cory. No call, no show. I called back the same number, and I was told (by someone with a different voice) that I'd gotten the wrong number. 15 minutes later I called and it went to voicemail. I have not received a call back.

I will not be calling them again. So unprofessional.
