The only reason I gave 1 star instead of ZERO stars is because I did meet one professional, capable contractor named Travis. He was great and helpful. Brooke, the OWNER, came to the house the other two times and was a complete nightmare.

As background, we were working through a home warranty company and GE. B's plumbing is authorized to work on GE parts (and as suggested to us by GE). We have a strange hybrid water heater unit. There were 2 problems, one was not a major problem and we needed a HVAC company to repair, the other problem was with our heating elements (we did not have hot water due to this issue) and B's plumbing was supposed to repair.

Visit #1: Brooke came to the house, said he could fix the heating element and restore our hot water. He called GE to see if he could fix the hybrid issue too. GE said no. Instead of fixing the heating element...which is why we called them to begin with (because NO HOT WATER!)...Brooke told us that GE said he couldn't work on any part of the system. He made us pay our Home Warranty deductible and left our home. I then called GE and they told me that they only told Brooke not to fix the hybrid portion. I then got Brooke on the phone with GE (as if I didn't have anything better to do) so they could tell him directly. Brooke then refused to come back to the house unless the Home Warranty company approved another visit. Two hours of hold time and a three-way call between Brooke and the Home Warranty company, and he is told to go back and service the unit as originally intended. He kept saying ""someone needs to pay me to go back there"" over and over. Ugh. He, of course, could not come back until the next day...

Visit #2: Travis, not Brooke, came and installed the heating element. Travis was professional and courteous and seemed to know a lot more about fixing units than Brooke. However, another heating element needed to be replaced and ordered. Hence, visit #3 scheduled.

Visit #3: Brooke came back and came up with about 20 excuses not to change out the heating element he had in his hand. Everything from not being able to get the unit opened (he had to use OUR TOOLS) to not thinking there was problem. I made him call Travis who told Brooke that GE said that heating element had to be replaced as well. Brooke kept making comments (in between his excuses about not needing to replace the element) that ""someone needs to pay for this."" B's Plumbing had apparently forgotten to get approval from my warranty company to finish fixing the unit. After fixing everything, Brooke told me that I HAD TO PAY HIM because we couldn't get a hold of the Home Warranty Company. All of this is completely against their arrangement with the Home Warranty Company, by the way. When I refused to pay, Brooke wrote in the invoice ""customer to pay if warranty refuses."" I refused to sign as, again, it is not my responsibility to work things out with the Home Warranty Company, it is theirs. Brooke then told me that he was going to UNINSTALL THE HEATING ELEMENT that he had just put in because I wouldn't sign something saying I'd pay. Needless to say, I promptly kicked Brooke out of my home and called the Home Warranty Company to ensure we would never get serviced by Brooke again.

We bought a new dishwasher, and the job was contracted to B's Plumbing in Waldorf, MD through Lowes. It has been nothing but one big headache since then, and now after the installation, we have damage to our kitchen, and downgraded plumbing, and a brand new dishwasher with gouges in the tub. I do not hold Lowes responsible for this, they have been working with us to correct our issues. It started with our first appointment to install the dishwasher: they completely missed the installation window, and made no attempt to call. I finally called two hours into it, to find out when they were coming by. They were going to be at least a half hour later than the end of the window I had been scheduled for. Because of a conflicting appointment, I had to reschedule. I asked for their 8-11 am window the following Tuesday which was the first day they had available due to other conflicting appointments that afternoon. They called Monday at 4:30pm and told me I had been scheduled for their 12-3pm slot, not the 8-11 am slot I had requested a week earlier. There was no explanation offered. We rescheduled for the following morning.

Jimmy, the installer arrived at 9 am. I only refer to him as an installer because there is no way he was a licensed plumber. The removal was poorly done, and I now have loose wooden flooring around the dishwasher AND gouged Formica on the cabinet area from him wiggling it up and down, trying to get the old unit out.

The installation wasn't much better. I told B's Plumbing that we had a copper tubing supply line to the original dishwasher. This information was never passed on to Jimmy ( our installer), and he never made any attempt to maintain what was already there. I am still not sure how he removed the original tubing, but we now have a downgraded supply line. I had to insist that he use plumber's tape on the elbow join to the supply line. He actually argued that the washers would be enough. Wrong! We finally got the unit in place, and while he was attaching the plates that attach the new dishwasher to the counter top, he placed two large gouges in my new dishwasher tub because he used a flat head screw driver to bend the plates down!

B's also tried to pull another fast one on me regarding the timeline notes for the repeated rescheduling, telling me it was just another copy of the contract I had signed at Lowes! It was not even a contract or anything like that. I of course refused to sign.

The only reason I stuck with them is because Lowes told me that it would take another week to change installation contractors!

Lowes has been great in trying to get this whole thing rectified, but I will never purposefully do business with B's again!

I have never had B's Plumbing do any work for me, but I would hesitate to hire them. I was on a road in Herndon, Virginia that changes from two lanes to one straight lane and one left turn lane. All of the traffic was lined up to go down the straight lane. A B's Plumbing truck started to go by me, then began to close in sideways, moving into my lane and pushing me towards the shoulder. There wasn't much space and only the cab of his truck was visible in front of me; I couldn't see a turn signal. As he continued to move into my lane, I stopped and honked, scared he was going to take off my front end. He pulled in front of me and kept going until we reached a light about fifty yards away.

I pulled out my cell phone to call the number on the back of the truck. The driver got out, came over to my car, yelled that I needed to share the road, that he was the company's owner, and I could call the number all I wanted. I tried to tell him I hadn't seen a turn signal, but he yelled repeatedly that I was an ass and climbed back into his truck.

Now that I have had a few hours to calm down, I have realized I need to remember this company's name. I don't know if the driver really was the company's owner, but he was driving truck number 01. Either way, anyone who forces a merge in this manner and then gets out and confronts a driver he's nearly hit is not someone I would want in my house. Also, if he is this enraged about traffic, what would happen if there is a problem with a repair or project? It's not worth it to me to find out.

B's Plumbing is by far the worse company...
B's Plumbing is by far the worse company i've ever dealt with. They don't even deserve 1 star! We had a new water heater installed and when the technician drained the old water heater and ended up flooding my basement leaving a mess to clean up! He refused to finish cleaning up the water or to call his company to request someone come out to make sure the walls did not get wet. When i called the office manager, she promised to call him and then call me back right away. I never received a call back. I left a message later that evening with the owner on his cell phone letting him know that the new water heater was leaking and that I was not satisfied and that i wanted him to come look at the mess that his technician left. He never returned my call. I have never to this day received paperwork for the service or my warranty for the new water heater. I've found siminar reviews out there of customers who had the same issues. Check out the complaints on the BBB before you make your decision. Unfortunately, our Home warranty company sent this company but i guarantee that will not happen again. I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY!

B's plumbing was suggested to me by Rheem, the manufacturer of my defective water heater. Since it was a warranty issue, I took their advice and made an appointment for B's to come out and replace the water heater. Brook, the owner of the company, was actually the person who came out to first check the old WH and then to replace it with a new one. He was personable, professional, polite, and most importantly on time (actually even a little early). He was more than willing to have me assist him so I could get some plumbing know-how as a new property owner. Overall, I would recommend the company for any household plumbing issue whether they are warranty issues or not.

PS - He even helped clean up afterwards and helped me carry the old WH to my car.

Mr Brooke, owner of the company came to fix the low HOT water pressure in my house. He quickly figured the problem and I have no issues any more. Most of the suggestions from internet and other plumbers was to replace the water heater. But Mr. Brooke fixed the issue without the expensive replacement of water heater.
I recommend them for your service.
Also he gave some basic instructions around drain of water heater to help me down the line.
They were recommended by HMS home warranty and I am a happy customer.

We first had problems with our water heater in December 2012. Home warranty company sent B's Plumbing, and they found the thermostat had been tripped. Had issues again in March 2013 and B's Plumbing came out again. This time the thermostat was replaced. Everything seems to be working fine. Scheduling both appointments was quick and easy, the second visit they reported as a re-call so we didn't have to pay a second time, plus the plumber came out on time during a snowstorm, so we are very happy with their customer service. We would use them again.

We contacted B's plumbing because of our home warranty. We had a leaky pipe in the master shower drain. After the initial diagnosis, they have been here 3 other times. Their plumbers have never been prepared with the correct parts, or even the right number of people (the last time the ticket requested 2 plumbers, and only one showed up). There seems to be no communication between the office and the plumbers, which has led to serious frustration on our part. The office is also only open from 9-4 (I wish I worked those hours!) So if your appointment time is from 2-5, no one is there to let you know if your plumber is actually on his way. Overall, this is a horrible company with poor customer service. If I had to do it over, I would pay for another plumber out of pocket instead of going through my Home Warranty and B's. Avoid B's at all costs.

One star is generous. This place is, as other reviews have said, THE WORST!!! Our home warranty company called them to fix a broken water heater, they charged us an arm and a leg just to ""access"" the water heater, then they said it didn't need to be replaced, even though THREE other plumbers said it did. Moreover, they claimed it was an electrical problem. Electrician showed up and said, no, the electricity is fine, but, as all the others said, the water heater is broken. When the warranty company went back to B's, they refused to come back to our house. They are are a dishonest bunch. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Terrible! I had them come fix a leaking toilet on Thursday and noticed it was still leaking on Friday morning. The repairman had simply tightened a nut or two and declared it ""fixed,"" 5 minutes tops. When I called to have them send someone back, I was given attitude and told no one would be available until Monday. They claimed they don't work weekends. So I guess they don't handle emergencies??? Also, when I checked about payment, I was told I would have to contact my warranty company or else I would be charged again! Made an appointment with another company instead.
