In 1952, Bryant Air Conditioning & Heating Company was founded by Fred R. 'Bob' Sikyta as a two-person venture. After retiring in October 2004, Bob Sikyta passed ownership to his employees under an Employee Stock Ownership Plan. Fred R. 'Bob' Sikyta passed away on August 13, 2006.
At first, we relied on prefab ductwork and equipment from the Omaha Bryant Heating and Air Conditioning Co. Today, we are fully equipped to handle air conditioning, heating, sheet metal, copper, stainless steel plumbing, and all types of electrical work in our modern facility. Our service department is fully equipped to handle both Bryant equipment and other brands. Our licensed electricians and master plumber ensure that Bryant is a well-rounded contractor.
As an employee-owned business, Bryant values its team. Established in 1952 by Fred Sikyta, affectionately known as Mr. B, the company has a rich history. When Mr. B retired, he transferred his final shares to the employees, making Bryant one of the few employee-owned service companies in Lincoln, NE.

Absolutely the worst contractor I've ever worked with. Maybe they were better pre-covid, but in 2022 their service has been ridiculously bad. At times it felt like I was on a hidden camera prank show. We bought a house and a new air conditioner was part of the sale - unfortunately the previous owners chose Bryant for this job. Unit was installed on July 20th, we took ownership of the house on July 25th, and it was July 28th before we spent enough time in the house to notice the AC was already broken. Bryant sent out a tech who didn't call before showing up, blamed the faulty install on a single window unit the previous owners had set up making it hard to tell if the system was working, and couldn't figure out what was wrong before he left. At least, that's what he said - but he ordered an unspecified new part anyway. After we call them twice, we find out that this new part is supposed to arrive August 3. We call them on August 3 and no, wait, actually it should arrive on August 8. Finally it arrives on August 8, a much better tech than the first guy installs it on August 9, and it's working again.
At this point, I wasn't even going to leave a review. Sure, it was terrible service, but the second guy was nice enough and it's working now, so whatever, right?
The air conditioner lasted until August 21 and then broke again.
Cue another tech who ""can't figure out the problem"" but ordered an unspecified part anyway, and another ""miscommunicated"" part deadline. It was supposed to be here August 26, it is now August 30 and they haven't even called. We have been without air conditioning for cumulatively 3 weeks OF AUGUST on what was supposed to be a brand new install, and they're on their second try fixing it. At this point I wouldn't even trust Bryant to clean up after themselves (they didn't, the second guy left a bunch of bolts scattered around our yard). DO NOT TRUET THEM WITH MAJOR APPLIANCE INSTALLATION OR REPAIR. If you need any sort of warranty repair, even on a malfunctioning brand-new install, you will be their absolute LOWEST priority.

We have hired Bryant for HVAC, plumbing and now electrical. They have been good to us for all services. Paul Cook was our electrician this week and he was very efficient and professional.

We have a sun-room heating and air unit. We've been a Bryant customer for as long as we've lived at our current address, which is 25 years, but NO MORE! Our unit wasn't working, so we scheduled a service call with them. We were charged a service call, which we expected. The service technician told us that a part was bad. He recommended that we order a new part. Our unit is 14 years old. My husband asked him about how much a new unit would cost, and he said anywhere from 2,000 to 5,000. So, my husband said he would go ahead and get the new part for 650. The service technician never offered to quote us for a new unit, nor did he tell us there would be fees if we chose not to go ahead with the new part. After the fact, we found out that we could get a new unit for 1,425 INSTALLED through a different vendor. So, of course, my husband cancelled the part. But wait! There's a ""restocking"" and ""freight"" fee!! What? Oh yes. We had to pay a ""restocking"" and ""freight"" fee of an additional 85.15! So, we are out 159.15 for what? For bad, really bad advice and service! My husband called and talked to supposedly the manager. The manager wouldn't budge. We even offered to pay half the fee. But NO! Nothing! So, I'm forced to use other means to get the word out about this horrible treatment! Find another vendor!

Bryant's plumbing department is as good as they get. Totally trustworthy and honest. We've used them for after hour calls and new construction. Always very pleased.

I would recommend this company. Kyle came out on time and explain every step of what he was doing. He didn't try to sell me anything and fixed my air conditioner unit that is very old. He could have tried to sell me a new unit, but he was very professional and only fixed what the problem was. And they are very reasonably priced!

Highly disappointed in the wiliness to do detailed work. I called Bryant to schedule there 32 point Cooling Inspection which included Clean Condenser Coil. The cleaning of the condenser coil does not include combing the 12 hail dents I have. When i called to see why or if they would comb them out, the service manager said it would be additional 40 bucks on top of the $109 i paid to have it serviced. This really makes me wonder what kind of quality work they do. If they missed combing the coils out or want to charge extra what other work did they miss or want to charge me extra for. I am no expert in cooling systems so not sure if they did a full 32 point inspection. Far as i can tell i got a 31 point inspection or even less. Take your business elsewhere!

I was very pleased with the maintenance service provided today. Richard was prompt, courteous and efficient. He was so good with my Sheltie and allowed him to tag by his side as he worked both inside and out. This is not our first maintenance service visit. We've trusted Bryant for over 25 years.

We are very disappointed with Bryant this weekend. We purchased a new furnace and AC from them 2 years ago in April (2012). Yesterday, Friday, we came home around 4:00 to a hot house. This is one of Lincoln's hottest weekends of the summer. My husband called Bryant and talked with a technician. He was helpful and thought our unit was 'frozen up'. We turned it off and restarted it in the evening. It ran fine for a few minutes but then the fan slowed down. We were told a repairman would come but, since it's the weekend, the cost would be $135. The repairman came shortly before noon today, Saturday. It turns out that there is a problem with the fan. It needs a new circuit board but he doesn't know when he'll be able to get that part since this is such a new unit. He's hoping he can get it Monday but that isn't a sure thing...very discouraging.

I've been very happy with Bryant. Great customer service, honest service people, quick response time, thorough work.

I became involved with Bryant about 17 years ago with our new home. I can say without reservation that they have provided exemplary service over the years. We are now in process of replacing our current system due to its age and will have Bryant do the work again, no hesitations!
