When we bought our house in Gresham three years ago the sellers could not give us any information about the complicated irrigation system. This is probably a common situation.

So when the system failed to operate properly this spring we had no clue what was wrong. So we started calling residential irrigation companies to find someone to come out, discover what was wrong, and repair it before the hot weather began.

We called four or five companies and only got one call back, and that one was so booked they could not help soon enough.

Then fortunately we called Bruton Backflow. They answered the phone (which was a pleasant surprise) and squeezed in a technician in two days. jim Bruton came out to look at our mess. Within one hour he had conducted a long series of tests that lead him to an undiscovered valve box that contained a broken valve that had caused the problem. And all the while he was pleasant and informative and taught us many important things about our messy system we did not know.

This is the most responsive, knowledgeable, and efficient company we ever encountered. Truly a pleasure to pass on our experience with this five-star company!

Don't you love when people just do what you need them do do, and do it well? That's Bruton. My husband installed our backflow preventer and we needed it tested to pass inspection. We called on a Monday, they came on a Tuesday, repaired it to bring it up to snuff, and were on their way. Easy and painless, and reasonably priced, considering the great service. Online billing is also a huge plus - I hate having to mail a check, and there's is totally automated so it couldn't be easier. I wish all service was this good!

I found that something was leaking in my irrigation system on Friday 8/04 so after looking on Yelp I called a few places with good ratings. Bruton was the only one I called who could get out by Monday 8/07. This worried me a bit because some of the other companies were booking out til November!
Anyhow, Matt showed up for our scheduled appointment on time and got right to work finding the leak and fixing it. It was a large hole in my drip system and the tubing hose had separated as well. He repaired it and asked if I needed any help with other irrigation issues. He then went to work re-programming my sprinkler system and replaced and adjusted a head that wasn't aimed properly.
He answered my questions about a watering schedule and was very helpful.
When he left he said if I had any questions or if something was still not right to give them a call. He said they would email an invoice. I got it today and it seems very reasonable.
I will call Bruton with any future issues with my sprinklers.

I could not have asked for a better experience with Tim. I was looking for a backflow test, and was happy with Bruton's scheduling & pre-service. They got good yelp reviews, so I reached out online. I got a quick response, with pricing and instructions on how to schedule/order. They have a website where you can get your appointment started, which is nice. And their pricing seemed quite fair.

I ended up getting the backflow testing covered for free this year by the company who had installed my underground sprinkler. So had to call Bruton and cancel my appointment. Their office staff was very friendly and accommodating. My experience with them was positive enough that I wanted to drop a positive review here, and I'll certainly give them a shot in future years for backflow testing and sprinkler repairs as needed.
