Beware of Brun Plumbing My experience with Brun Plumbing was highly disappointing and stressful. Here's what happened: * Initial Agreement: I was provided an estimate of $38,000 and agreed to pay a 50% deposit of $19,000, with the balance due upon completion. * Unexpected Costs: A week after starting, I was asked for an additional $3,000 for equipment, which I paid. Shortly after, I was told I needed to pay $14,000 more, with the threat of stopping work if I didn't comply. At this point, less than 10% of the project had been completed. * Changing Terms: When I refused, a """"business manager"""" was introduced, who presented new terms requiring $6,000+ immediately and weekly payments moving forward, with no clear project scope or cost. Alternatively, they offered a partial refund of the $22,000 I had already paid--far less than what was fair for the minimal work completed (estimated by two other plumbers to be worth $3,000). * Unprofessional Behavior: When I asked for clarification and pointed out the discrepancies, I was met with aggression and threats to escalate the situation in ways that could increase my costs. I ultimately decided not to proceed due to the changing terms, lack of transparency, and unprofessionalism. Despite their promise of a partial refund, I have not received any of my money back. I am working with my financial institution and local news outlets to address this issue, but I strongly caution anyone against hiring this company. Proceed with caution if you do.
