B&C came for a heating zone malfunction, charged $400 to find the problem (2 men, 1-1/2 hours.)... okay. High, but understandable.
Today one man returned with a $75 part, took 20 minutes to install it...and charged an additional $300 for labor. Really?
Will not use them again for minor work. (Though they did a great job installing ductless AC units.).

We are new customers -- our old (oil) system was rusting away and we made the decision to convert to gas while worrying everyday that our boiler would fall apart. Doug at B&C was very knowledgeable and helpful in moving our project along -- they have a terrific back office which took care of all paperwork and made sure that all steps in the complicated process were completed and documented as quickly as possible. The process (which has taken neighbors of ours 12-14 months was completed for us in 2 months.

The installers, Jimmy and Kevin, were terrific...smart, efficient, non-stop workers, clean, thorough, courteous, friendly and expert. Needed tech support as a result of a some quirky incompatibility with 2 of our thermostats and Caleb (with Keith's support) diagnosed what seemed like an impossible issue and repaired it with a lot of detective work and a little piece of wire.)

This was a major decision for us and we feel comfortable having had Bruni & Campisi do the work.

We've used B&C several times - and the only reason we've had repeat was to fix problems that they've created. but after they hung up on my wife because our heat was still not working - NEVER AGAIN.

They did the job, after two others could not get my geothermal system up and running. They were professional, timely and somewhat expensive. Would use them again.

I have used Bruni & Campisi for plumbing and AC. I found them responsive, very polite and prompt. For example, the tech even had 2 pairs of shoes, one for outside and one for inside. The AC work we had was extensive and required a long wait time for parts, we were able to get a temp unit for our central air to bridge the gap during a early season heat wave.I can't confirm if they are pricey as we did not shop around. The previous owner of our home left their name and number as a reliable service provider and we trusted the previous owners recommendation. We will be using them again.

I can't understand any of the negative reviews-- this is an excellent company. Every single member of the Bruni & Campisi team has been so wonderful to work with-- fair, honest and extremely efficient. I had a gas leak while 9 months pregnant and Jack came right over, diagnosed the issue, gave me a quote and completed the work with James the next day. Keith prepared all of my paperwork for Com Ed and I was turned back on in no time. I called other plumbers and no one was willing to come out so quickly. I know they replaced my neighbors air conditioning and they were so happy with their service that is how I got the referral. Thank you Bruni & Campisi!

Been a customer for years. Sold house. Asked for minimal servicing for heating and cooling per engineers request. Rude, arrogant idiot (backed up by rude, arrogant owner) wrote scathing report about things(on a 22 year old system) that I never asked for then told me I was was putting lives in jeopardy if I didn't address long list of problems (erroneous) to new buyers.
Stay away. Bad Bad Bad.

We called B&C to come repair a slow gas leak from our furnace. They did a cursory examination, failed to find the leak, and proceeded to recommend repairs costing hundreds of dollars or even complete replacement. We declined their advice and called back ConEd--luckily the very competent and helpful technician they sent out found the problem in a few minutes, a small tube leading to the pilot assembly that costs a few dollars. So we called B&C back to actually fix the issue they failed to find on their first visit. Needless to say, we won't be asking for their help again.

The other reviews I've seen are correct: at B&C, the customer is never right and they don't care if you're unhappy or were treated rudely. I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Update 5/7/16: I responded to B&C with the dates and invoice number of the visits I described. No word from them yet.

I had to replace my steam boiler... They did the job quick and well for half of the price of some other companies. Jack and James were very nice and professional (on time, cleaned up, meticulous) . Any question you might have they will answer it. I don't know about the maintenance team but this installation team rocks!

I am a first time Bruni and Campisi customer. This past winter on one of the coldest days we had I awoke to frozen pipes. I called, and the emergency dispatcher returned my call in a timely fashion and was very understanding and helpful. The tech that was dispatched to my house arrived in a timely manner. He was very thorough. Not only did he fix the issue but he was courteous. He gave me some tips on how to prevent this from happening in the future. From calling to the the actual tech arriving at my home I could say was a very pleasant experience.

I will most definitely be a returning customer. Despite the weather being unbearable the technician was nothing but helpful and prevented a bigger issue from happening .
