I have used Bruni & Campisi for several years for my home air conditioning service. Initially I liked them and the little penguin logo, but I will not use them going forward.
The reason for this is that I think that they overcharge and gouge customers for minor work.

They get a lot of business by sending out mailers for a spring air conditioning service and repair contract (which is meaningless) for a reasonable price. This hooks people (like me) and they show up for the service. The A.C. service itself is ok (However, they never figured out how to balance the air in my house). The problems arise if something else pops up.

Last year one of my units stopped running. B&C sent a tech over who went over to a switch on the unit, flipped it and handed me a bill for $300!!! He was in my house for less than 3 minutes. I called B&C to complain got the run around from several managers who were ""going to make good"" and ultimately nothing was done. I just gave up in disgust.

This year my wife unbeknownst to me, called them for a service and the technician told her our house was in danger of burning down unless he ""cleaned"" the coils of our outside units. The cleaning consisted of taking my hose and water and hosing off the units for five minutes. The cost? $400+. A complete rip.

I am now looking for a new A.C. company for next year because I will never use B&C again. People are happy to pay for good service, but when you start ripping off your customers it is not a good thing.

Don't be fooled by the cute little penguin!!!

do not use them. arrived late gave me 5 different reasons for one small leak all of which he was willing to fix but couldnt tell me what it would cost. he broke a valve and i paid him to go away.

Sal just left here. He was a pleasure. Although he came regarding the leaking dishwasher, he advised that it was an ""appliance"" job and gave me the name of the appliance guy.

Sal asked if anything else needed repair so we changed all the faucets (one was leaking but decided to do all of them for preventive reasons).

I was very happy with the service.

Worst experience ever! Spoke with Brian on the phone and told him this was our first time ever having to fix an air conditioner, in our first house. He was so confident when I told him we were comparison shopping, he told me to cancel all other appointments. WELL, HE DIDN'T SAY THEY NOT ONLY CHARGE FOR THE VISIT TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE, BUT ADD A FEE FOR EVERY HALF HOUR THE PERSON IS AT YOUR HOUSE. In fact, this was never stated until the time was taken to look at our system. Then the technician asked me to sign and PAY! I was astounded!

Neither the web site nor the agent on the phone mentioned any charge for an estimate, and a very nice local company had JUST been at our house and gave a fair, free estimate for the same job that WAS MORE AFFORDABLE AND INCLUDED EXTRA SERVICE ON OUR CENTRAL AC. Charlie, the technician was not friendly at all and I ended up kicking him out of our house while yelling at Brian on the phone for NEVER ANNOUNCING THERE WOULD BE ANY FEES COLLECTED FOR AN ESTIMATE.

I'd never use this company for anything, sorry to say.

We have been using Bruni & Campisi for many years. Their service is excellent, their technicians are always on time, curteous, knowledgeable and respectful of our home. The office staff is also very friendly, efficient and always call ahead to confirm appointments that have been made.
We recently had to replace a vent pipe (a big job) and David M and Chris, who were the techs on the job were amazing! The job took the entire day, and they were a pleasure to have around.
They took the time to protect our floors & rugs by placing CLEAN drop cloths throughtout the house. At the end of the day, we had some questions, and they answered all of them to our satisfaction.

We also just had our summer maintanence/check done. Paul Jones has been servicing our Heating and AC units for many years. He is THE BEST! Knowledgable and efficient, friendly and curteous and he is always showing and telling us how to keep our system working efficiently. We couldn't be more pleased.
We will continue to use Bruni and Campisi for all of our plumbling and Heating/AC needs.
We cannot say enough about this company and recommend them highly!

I had a thorny issue with a broken outside spigot that was leaking internally whenever i turned on the hose. The gentleman from Bruni & Campisi, Sal Lembo, came by when promised, and he diagnosed exactly what was wrong within seconds. More important, he took about five ingenious measurements with his measuring tape, and ascertained exactly where to access the hidden pipe from inside the house. He made a small incision in a drywall and bingo, there it was. (this is even more impressive when you realize it was a very complex location, underneath a stair on a staircase that was only accessible from the floor below, and the exact location was like finding a needle in a haystack).

Within an hour the entire problem was cleared up and repaired and cleaned up. He worked efficiently, quickly, and effectively. On top of everything else, he was as pleasant a guy as I can remember ever providing service in my home, and I will definitely ask for him the next time I have a plumbing issue. I can't recommend this company more highly. He respected my home, he wore protective ""booties"" on his shoes whenever he was inside the house, he let me know exactly what he was doing, he was conscious of safety and he took pains to protect my home (a spray water bottle, right within reach, when he was soldering inside the wall, to prevent any possibility of fire from a soldering spark). I couldn't be happier with the results, and his efficient no-nonsense work ethic got the entire job done within an hour. Definitely give these people a call, and if you are lucky enough to get Sal Lembo as your responder, well then, expect to be very pleased and impressed.

Very dissatisfied with service. Three different service men came to the house. I was charged each time; each told me a different story; all failed to fix the problem. I am now being told I need new parts. I have sought satisfaction from management and have complained. I cannot get anyone from management to return my calls. Do not use this company!
