Scam company. Takes advantage of clients, lies, and isn't transparent with customers. At all. Not sure how this BS place exists and overcharges so many people. Stay away from Bruni & Campisi. Will be telling others not to use this place. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Called for furnace problems 2 weeks ago tomorrow
Sent someone out that day around 2. Called them at 6:30 am. Ok np. Tech came was there about 40 minutes.
I was with him the whole time. The only thing he did was to use a wire stripper to "" jump "" a connection?
Then told me it was motherboard. Was bad needed to be replaced. This cost $227. Then was told the part and install was $660. Asked if someone would be calling to let me know about part. Was told absolutely Asap. Didn't hear from them until I called next day around 3. Vanessa told me , 1st the quote was wrong, it would be $880 and the part would have to be ordered it would take 1-2 business days That was Thursday Didn't hear anything. Called today was told part would take about 7 business days. So that would be this Friday ( if it came in). Then they would call to set up appointment. So at best you figure next Monday. Outrageous. Almost 2 weeks without Heat. Because of a part?? It's a Trane Furnace. They have a supply house that is close by. Just don't get it.
Never returned any calls, outrageous prices, honestly don't think it was motherboard ( the light blinked 3x red witch indicated a pressure switch problem) tech told me couldn't go by that as motherboard was bad. Really???
Just so tough to find good, honest people.
Horrible experience.

Technician came to perform yearly maintenance. Said everything was operational. 1.5 weeks later, system gets turned on for first time, furnace doesn't light. So I call and am told they'd have to schedule a service call for minimum $90 because they don't guarantee their tune-up work. I get it--time is money. I tell them if I schedule a service call and someone comes out and needs to fix something that broke mysteriously in the 1.5 weeks the furnace was sitting dormant since the maintenance call, I'll pay it. But if someone comes and makes a small adjustment that should have been done by the maintenance person, I don't think I should be charged. Nope. Company policy is minimum cost is $90, and they don't guarantee their tune-up work. Why would I use anyone that doesn't guarantee their work?

If there were a way to select zero stars, that would be my rating. They don't serve Geo Thermal as they say they do. They've been our service provider for 1 year. My geo thermal system was ""locked out"" and not blowing cool air in August 2022. They came, said they fixed it, I paid $600 with a credit card but it didn't get any cooler. I called same day in the evening to tell them. They didn't call me back. I called again on Friday afternoon and they proceeded to tell me that there would be a call out fee if it was something different from what they ""fixed"" the day before. When I objected because I already paid $600 and it still didn't work, Diana relented and sent a tech. He came and told me my condenser was gone and nothing could be done. I called Diana back and needless to say, the conversation got a little spicy but calmer heads prevailed and a plan was in place for the supervisor supposedly in charge of geo thermal to come when he was available on Tuesday. This was Friday night. Tuesday came, supervisor (Tony) confirmed condenser was the problem. I agreed to the verbal estimate ranged and waited for them to call to start the work. Diana called the next day with a $7,200 estimate for the work and 10 days out for parts to be ordered, I agreed but she then changed her story and said that she didn't recommend it be their geo thermal guy had left the company. She refunded the $600. TWO days later a tech in the office (Chris) called and said left a message they could do the work for $3,800. When I called him back he backtracked and said that he spoke to Diana and didn't know the geo thermal guy left. Soooo...either they're lying or inept, either way, stay away. They did refund the $600.

They have flat rate billing which means charges can be any arbitrary number $500, $1000, $5000..Sunday AC service changing a $17 capacitor was billed at $502 which took less than 10 minutes. I called today to get a breakdown or charge basis. There is none.

I just can't trust this company.. The technician was good but the people in the office (Eric) pad the bill for time that they didn't spend and I find it quite odd that there's no one in the office to speak with. Is it because I'm a woman or because I've already paid my bill?

Definitely won't be calling them again.

I was told over the phone that the technician would charge a fee of under $100 (don't remember the exact value), and if more repair is needed, they will quote me and the initial fee goes toward the services quoted. When the guy showed up, he spent all of five minutes or so before saying my fee was waived but he needed to charge me an extra $200 to check the pressure of my R22 refrigerant. I reluctantly accepted. He specifically told me, upon questioning, that he would send me an invoice with the amount of refrigerant used, which would be charged by the lb. When he was done, I asked him several times for the amount used, but he did not provide a value, just said that the invoice will have all the info. He chat he's nearly $1000 for recharging my two condensers. The invoice does not provide the amount of refrigerant used. I don't know what the per pound cost was, or how much was used. There are other contractors around who may provide a more honest and clear breakdown of services as promised. I will not use their service again, and encourage you to request a detailed breakdown of all services before agreeing to anything with them.

I had a service on my boiler from This company. They sent someone over. As soon as this guy arrived, he asked me to leave the boiler room because he CANNOT perform his job with me around. What does it tell you that a technical can only ""do"" his job when a customer is not watching?! He must be cheating instead of doing what he's supposed to do! 5 months after, my boiler is throwing a message saying ""service is due"" again. We had the service at the end of 2021, in the middle of the winter. The boiler only ran for another 3-4 months after the service was perform, how is it possible that it needs another service if the job was done correctly or if at all!!! I called Bruni and Campisi, but they refused to come back to check on the work their technician did and refused to refund me for the service charge of $170. Don't use this company, they don't have business ethics , they don't know what they are doing and they only rip you off. They are cheaters!

Stay away! I had a service guy ( who's name is mentioned in other negative posts) come to my house and immediately started complaining that my unit was old ( its about 15 years old) and was pressuring me to buy a new Bruni Campisi unit that's made by them, I wasn't prepared to spend 15k on the spot so I asked him to do the repair today and I'll think about a new unit at another time. All that was needed was to resolve a pilot light that wasn't igniting- He just kept on and on with me needing a new filter system, he insisted my PVC pipe that handles the water run off needed to be replaced and he was frustrated because he was only getting $400 out of me for the service call. So he fixed the issue and left and after about 10 minutes I went to look at my unit and noticed there was now water leaking out of the PVC pipe, something that has never happened before in 20 years, this a-hole cut the pipe and created a leak- I immediately called him back and when he did, he's like, "" I told you the pipe needed to be replaced, see I was right"". He replaced the pipe for another $400 !! it took 10 minutes, I paid because I had no intension of actually paying it, I called my bank and cancelled the check-. I have a good feeling this company looks favorably at the service guys who bill out the most each day. They have to be crazy to think I'm going to buy a new unit from them- their units that they push are B&C units that they make themselves, the last thing I want is to be locked into a unit that only they can fix with proprietary parts.

This past weekend, during a 90+ temp heatwave, my house in Eastchester had an issue with the AC. It was not blowing cold air. The system is old and I have used B and C before so we called them....at least 3x
We have a 2 year old and 4year old in that house. They advertise 24 hr service. We did not hear back from them until we called them again on Tuesday. We were told that they were ONLY doing emergency calls...extra money of course. Why? They said they would send a tech after 4pm. At 710pm we recieved a text saying a tech was on the way. 10 min later we got a call saying sorry, no one is coming as all their supplies were used up with previous calls. When we complained that the children were sweltering, their response was, "" What do you want us to do? Open some windows."" Unacceptable. So now here we sit. Hopefully it will be alright. 24 hrs response? Liars!
