I waited all day (Thursday) for 12-4p appointment that was scheduled four days ago on Monday to fix my broken AC. After 4p came and went I called. They had no record of the appointment and only offered to start the whole scheduling process over and wait a few more days with no AC. No offer to come out tonight to make it right, no offer for a discount or their mistake - just ""sorry"". Told them they just lost a customer. Only response was ""You've only used us twice before."" No loss to them.

I've used Bruce Solomon Plumbing for over 20 years. That is until recently. They were never the least expensive, but mindful of the adage you get what you pay for I was willing to pay a bit more to get things right. Unfortunately I'm not willing to pay to get ripped off. Perhaps Bruce is less involved these days and isn't fully aware of what is happening, but that is no excuse for unscrupulous behavior.

We have a preventative maintenance contract with Bruce Solomon, the intent of which is to ensure that our HVAC equipment remains in working order. Within a day of our most recent visit, our AC system began having issues and within a week it all but stopped working. A bit of a suspicious coincidence made worse by the surprisingly prescient mafia like observation the technician made during his last call saying no repairs are recommended ""if a problem should happen to come around"". Having lost all trust in Bruce Solomon Plumbing I called in another vendor who inspected the system and reported that it had no coolant in it all despite being reported to be in perfect working order just days before. I was also advised that my system had ""dye"" in the compressor indicating that someone was looking for a leak, which was equally strange as this was not reported to me and was not reflected on the report Bruce's tech left behind.

For those of you who believe in giving someone the benefit of the doubt, believe me, I do as well, but this is not Solomon's first strike. A short while back we had to replace our water heater and in doing so the technician ""harvested"" several dozen feet of copper piping from my system replacing it with PVC. That copper is worth quite a bit and at no time was I asked to give permission nor was the value credited back against my bill.

Bottom line, if trust is important to you in your plumber, be advised you may want to look elsewhere.

Bruce and his team are nothing less than amazing! They are knowledgeable, responsive, and stand behind their work. My entire family uses them and have for years.

I always hope my problem is something that they can fix because they are so easy to deal with, and I never worry about service after the fact.

They provide a total complete price before any work begins. If you find price shopping results in you finding a slightly lower price elsewhere, Bruce Soloman Plumbing is worth it!

We have been using Bruce Solomon for years and I am really surprised at these reviews on Yelp. They do quality work at reasonable prices and we have never been disappointed in their workmanship. Have recommended them to all of my friends and family.

I called Bruce Solomon because they were a plumber in my local area. I did a demo of my hallway bath and needed the plumbing connected to the new tub I purchased. I had already dropped the new tub in so I figured it would be simple. My garbage disposal was backing up and I needed that to be looked at as well and I wanted to have a new garden tub installed in my master bath. Bruce Solomon quoted me $1900 for the hallway tub install, $525 to take the garbage disposal out and correctly mount it and $3950 to install the new tub in my master bath. I couldn't believe it and he told me the only thing he could do today was the garbage disposal. No thank you in all of the jobs. I quickly called another well known plumbing company in the area and they were here today on a Saturday within the hour. The hallway bath and remounting and fixing the garbage disposal came to $680, not $2,425 that Bruce Solomon was going to charge. The plumber from Bruce Solomon told me that the work was an all day job, while the other plumber was here for two hours and forty five minutes. I saved a bunch of money that I wasn't going to spend anyway and I still have time to enjoy my day. I still think the job was a little high, but a Saturday and last minute call on something I needed done today was well worth it. BRUCE SOLOMON WILL NEVER GET MY MONEY. If I could give them no stars they earned it...plus they charged me $40 for a service call and did nothing but waste my time and Morning. The other company did not charge a service call and got my business.

Called them out as water from the sump pump was discharging close to the foundation. Wanted to charge $3000.00 to reroute the line. My brother and I decided to do the job and paid less than $350.00 for a new sump pump, PVC, and miscellaneous parts. Everything is working fine. Based on other reviews of this company there appears to be a consistent theme...VERY EXPENSIVE!!!!

Major ripoff!!!! You will be charged 3 or 4 times what a reasonable rate would be for any service.

Danny and Mike came out to install a new gas oven and range I've had sitting in my living room for over 6 weeks because other companies were unable to complete the installation due to complications with some highly-customized gas lines. They both did a phenomenal job at an affordable cost while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Even my contacts with the office personnel were always very friendly and professional.

I'm extremely satisfied with the service I've been provided and although I've never used this company before, I plan to use them for all future gas and plumbing-related issues.

I had them come out to look at an outdoor spigot. I had no problem with the $40 service charge. I did how ever had a problem with the quote of $540.00 to fix it!!!! I'm not sure what they're smoking, but it must be good! I can't believe there are people out there that actually pay these prices!!!!

Ripoff artist. If you're in a bind, expect to be charged almost double what a reasonable rate would be. If you think being a long time customer matters, think again. This guy is why plumbers and heating people have a bad rep.
