The service was very good and the staff was friendly but i thought it was a bit expensive so i asked around and everyone agreed it seemed very high. This week i had a similar issue (running toilet) in a different bathroom and i called in another local plumbing company and what i was charged $349 in August from Brown's cost me $149 from another plumbing company and he noted his 1 year guarantee. While I don't have any complaints about the service I see no need to pay more than double other plumbing companies.

It was going on midnight last week when I called Brown's for a shower that wouldn't turn off. I spoke with their answering service and they said someone would return the call within 15 minutes. Ten minutes later, Brown's on-call plumber Brian phoned and said he'd be there in 7 minutes. He was there in 7 minutes, fixed it and left at 2 am. Time and again, they are as good as their word.

Update: owner Ray contacted me after my initial review and told me that Brown's no longer charges for estimates. He said that he is having issues with his front office staff and he apologized for the incorrect information. He offered to come out and do a free estimate and I've decided to take him up on his offer.

This business DOES NOT PROVIDE QUOTES. Only sends an auto email acknowledging someone will reach out to you. Once on the phone stated to me that a service call would be $99.00 and did not provide any quote to fix a clogged up kitchen sink/trap cleaning for garbage disposal. Once here serviceman consults a three ring binder to then quote a price of $366.00 to do the work. I will not be calling Brown's Heating, Cooling and Plumbing if they were the last plumber on Earth.

Quoting Charles P in the previous review ""THEY ARE NOT INEXPENSIVE."" I contacted Browns Plumbing to come out to repair a running toilet. I previously bought the parts to repair at Lowes for $10.00 (Thank Goodness), but couldn't figure out how to repair it myself.
Browns charges $99.95 to come into your home. They claim to analyze the problem. I guess I wasn't smart enough to know my toilet was running I need them to tell me. A normal assumption would be that the charge for the service call would come off the price of repair. NO, not so. In addition to the service charge and the cost of repairing the running toilet $140.00 since I had my own parts - ridiculous, the plumbler told my husband we needed a new valve under the toilet. Yes, it was old - NO we did not need it - amount $180.00.
BIGGEST RIP OFF. DON'T USE BROWNS PLUMBING. THEY ARE EXTREMELY OVERPRICED.

Decided to get rid of my oil/steam furnace and oil HWH. First had Perri over. Browns estimate was a full $3,000 less. The irritating Perri salesman then called and offered to ""sharpen his pencil"" on the price but by that time I was done with them. I don't have the time to deal with games like that.

The Lennox HVAC system Browns installed provides seamless heating and cooling. My heating bill dropped so much vs oil, the new system paid for itself already.

These guys (and the ladies in the office Dawn/Lisa) are true professionals. Had them in for an estimate and once I decided to have the work done they were timely and thorough. I had tried to secure other estimates and none compared to Browns. I would recommend them to all friends and family.

Excellent service. They were able to fix my emergency plumbing situation promptly and were extremely helpful and informative. Definitely worth the cost. We will be using them next time!
