Recommended Customer Reviews
Well I'm am very pleased with my basement and laundry room update. This company was top NOTCH... Professional and promising. Communication was exceptional. In dealing with contractors, I understand that some material may not be available as planned, or in business that unforeseen circumstances may come. This contractor was on target relaying the steps of this process. They worked with me to give me not only what I wanted but what was needed. Plumbing, new pipe work, drywall, concrete, flooring, and carpet. Reinstalled new windows. I am pleased with the pricing, and service. They did an outstanding job to say the least!
Thank you for an outstanding job and communication
I had to wait until the next week for an appointment. Received two automated confirmations. Contractor was a no show with no notice. Called office, got called back by Junior who gave me several weak excuses and absolutely no guarantee as to when the estimator was going to show and no explanation as to why I did not get a call regarding the no show. Estimator calls me and states the earliest he can get over is in the afternoon (it was a 9:30 am appt). Waste of my time.
I would give 0 stars if I could. Extremely UNPROFESSIONAL! I reached out to Browns Construction to get an estimate on some concrete work. It was very easy to make an appointment. The apt was confirmed by BC before. I confirm the appointment the day off. I get a message back saying he doesn't clock in till that time and will be late (?). I said that's fine, I can wait. 15 minutes into the appointment time, the son calls me an demands $60 last minute for the ""Free"" estimate since it's inconvenient for him. I was confused and asked why. He said I'm far and it's inconvenient for him. I asked him why my address is new information since it was required to create an appointment almost a week ago! Further, my location is right in the service area per Yelp. Not to mention he was a no show with the last minute money grab. I would have had no issue with the extra charge if they were indeed outside my service area and given me the info ahead of time. Last minute and shady! This info is not on their website or in any of the appointment emails they sent me (total of 3). Sounds scammy.
I scheduled an estimate appointment via their scheduling on their website as directed. Appt was for 4:30. 3 days later (today) they text that they are coming at 1:30. I texted back that no one will be there at 1:30. Then I called. Todd told me that they don't do estimates after 3 or something. I said no one will be there. He said they don't work past 5:00 & the website has the work hours. I told him no, I picked as one of the times listed as available in the estimate scheduling section and it was confirmed. I told him that he should fix the website . He got argumentative. I told him never mind. Not looking like a good working relationship before anything even happened!
Bruce H.What was promised to us as a 2-day job turned into 2 weeks. Junior managed to come up with every excuse for delays, including blaming us for selecting a concrete stamper that had to be special ordered. You'd think all of this should have been settled during the lead up to pouring. The actual work quality, as shown in attached, is sloppy - step not lined up with walk, water marks due to improper tenting in the rain. Last straw was the text received from Junior (attached) that was unbelievably condescending and obnoxious.
We ultimately settled on a discount, but we are left with a shoddy job.
Would NOT recommend hire.
Very unprofessional and tried to get over on me! Luckily I have common sense to know I shouldn't be paying $1000-$1500 for a service that would be only $150. Next day another company snaked my drain, no B.S. I knew they weren't ready to work when he came in a Nike sweat suit driving a luxury car lol.
As Browns had contacted us rather late after submitting our initial Yelp request, we had already found another contractor to do the work.
Seeing that they advertised that ""No job was to small"" (don't ask me, I didn't write it), we inquired about a mailbox post that needed replacement.
Despite two follow ups, they never responded.
Guess the job was ""to"" small.
We hired Browns Construction for a small stucco repair job that we had neglected for a while. They gave me an estimate by phone which I thought was fair, so they came for an in-person inspection to provide me a written quote. They had one of the better prices for the job, so we went with them. When it became clear that a snow storm was going to delay the work, Todd was very responsive and worked with me to find a better date (the very next day). He came as promised, texted before he arrived, and got the job done in great time. I made a small change to the plan (regarding the finish of the stucco) day of, and Todd was very accommodating of this. After they were done they cleaned up (not perfectly, but I wasn't necessarily expecting everything to be perfectly clean after stucco work!) Altogether, a great experience, and would certainly recommend them.
I needed some foundation repair done. I have a stone foundation. Very responsive and clear about timeline. They came over the same day and were able to give me a good quote that night. The owner came on site when the work got started to make sure his employees were moving along. If you need work done in the western suburb of Philadelphia this is a good company to call. The only drawback I would say they have is that the expect 100 percent of the payment at 75 percent completion. While it makes sense from cash flows the final payment should only happen when the work is completed.
Raghav M.Professional. Quick. Safe with wearing masks and keeping distance. Junior was very knowledgeable. Just note a 50 dollar mandatory fee to have someone take a look at the problem, which will be taken out of the total bill for service.
