A few years ago I spent a lot of money getting my entire septic system replaced by Brownies. I called to have it pumped out and serviced and told them I was a return customer. They said somebody would call back in 30 minutes or less. They never called. I tried calling back and got a busy signal. So a friend recommend Dial Septic Tank Service in Oviedo and I called them. They showed up promptly and pumped and serviced the tank. They told me about service and the drain field filter and what to watch for...which Brownies did not when they installed the system. Plus, the were $75.00 cheaper than Brownies! I guess Brownies is MIA. Seems like a mistake to tell them I was a returning customer, because they then knew they couldn't up sell a system to me......

Very disrespectful of your time. I called for an appointment and was given 8-1 and spent the morning waiting as I wanted watch what they were doing. No show and no call until 3:00 in the afternoon which was the time I told the receptionist that I had to leave, interesting. They were not apologetic and kept telling me he could do it without me being there. It is not prudent to have someone on your property without you being there.

We hired brownies to do a large job at our condo complex. In the beginning they were very responsive, but faded as the job progressed. They cleaned one building, which later had a significant backup causing them to not work with us to finish up several items beyond the scope of the original contract. We had to supervise the storm drain cleaning very closely and the operator of the vacuum truck skipped several drains which they had to come back another day to finish up. He told me they had cleaned when obviously they had not. Very frustrating

Great group of people, I really appreciate that Boogie took the time to teach me about the proper way to take care of my tank to avoid expenses in the future, definitely above and beyond

Set up an appointment early in the week for a pump out on Friday. Called Friday morning to confirm that it would today (Friday) between 10am -2pm. They never showed. Called to ask when they would come out and was told that they had us for tomorrow, Saturday. Wasted a whole day waiting for them. I don't understand why they confirmed for today then. Their loss; called someone else to come out tonight and ended up signing for a new drain field to be installed.

Hello, I called this company to pump out my septic and they offered an appointment between 8am and noon. They told me they would call 30 minutes prior to their arrival. The never called and showed up at 11:40pm. Then after partially emptying my septic the driver told me his truck was full and he would be back in 20 minutes. 2 hours later I called the company to find out what was going on. I was told that it took over 2 hours to get from my house to empty a truck and return. After complaining of waiting for them to arrive all morning and then again most of the afternoon to get them back here to finish the job I was basically told oh well by the dispatcher. I urge you to not use this company! They are very unreliable and don't care either way how important your time is! I hope this helps some of you whose time is important to them! Thanks, Wade R.

For any out there thinking of replacing their septic drain field system. All seemed fine until it was time to close the drain field. A Brownie's employee showed up in the middle of a heavy thunder storm to cover the hole. He was in a rush, and ended up filling the hole with old drain field materials, including old pipes, rocks, large tree roots and grass, etc. We weren't able to come out to stop him because of the heavy rain and lightning. We watched through our cameras highly concerned over the safety of the newly installed drain field system. We called the Brownies' office. The Brownie's manager said what her guy did was """"fine,"""" but they would go ahead and replace the dirt with new sand. She then proceeded to assure us that this is how they do business every single day and that someone would come back to our residence the following day to do some clean up. However, the damage was already done. We wrote Brownie's a letter stating our concerns and included some pictures. They dismissed our concerns saying basically """"all was ok, not to worry about it."""" So, we contacted the Tallahassee Department of Health for assurance, which is a suggested course of action listed by Brownie's in their own paperwork if there are any concerns. The TDH told us to stop Brownie's from further work and to get the Orange County Department of Health involved. We called Brownie's and spoke to the manager again. This time she was very rude. She questioned who we talked to from the OCDH and demanded a name. She also emphatically stated that they don't know what they are talking about. She stated the old waste that was put back in the drain field was good and it didn't need removal. We told her about the research we had done, but she just told us the internet in not a reliable source of information. We mentioned some of their bad reviews and she said people write bad reviews because they don't want to pay. She got very defensive, saying she would call the Orange County Health Department immediately, and she abruptly hung up. This manager not only misled us by telling us these were proper procedures. She also misled the OCDH. She told them that they had removed the old pipes and hauled away in a pickup truck. Fortunately, we had pictures that showed otherwise. The Orange County Department of Health sent two inspectors to dig up the hole and collect evidence while the Brownie's people were on-site. They informed us that the old drain field material definitely should not have been put back in the hole. The old waste would eventually block and/or break the chambers. Also, one side of our newly replaced drain field was not cleaned properly and the wall was not compacted with clean sand. The Orange County Department of Health ordered Brownies to redo our drain field. When the second job was completed, Brownie's left us with a ton of cleanup work, more damage to a larger area of good grass, large amounts of rocks scattered about the property, and a bunch of sand on the street. It had been over a month and we were still fighting them to remove a false charge for a septic tank lid that was never replaced. We wrote a letter to the owner of Brownie's septic, and received a response stating that if we pay in full, he would credit us the septic tank lid that was never replaced in the first place. He just bragged about the """"350 jobs he does a year,"""" and that he's """"been in business for 70 years"""" Completing 350 jobs a year isn't a valid reason for treating us the way they did, plus the work they do is buried out of sight. So, we clearly wouldn't recommend Brownie's septic. However, if you're contracting any septic company, please watch the whole process if you can. Even if they are just emptying your septic tank, if you are not watching, it may not get emptied properly. Also, make sure to read the Health Department guidelines. We all want our systems to last, and most importantly to protect our drinking water, our health, and our environment.

What a joke. I got scheduled for an appointment and took a day off work for the appointment. The same day they messaged me and said """"We rescheduled you for Saturday midday."""" No apology, just rescheduled. So then I had to take half a day off of work on Saturday and guess what? THEY DID NOT SHOW UP AGAIN! NO CALL, NO MESSAGE, NOTHING. My neighborhood has used them previously so now I'm sharing with them all that we need to switch. Completely unreliable and even if they did show up you can't trust the work of people who are this unprofessional.

My house was built at the end of 1989 so we moved in Fe 1990. I had a family with 2 sons that moved in in the middle of 9th grade and 7th grade. The septic tank and field got really used as a family would. IT LASTED 20 YEARS. so then I had Brownies put my second drainage field in. IMAGINE MY SURPRISE WHEN IT ONLY LASTED 5 YEARS AND THEY TRIED TO BLAME ME. They did not help me whatsoever. Every excuse they came up with, I could prove that I didn't do. Like, cooking with grease can ruin it. I told them I don't cook I receive frozen foods and use the microwave. And I dump in the wastebasket, not in the sink. I learned to put toilet paper in doggy bags-not in the toilet. And I have been using the septic tank only and having it emptied by another company when needed. If their employee had done the job properly in April on the first call, my septic would have never backed up in July when I had to call them the second time bc I really still had the problem """"when it was really a rainy day"""". I am a widow. I was the only one in the house. and Brownies was giving ME a hard time.
