I wish I would have looked at yelp first. I had ken brown "fix" my lines to my washer. 420$. Does not work. Then my credit card was used to open a cash app account where he took money out. Bank recommened filling a police report, so we did. I would highly recommended anyone else that has been scammed by him to contact the police. This is very disheartening to say the least.

It really takes a lot for me to bad mouth a business, especially small businesses, but if you're in the Denton area DO NOT USE Brown and Sons Plumbing. I called them in early December about our clogged toilet fiasco, arranged for them to come out then canceled within a few minutes because someone else was able to come out sooner. We'd been dealing with the clog for HOURS at that point. Whomever i spoke to was VERY rude but they reversed the charge on my credit card so i figured that was that. Jan 1st i find a charge from them on my card for a higher amount and contacted them about why i was being charged for services we did not have. I've been told over and over that the owner would be contacting me and that the issue was being looked into. I've still not been contacted by the owner and any contact with them has been totally one sided. Today I was told that they haven't heard from the owner in over a week and are contacting hospitals and jails to determine his whereabouts. F#$%&*@ GREAT! Time to cancel my credit card

By all means please do contract this "plumbing company" if you want to be ripped off and want your job stopped half way through. I contracted this "company" for plumbing work. They started the job, I gave partial payment and then never heard from them again. They blocked my phone number and refused to return any of my calls. Do yourself a favor and do not call them for anything. If I could give negative stars, i would.

Do NOT use this company. First of all, they installed a commercial water heater in our home, we had trouble within two days of the install. We called them to come out, we even had to take off of work and they didn't show up. I tried to call again to set up another time, I didn't get a call, I got a text! Who does that? It's not professional. We set another time for them to inspect it and guess what? They didn't show up AGAIN!
We had to pay upfront 80% and then after the install, we were told to write the final payment out to just a first name. Within 30 minutes we were called by a cash checking store to verify the check. We still have problems, have not heard from them.
Please reconsider if you have scheduled anything with this company.

I contacted Brown and Son during the first week of October to check out our propane fireplace. Eventually a technician showed up on 10/5 and began to check it out. He said the control valve was defective. He took the valve off and said he would be back over the weekend to install a new valve with remote control. I paid him in advance (a mistake) and to date have not heard a word back from the company, even after repeated calls to their call center. I am demanding a full refund and a return of the original valve the technician took with him. I would caution anyone NOT TO DO BUSINESS with Brown and Son Plumbing. Jim M. Oak Point, TX

The most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with in all my years of homeownership. Hired these guys to fix a leaky outside faucet, they showed up totally unprepared to replace it and had to go get one after I stated on the phone what the job was about beforehand. The plumbing supply store is less than 5 miles away and it took them over 2hrs to return. After returning and starting the job they got one of their tools stuck in my water shut-off lid that a worker spent at least 15mins. trying to dislodge. And ultimately left the lid off and a tool in my front yard after they left. Upon payment I was asked to enter my CC info into to a "bill pay" app which was rejected, but tied up the money (over $300) for three days. I was then asked for a check for the amount (which I gave) and the check they submitted that afternoon and cleared the next day. The following night after 10 pm I received a text message demanding pymnt. from the owners wife stating" they baby needs to eat" mind you this was AFTER they had already cashed my check the following day! These guys are a joke and do not have their act together. I would definitely not recommend! VERY shady 'business' practices with these guys.

Do not use this company!! It has been an absolute nightmare. They had me pay almost 80% upfront and then delivered damaged equipment, took out the wrong A/C and then could not fix it so we ended up having to call another company and having to replace two units instead of just one. In over a week they still had not even attempted to install the unit they were hired to do. They did not show up each day until around 4:00 pm and got nothing done other than steal personal items from the house and brake our A/C that worked. The worst experience I have ever had!!!

I was terribly disappointed in this company and their service. First of all we put the service call in at 8:00 am and we didn't see anyone until 5:30. He was very apologetic for his being late after giving us a time of 4:30. After diagnosing our problem, he told us he needed a part but assured us he would be back first thing in the morning with it. We gave the man our money and after lots of time in his van on and off he left. He never came back to do the job in the morning. I called several times to no avail. My final call was to let the answering service (because that's all I could reach)know that I would be reversing the charge and calling someone else.

Hill Billy plumbers at best! How hard is it to fix a water line properly? 2 days without water and it's still not fixed. I have a kennel business and a home attached to that water line. Maybe I should just fix it myself.

If there was a place for no stars I would click on it.
We had two issues. (1) a trap needed to be snaked out and (2) the commode was running and needed a small rubber washer.
Had an apt for 10-12 noon. Called at 2:00 and the plumbers were tied up on another job. Not a problem since things happen. They arrived at 5:45pm.
They presented me with an estimate of $850 and generously offered a 10% discount due to their lateness. I have had the trap cleaned out numerous times over the years and it has never cost more than $200. The washer had to cost no more than 50 cents. So much for parts.
I asked them politely to leave the premise. I called another plumber and they came out first thing next morning. It took them 20 minutes. One guy cleaning the trap the other to fix the commode.
Cost $185.
2/26/16 I appreciate your reply even though it makes no sense whatsoever.
1) you didn't charge me $1.00? Why would you? Do you charge for estimates?
2) I am not a customer of yours? Is there two sets of prices? One for customers and one for new business? Seems like a strange way to run a business.
3) I have had the trap cleaned out like three times in 30 years. That does not seem excessive to me. I mean this is not rocket science that your snake is sooooo much better than someone else uses. The washer was in the commode since the guest house was built which was 20 years ago.
How about addressing the real issue here. $850 for 20 minutes of work for two guys. How about justifying that, other than you think new customers are village idiots.
