Called Brown to come service a 1 year old Trane air conditioner. The technician removed the panel on the air handler to do the service. I did not noticed right away that he did not put it back properly. Not only we could not access the breaker switch but he had also caused damages to the system ( Air conditioner stopped working completely). He also had the audacity to try to sell me unnecessary parts and to stick his sticker on top of the company who installed the unit in the first place. I had to call the original installer to come fix the damages caused by the Brown employee. I had bought a buy one get one free service from Brown assuming it was a great deal. They are incompetent and will try to rip you off. Stay away.

We had a new $10,000 high efficiency AC by YORK put in our home June 23 and have had the repairmen and installers here 2-3 times a week for the last 3 months. It has never worked properly, will not cool the house, freezes up, it is always one thing or the other every time the men come out to repair it. The bottom line is the unit needs to be completely scrapped and a new one put in, we have been told the company will not do that. So here we are 3 months later and still have no AC that consistently works. The repairmen do come out when we call, often days later, but they do come, it is just that no one seems to really know what is wrong with it. It is way too hot and it has been way too long to continue to put up with this situation. I simply cannot recommend this company after 3 months of weekly repair calls. If the unit itself is a lemon, then we should be given a new one.

I made the mistake of hiring these clowns back on 11/04/20 and find myself having the same exact issues today that I had then. I called them to come back and fix what they were already paid to fix and they informed me their work has a warranty of 30 days only and they I would be billed for another service call. I not so politely declined. FYI: Their invoice has """"100% Satisfaction Guaranteed"""" printed on it. What a joke. I had to select at least one star in order to post this, the actual rating is ZERO.

We recently moved to Florida and the house needed a new HVAC system in the worst way. We called Brown and got an appointment for the next day. Jose Galicia and his team, Junior and Andrew arrived on time, were super courteous, left the HVAC room spotless and made excellent suggestions on how to maintain the new system. We couldn't be happier! To Jose, Junior, Andrew and all the office staff (who were so wonderful and accommodating) our sincere thanks! I would recommend Brown Heating & Cooling of Palmetto without reservation. OUTSTANDING job!

Horrible service from Brown Heating and Cooling out of Palmetto, Fl. The general manager, Steve Clemens, incorrectly measured the closet space for the air handler, resulting in the air handler not fitting in the closet. Had to wait over one hour for a new air handler to arrive. Installers did not properly connect the air handler to the ductwork. Was told repairs would be made between noon and 2 PM. It's 3:48 PM and still no workers. Called to ask when they would be here. Told in another 30 minutes.

He doesn't try to tell customers they need a """"New System"""" if they don't, unlike a lot of other companies in the Ruskin, Riverview, Apollo Beach areas. Concerned my mother was paying way too much money in unwanted air conditioning services and repairs by one company I called a Brown Heating and Cooling near her home in Ruskin, FL..... I talked to Andrew Hopkins, the manager and asked him many pointed questions which I felt he honestly answered. He came right away to check out the unit and as it was old he offered a price on a new air conditioning unit that was thousands of dollars less than the first company's quote and gave her a 10 year warranty on parts and most importantly a 10 year warranty on labor. The new unit was installed a couple of days later and everything was well explained to my mother about registering the unit online. Great service by a local company I feel can be trusted. Thanks
