I stopped by Brown Hardware to find hot and cold water hoses for a washer and dryer after reading such glowing reviews about the customer service and was extremely disappointed when the service I received was curt, unprofessional, and begrudging at best. When I explained to the person at the counter that I was getting a washer and dryer installed the next day and asked what hoses I might need (a basic question that the good folks over at Home Depot had no issue whatsoever not only answering but politely directing me to exact hoses to complete the job) the person working at the counter literally said ""I don't know either"" while he stared at me expressionless. As I went to provide more information and clarify a few additional details hoping that would make it easier to assist me, he cut me off and just shrugged making it clear that he was NOT interested in or willing to help me at all. I've never had such unapologetically terrible service and the assistance that I received at Home Depot a mere 15 minutes later was glowing in comparison (which is truly saying a lot). Do your self a favor and find somewhere else to get your hardware.

Bought a bag of mortar that was rock hard and I noticed when I got outside .so I go back in to tell him and he says you drop it on the ground and it will loosen up so insted of arguing I go outside and drop it and guess what bag rips and mortar is rock solid don't go here old stock and bad customer service!!!!!!!!

Little disappointed, felt they took advantage of a female in distress. Lawn Mower stopped working, sounded like something was in the motor. Took it to Brown for service and found out it was only a bent blade, they replaced the blade ($20) and new filter ($10) and charged me $75.00. So about $45.00 in labor for a 5 minute job? They used to be so helpful and reasonable, not sure what changed, but would no longer recommend

Old school customer service at it's best.......the moment you walk in, you're kindly greeted and asked if you need any help finding what you're looking for. And these guys have everything you need, and know exactly where it is. I wish there were more stores, no matter what kind of store it is, that followed the example set by the crew at Brown Hardware.
