I have had the pleasure of being assisted by this company 3 times and every time, I have been very happy with them and their services. Fair prices and efficient, and the employees are extremely kind and personable. I will continue to use this company!
They came out and did inspection on a furnace and a hot water heater on a home I was considering purchasing. Not only were they quick to get me scheduled, arrived on time, completed a through inspection and explained the results. Very happy with them and would highly recommend. They are local in Benton Co 30-35 years.
Austin E.I don't write many reviews but I felt that good work deserves to be credited. I recently had the unfortunate event of our water heater going out and I am not even close to being good at understanding anything plumbing related. I had some friends from Fowler who recommended Brouillette heating and cooling because they are highly respected but yet a small family ran business from that area and for me that is more encouraging than dealing with some of the other companies here in West Lafayette that I've dealt with (won't mention names). I talked to a girl named Vikki who was very informative of the situation and explained what they can do and then helped me schedule a time that worked for me. Afterwards a technician named Vic which afterwards I learned was the co-owner (honestly I would of never guessed an owner of their own company would work so hard until he said his name was Vic Brouillette) came out and got straight to work. He was very quick at narrowing down the issue and was amazing at explaining everything to me without making me feel dumb. Now I work in informational tech support and so I have high respect for other companies that show a good practice on supporting the client and Vic definitely showed that. Luckily Vic had the part that was broken in his truck and before I had time to even go checkup on him I heard a knock and he tells me that he is already done with the job. It was such a relief having hot water again and even more relieving getting it done in the timely matter that he did and plus I was able to explain everything to my roommates without an issue. Afterwards I asked him some other questions about some plumbing issues we were having in the house (landlord is about as handy as a flat tire) and then he just goes off and starts looking at everything else and before I knew it he was fixing issues I didn't even know we had. So we got the bill and I was amazed that they we only got charged for the part and the labor on just the water heater which, when you're in college ANY maintenance bill is a nightmare so when I saw that I was very relieved. I highly recommend Brouillette Heating Cooling and Plumbing to anyone who is looking for a small business that is family ran but with a work ethic of a large company that treats you with respect. Thank you again!! Will definitely call these guys next time we have an issue!
Emily W.""We do it right the first time,"" but when we don't we're going to lie and charge you for it. A technician (technician 1. I am keeping his name private as I will not disrespect him the way he did us.) came to our house back in January to fix what he thought was the gas valve on our furnace. Upon messing with the furnace, there was a loud pop and sparks. He turns to us and says ""I just blew your transformer."" He replaced the transformer, told us to order a gas valve and replace it ourselves as it would be cheaper than him replacing it. We did just that. My father came out and replaced the gas valve. That was not the issue. We called the company and told them that Technician 1 did not diagnose the issue right. They sent out Jason. Jason was amazing. He diagnosed it properly, and profusely apologized for technician 1's mistake. 7 months later we finally receive a bill. On the bill Jason's fee was waived, but we are being charged for technician 1's misdiagnosis and transformer replacement part which HE blew. My husband called to question the bill and was treated like the dirt on the bottom of their shoe from the person who deals with billing all the way to the owner. We were told ""well you're probably already bad mouthing us."" I'm not sure why I would bad mouth a company before trying to fix any issues with said company, but since we've been treated like trash, I will let everyone know of the terrible service we received.
Every professional makes mistakes. Everyone is human, it's going to happen. However, owning up to your mistakes, unlike what Technician 1 did as he lied through his teeth to the owner as well as on the phone with us, and finding ways to improve your skills for the next time is key to becoming a better professional. I hope with this instance, this company can learn to treat their customers with a little more respect, and others can learn from their mistakes versus blaming the customers for them.
